Friendly staff, nurses and doctors but man oh man do you have to wait a long time before you can be seen. I went in for a viral infection (like everyone else) in early March, waited in the waiting room for over an hour and then waited in the patient room for another hour after being seen by the initial nurse. My husband went in a couple days ago for back pain and waited a collective 3+ hours between the waiting and patient rooms. I understand it is a system that non-medical field individuals probably dont totally understand, but the last thing anyone wants when theyre miserable and sick is to sit and wait for hours on end among other miserable and sick people. Love this office, its convenient, clean and open earlier/later than most, but they need to staff another physician or PA if possible.

While part of the problem is the War on Drugs, there are serious consequences for those of us with acute pain and injury (broken bone determined by xray) and getting nothing stronger than a recommendation to take ibuprofen, which I had been doing prior to coming in with no results. There also appears to be a strong bias against those who come in for treatment for injuries sustained in a domestic violence situation. As for the family practice side, you are looking at a minimum of a month to get in, even for an acute illness, and you will almost never get the doctor you were scheduled with. Wait times are extremely longs, especially considering there are almost never more than 2 to 3 patients present anywhere in the clinic at a given time. Pediatric care is subpar at best.

Went to Mercy South urgent care last night in a pinch, its very close to my house and I was too sick to drive anywhere else. After 2 hours of waiting once in a room, they ran several tests, yet still couldnt tell me what was wrong with me. Just that its bacterial and my white cell count is low. Lets just say I was less than pleased with the care. Then, when I call back today because they did additional tests before I left, but never said what they were for, I waited on hold for 22 minutes only to be told they would take my number and call me back, nip timeframe, completely rude and unwilling to help me. Never have I encountered a more incompetent bunch of assholes in my 38 years. Ill stick to Unity Point, where they are compassionate, efficient, capable and professional.

If you are ever able to get through the voicemails and being on hold and actually see a provider here, its not a bad clinic. But their customer service is terrible. If you leave a message with a nurse or another mailbox (cannot give specifics because as soon as the front desk realized the person I needed wasnt in the office yet and they could get me off of the phone quickly, they immediately said PLEASE HOLD and next thing I knew I had a voicemail recording) - you may never hear back. I actually left two messages for one of the nurses and eventually just DROVE TO THE CLINIC to talk to someone. Front desk staff act as if its my fault they are busy. With the many choices in healthcare, perhaps they should remember who provides them with a paycheck.

Terrible place. Currently takes months to get an appointment, as an existing patient with regularly scheduled needs. When you do have an appointment, the wait times to get in the room and once in the room are longer than the normal waits one expects. Took month and a half to get simple lab results, calling them over and over, prescription pending. Takes weeks or months to get a simple prescription refill. Doctors dont draw conclusions between conditions and results and symptoms, you know, fancy doctoring. My wife diagnosed herself while waiting on these people. Moved to a new provider in the last week. Already had an appointment, got prescription refilled, daughter already had a visit, and wife and son soon. Glad we moved.

I love my doctor, he is wonderful as is his nurse. Problem it can take 3 MONTHS to get into see him. They do not return refill requests unless you happen to luck out and actually talk to the nurse. Ive tried to find another doc but UGH. Now for their urgent care it can take 2 HOURS just to get checked in, they move slower than a slug in maple syrup in January. Avoid this UC at all costs you can sit there for 3 hours to spend 2 seconds with a provider and not get your issue attended too. Mercy Billing is actually less functional than Congress. Switching over to Unity Point isnt easy either because Mercy are jerks about transferring medical records.

Literally the worst establishment. Mercy south had an amazing reputation when I was with Dr. Brown way back when but ever since then it takes almost 2 weeks to get perscriptions refilled and a hassle to get them done if they run out. The receptionist are completely rude and are only there for a check. Most of them need to take time out of their day and attend classes on how to treat patient and not talk to them as if they are illiterate fools. Making sure my entire family and more are moved away from this facility. Get better staff and learn how to take care of medication that literally can mean life or death for a person.

We like one doctor in particular. If he would please move to a better clinic. It doesnt matter if you schedule a month in advance. If they havent forgotten your appointment, you are GUARANTEED to wait for an hour before you are seen. With three kids, we have been here often enough to establish a pattern. Whether you walk in unannounced, or schedule in advance, you will wait in the lobby for an hour. They are also unresponsive to prescription refill fax requests. Its just the one doctor that keeps us coming back. If I told you who it was, his schedule would fill up even more.

Mercy South has the worst customer service, they are always rude, not to mention if you get an appt its never with our doctor, not to mention they cancel appts that were made in 45 days advance than tell me they cant get her in before school. this is the worse doctors office I have ever been to. I have now removed my kids from mercy south and moved them to mercy east, where the service at mercy east is 100% better, they actually care about us.

Slowest urgent care Ive ever been to and the doctors do anything to get you out immediately. There are times when I have no choice but to come here and everytime I prove myself more right. Got here at 430 and probably wont be seen until 6 and thats if the doctor comes in right away (they take you to the room and the doctor doesnt come in for 30-45 minutes.

Terrible terrible service - I scheduled an appointment and showed up 15 minutes early and still ended up waiting well over an hour past my appointment time to be seen. Whats even worse is that I was not even warned there would be any wait time at all. I will NEVER be coming back. You would be better off going somewhere else and going to urgent care.

You call the office and are on hold for very long amounts of time but when youre in the office everyones sitting behind their desk chit chatting. Theres one nice receptionist and the rest and rude. The office is poorly managed-
