HORRIBLE! I think there are some deceptive business practices going on here...Bought a pair of plastic frames with progressive bifocals, with Transition (darkening feature). Pretty standard order. Received them within a week, which seemed pretty reasonable. Anyway, a few days later, I noticed tiny cracks in the lenses, so I called them to let them know i was bringing them back. i also asked what might be the cause of the cracks, and they apparently happen sometimes when trying to fit the lenses into the frames..?.. Anyway, they sent the glasses off to be fixed. They did let me know there would be no charge (duh) since its a problem on the manufacturers end. I got the glasses back a week later, wore them for a day or 2, and the SAME thing happened AGAIN!! This time, worse. I called again, to let them know what happened, and again they said to bring them back and they would fix them. i asked again why these cracks were happening, wondering if maybe the frames didnt fit me properly or something (since, btw, they dont fit you or anything) you just pick out a pair of frames and they start writing you up. Im also fairly certain they use the exact frames that are on the wall, being tried on by everyone, but am not totally sure. Anyway, when I called this time, the girl put me on hold to ask the Doctor what might be causing these cracks, and came back on the phone with the following response, from the Doctor " Maybe its due to the cold temperatures" since it WAS winter....SERIOUSLY?? Anyway, I returned the glasses again, this time they marked the cracks with a marker to point them out to the lab (although they were QUITE obvious..) This time it took 2 weeks to get the call to come pick them up...(It had been more than a month since my initial purchase, btw) but I just wanted and needed my glasses. Picked them up on Feb. 23rd, wore them for 4 hours, and to my UTTER DISBELIEF, those damn things got the cracks AGAIN!!! I was just DONE at this point. ABSOLUTELY ABSURD that this was happening a 3rd time. So, my husband took the glasses back the next morning, since I was extremely busy at work, along with the credit card i used to purchase said glasses, so I could just get my money back. This is when my husband was informed that they DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS???? for a DEFECTIVE PRODUCT??? They told him they would just have to keep sending them back until they got it right?? This seems strange to me, on a few levels...like, are they charging the insurance company everytime, so like, are they getting paid over and over?? I dont know, but I DO KNOW that if you buy a product and its FAULTY, you are entitled to a refund, especially after 3 times trying to get it right. Im not sure exactly HOW MANY TIMES they expected me to keep returning the glasses, or how I was supposed to see with no glasses for over a month, but I think 3 times is enough...or 3 strikes and youre out, as the saying goes. My husband had a lengthy, heated exchange with the Doctor, since she was refusing to give me a refund, and somehow wound up on the phone with my insurance company. ONLY after he spoke to the insurance people, did she FINALLY agree to refund my money...was it something they said?? Obviously. The whole thing seems pretty shady, but long story sort of short, i finally got my refund, but now have to go get glasses elsewhere. The only good thing about this experience is that I got my eye exam done somewhere else, because, after reading several reviews, Im wondering if they wouldve even gotten my prescription right. ALSO, I learned that I am not the only person whos had a less than spectacular experience. I should have done my footwork before going there, i could have saved a lot of time and headache, but didnt think it would be a problem to get a simple pair of glasses. I WAS WRONG....also, a few people have given 5 star reviews, but no comments, so I wonder if theyre real reviews, or maybe just friends of the the Doctor. A few people reviewed and commented on what a great selection of frames they have... seems very limited to me...NEVER GO HERE!

Let me start by saying everyone was friendly, but that was the only positive. My insurance has a ten dollar co-pay for an eye exam. It had been a couple years since I had my eyes checked and wanted to know if my prescription changed so I figured hey, ten bucks to check my eyes thats alright. So I give them my information to set the appointment, then three more times in the office with redundant paperwork. The friendly assistant does preliminary tests and sets me in the exam room. Dr. Mezu was again very friendly when she checked my eyes. She then says she wants to take pictures of my eyes but gives no reason other than this is standard procedure. So then I go in for the photographs with the assistant. While checking out I ask for my prescription and am sure to ask for my pupil distance as well, the assistant talks with Dr. Mezu then returns to say that for "liability reasons" I have to pay 59 dollars for my pupil distance... what? I have never heard of an eye doctor charging you to tell you your prescription (on top of paying for an eye exam isnt that what the eye exam is for?). I say okay because I just wanted to get out of there. At this point, there is no way Im buying glasses here. It was here I discovered that I would also be charged another 49 dollars for those supposed standard procedure pictures of my eyes, so Im at 120 dollars for just my prescription at this point. But they still try to give me my prescription without my pupil distance, again this wouldnt be a big deal and could be an honest mistake, but you just charged me sixty bucks for it, Im not going to just leave without it. So, the doctor hand-writes in my pupil distance on the prescription sheet. So with my sixty dollar hand written number and my 120 dollar eye exam I finally get out of there. I wonder how much it would have been if I actually got glasses there.

The doctor is irresponsible and unprofessional. Bought a groupon for husband for a comprehensive contact lens exam. You would think"Comprehensive"=contact lens exam + fitting. But apparently the practice does not agree. So, Several things happened: 1. Tried to get contacts for the first time, Doctor refused to give trial lens in the exact prescription (prescribed power and brand) UNLESS we purchase contacts from them. 2.INSTEAD OF making sure the prescription is right, doctor was more concerned about getting us to buy contacts from them. The prescription we were told was different from the one on the paper. Negotiated, finally given the lens of one eye in the prescribed power in a different brand, cant see clearly. Tried to contact them to get the prescription corrected, never heard back from them. We cant trust them. 3. Reluctant to give out prescription unless purchase was made through them. 4. The "prescription" did not even have the doctors signature. The receptionist was nice. Thats it. A waste of time and money. dont make the same mistake I made. Stay away from this place.
