Checked in online at 10am my appointment time was for 12:47pm. I arrived 20 mins early to be told that I couldnt check on because Im late. The staff at the front desk ask for my insurance card and id, gave me some paperwork to fill out. According to the monitor I was the first person to be seen. 4 people who checked in after me where called before me. My wait time went from 15 to 32 min to 1 hour 43mins to 1 hour 63 mins. The staff at the front desk never verified my insurance in order for me to be seen. What is the point of having an online check in system if your staff isnt following procedures? For all of that I could have just walkes in and waited to be seen. Never again will I return to "Prompt" care at Towson. The staff was nowhere near friendly, the front desk staff does not know how to be professional. Instead of saying excuse me there is paperwork you need to fill out she says "uh uh come back here you got to fill this out". Theres not type of communication, if appointments were pushed back that should have been stated at check in that they are behind and instead of waiting 15 to 30 mins your wait time is now an hour. I just dont understand how you advertise a service and then allow the staff to do as they please. 4 people checked in after me. Names appeared on the monitor after my name and appointment time and all 4 were seen before me. Each name that was after mine was seen before me pushing me back a whole hour and a half after my scheduled online appointment!

The people here are very nice however Ive been 3 times in the last 2 years and found the wait times can often be LOOOOOOOOONG. In fact, one time the doctor apologized because my folder was displaced and they "forgot" I was there. Their billing is also dysfunctional (more so than most medical places which should say a lot!!!). I regularly get bills 3 months after a visit. During my last test they performed a flu test on me. 3 weeks after my visit someone called to say they forgot to call me and let me know my flu was negative. . . THANKS!!! I hope they dont think I was waiting for 3 weeks to find out if I had the flu! This was a 3 month billing cycle as well! The time before that was when I was stuck in the exam room for an hour without attention. The doctor told me I had a simple cold and to eat chicken soup, etc. A remedy I am not apposed to however I dont like that 2 months (!!!!!!) after my visit I received a bill for $300. . . that was an expensive bowl of chicken soup! The staff are extremely nice- that is all I can say.

I have to say I cant comment on the care - I got stopped at the front desk! I stopped in without my paper insurance card but wasnt concerned because I have it on an app that Cigna provides. Ive used the app more than once in a variety of offices, because they have a number of options. they can take a photocopy of my phone, or from the app I can send a copy to a fax machine or to an email address. again Ive done all 3 successfully so I know they work. but medstar can only handle a physical card. honestly, I also think that Conga provides an electronic system that proves can use to verify my coverage - thats what they use to ensure that the card you give them is legit - so I think they only want a copy to keep in their file so they can look back to it if they need to. anyway, it was easy for me to make a different choice and hopefully this much friendly urgent care Im sitting in now (no problem with the card here - I emailed it) turns out to be up on current technology in other ways too.

This was the best experience ever dealing with Urgent Care ,from the time walking in to leaving.I was first greeted by Ki Sina, with a smile and empathy for she could see I was having pain.brought paperwork to me and explained the process. Then the next wonderful person was Jessica,NCMA,who did the triage, then Shenea,CMA,the medical assistant, these ladies were respectful and attended to my needs in prompt way, really nice staff. Then there was DR.Donaldson, who right off knew what was going on with me,explained in simple terms problem and solutions, but immediately responding to my pain to make me comfortable.I was in and out about half hour or more, did not seem forever like other places I have gone too.I will highly recommend this site for care, the staff there is wonderful with excellent customer care.I appreciate you ladies for the care you provided me today.

Go Somewhere Else! We live in New Orleans and had to choose an Urgent Care from the net. My daughter told the female doctor (I wish she could remember her name) that she has a history of sinus infections (dripping at the back of her throat, headache, sinus pressure, fever, chills..) that are usually successfully treated with antibiotics and a shot. She gets them about 4 or 5 times a year. The doctor ignored what she was told about her history. She was given a pregnancy test and tested for mono, strep, flue, blood sugar, and a uti. Im sure Ill get a big bill for all these tests.... none of which had anything to do with her sinus infection. She went home feeling horrible with no meds. I tried to get her to go to a different Urgent Care, but she was too sick and exhausted to try to navigate an unknown city. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Nothing prompt about it. Boasts on the website x-rays on site , after waiting over an hour to be registered I was told they dont do x-rays. Waited over 2 hours total to be seen. Oh and I was there when the doors opened at 8. Another patient was seen before me because he called ahead. I asked the receptionist if he called the night before. You can guess the answer, he called that morning probably while I was sitting in the waiting room. This place is terrible! Save yourself the aggravation and go some place else.

Not usually a review person but was seen here a few months ago for a very personal issue. The staff was very attentive, kind, and supportive. Hell, the doctor gave me a hug. She made me feel very relaxed and showed genuine concern for my situation. Needless to say, everything worked out fine but definitely recommended to family and friends in the area. Also was completely empty so wait time wasnt a factor. If it were between the ER up the street or Medstar down the road Im definitely choosing Medstar.

I only came in for a prescription and Ive been sitting in a room waiting for a doctor for 2 hours now. I left out an hour ago to get a refund only to be told I only had one more patient ahead of me. Well here I am an hour after that and Im still being told I only have one more patient ahead of me. Really?? Dont waste your time coming here like I did. Take the trip up the street to the Patient First!

As a father of 3 young children I have had to make frequent trips toUrgent Cares in Baltimore and other parts of the country. I can say without exaggeration that MedStar PromptCare is the cleanest, fastest, and most professional facility of its kind Ive gone to. All of that AND everyone was very friendly at 3pm on a Sunday. Thanks!
