I went for a contacts fitting. First off, there was a lot of confusion over my insurance provider. My companys vision plan is through MetLife, and their website says that no insurance card is necessary; in fact, Ive never received an insurance card for the vision plan. There was a lot of confusion over this and it took a long time for Dr. Bernettas office staff to find my insurance info. They kept saying that MetLife was not an insurance company. On top of this, Dr. Bernetta did not have a pleasant bedside manner. She was condescending while she was chatting with me and when she was describing care of contact lenses. She dilated my eyes using eyedrops, which I understand is a standard part of the exam, but was not very informative before or after putting the eyedrops in about what she was doing or how it would affect the rest of my day. At the end of the appointment, I was given a test pair of contacts and was told I would be charged for them if I did not return the following week for the follow-up appointment. I asked if I could have the prescription so I could order my contacts elsewhere, but was told I could not have it until after the follow-up appointment, where theyd already have a set of contacts ordered for me that Id feel pressure to buy from them. Besides, the test contacts were uncomfortable and blurry. I did not want to subject myself to more visits to this office, so I never returned. Each of these things individually I could have overlooked, but combined it made for a really unpleasant experience, and Id rather redo the appointment at another optometrist and pay out of pocket than return to Dr. Bernetta.

Dr. Davis is very knowledgeable of her work and the best at what she practice. Ive been a patient on and off for almost 25 years (including my mother who has been going much longer). When I decided to go to other doctors, my experiences with improving my vision were not the same; in comparison to Dr.Davis. In essence, I would strongly recommend her.

The staff is very nice and friendly. Dr. Davis is very personable and really takes time to listen and talk with you about your care. Nice small family feel office.

I had to come into the office 4 times just to get an order of contact lenses. Ive been wearing them for years and it really should not have taken them that long.
