Took my 10 month old into the ER to get checked out and they came and looked at her. They checked her ears and temperature the normal things they do when you go into a hospital. We then spent about 2 hours there as they did blood work and had an X-ray done. They then came back and told us it was an ear infection and prescribed her amoxicillin which is a antibiotic and sent us home. Having a feeling that something else was wrong with her we then called her pediatrician and she said that there was no ear infection but they were a little red. She then said to go to IU Hospital. Once getting to IU they got the paperwork from Saint Elizabeth and it said that she had pneumonia. Why werent we told about the pneumonia? Thats a much bigger deal than just a minor ear infection as they had told us. A little over 12 hours later shes emitted into IU health with a antibiotic drip, Oxygen, and more blood work to do all because a incompetent doctor didnt tell us the actually diagnosis of a 10 month old baby. Wouldnt go back if my life or any of my familys lives depended on it.

I had open heart surgery the end of September and was asked to go to the Franciscan Heart Rehab Center. While I was off of work, everything was fine; however, when I went back to work, I could not get there until 4:10 PM and they close at 5. The staff definitely does not want to stay 1 minute past 5. I often had my rehab cut short because it was 4:55 and they wanted outta there. Basically, all I was able to do was walk on a treadmill, which I can do at home. There was one or two of the personnel who definitely did not really like working with people who sweat as comments were made to me that I was basically gross because I sweat when I worked out. Probably should not be working with people actually working out to get better! Needless to say, I only went to 16 of my 30 appointments as I did not feel like they really wanted to help get me better...well at least not if they had to stay a few minutes over.

Was in an emergent situation so tried to look past the reviews. Thought its about attitudes not treatment which is what I care about. As a medical professional I know people are tired and work late shifts but respect and professionalism are a different story. Coming in with an infected parotid gland to the ER at 2 am and having to beg for the correct treatment and medication and getting condescending responses and disrespectful attitudes is just absurd. Having the staff tell me they dont care if I have to drive 15 minutes to a to get a prescription filled now at 4 am while I am clearly in excruciating pain when they have it accessible is further dangering my health and is borderline malpractice. I am new to the area so didnt know where else to go but if you know better I would recommend to stay away.

My name is not Nick, I am not sure how to change that here, however I came into the emergency room way back in 2012. I had an iud lodged in my cervix. They refused to remove it due to "religious reasons" and then kept me in the ER for 6 hours. Cost me over 4000 dollars. Im a college student so bills like this are impossible for me to pay. I did the financial help paperwork and they took off a measly 600 dollars stating they think I can pay for this bill with the amount of financial aid I get for school. Absolutely ridiculous. Also, the doctors were extremely condescending and rude. Stay away from this place.

Went in for mental health issues and asked for Tylenol for a headache at one point. When the doctor brought me my discharge papers I mentioned that I never received tylenol, and his very unprofessional response was "well, Im sorry, we had some people who forgot how to breathe tonight." Like I said, not very professional for a doctor to treat mental health problems that way or to invalidate a patient like that. This hospital is terrible all around.

Emergency visit for a laceration to this hospital in Dec 2013 cost me over $2000 dollars for 2 stitches in finger. So I was certainly surprised to get a bill from the Dr Shareaf Walid for over $1332 for those same 2 stitches. Insurance didnt pay the doctor because they said his charges were way too high. I think this is ridiculous. I could have bought plane ticket and flown home to get stitches for less than that. Never using this hospital again.

Waiting at the emergency room part is god awful. Talking to an 85 year old woman that is about to leave because she has waited so long. They told us housekeeping was cleaning a few rooms. That was over an hour and a half ago. Emergency means asap not sit in the loby all night.

Pointless! Wish I could give zero stars. Took my wife into the ER with a 10 day migraine and all they were comfortable giving her was the very same oral medication shes been taking at home. If that worked, we wouldnt have come to the ER at 10 pm. Pointless.

Excellent treatment by a knowledgeable, efficient, and compassionate staff in the emergency room. My nurse, Patty, was exceptional. Upon being admitted, the excellent care continued. The experience at this hospital was very positive.

Worse communication & competency Ive ever encountered. No communication btw nurses. No one calls when patient has a stroke in the middle of night, & "forgot" to tell us the next day after bring there 8 hours with patient.
