Ive been unwillingly dealing with this hospital for over two decades. While Ive had a couple of mediocre experiences, I can honestly say that this is the worse hospital that Ive experienced thus far in MARYLAND! I can write a book on things that have happened to many other patients as well as myself. ( And I think I will)! Poor services, disrespectful attitudes, inhumane treatment, etc.... And what you really need to watch out for are sexual predators within its staff, INCLUDING PHYSICIANS!! If youre a female, NEVER BE LEFT ALONE WITH ANY MALE EMPLOYEE FOR ANY REASON: Especially if youre medicated!! Keep an eye on ANY family member admitted. Never go to the ER alone if you have a serious condition. If youre not strong enough to speak up, youre in trouble. But if you speak too much, they might just hold your meds to punish you AND THEYLL TELL YOU! If you catch the ER on a night of hospitalists, youll make it through. Dr Brown is one of a very few respectful regular Er doctors, But getting a good doctor doesnt always mean youll get a good nurse. They have a few amazing nurses in ER and on the floors, but most are nasty. Due to poor organization, even the good ones look bad for things such as taking over two hours to respond to your call light. Many times, Ive gone into this hospital with one problem and had more severe problems created due to their mistakes. For example, my port catheter of almost 10 yrs at that time becoming infected because NO ONE would care for my dressing after pleading for 3 weeks straight. I had to call several people and got nowhere until I found the surgeon who placed it. (A wonderful surgeon whos no longer there, sorry). Also, not being able to walk well, stand, or even wear regular shoes due to a triple loop lumen being inserted into a nerve instead of a vein by Dr. Johnson(Also no longer there). I wasnt alert and the nurses fed the IV for days without checking the site and noticing the severe damage that it was causing. They werent even washing me to have noticed! Id been admitted for Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome, and ended up being sent to a nursing home to begin 6 months of rehabilitation to walk again. (Thank God I didnt need 6 months)! And Id stop counting how many times I was forced to chill with a deceased roommate OR EVEN HIT MY CALL BUTTON TO LET THEM KNOW THAT MY ROOMMATE HAD PASSED! Please dont judge from my review, but dont take the advice of a one or two time visitor either. Nor the advice of an employee or his/her family member. Please use this information, along with others, as a possible guide for your expectations if you decide to willingly visit this hospital. TAKE IT AS A WARNING if nothing else. Sorry for the book, but I did spare a bit for you. Actually, I spared a lot!! Best Wishes.

Dislocated knee and the left me in the hall in a chair.I had to get wheelchair on my own and wheel myself to get registered and I came through ambulance. They didnt help me into bed. They left me by myself knowing I cant walk. I fall on the floor, called nurse and no one came. They didnt help me get in and out of bed to get in the wheelchair. They also told me to change clothes and didnt close the curtain. When I ask for help because I cant walk on other leg . I was told they couldnt help me at all. I had to get up transporter to get up. I was in a lot pain they gave me motrin and it didnt work. They told me it will be OK. The didnt even help me change back in clothes knowing my cant move my leg and didnt help me escort the hospital... Is the most terrible hospital and this was my first time there.

I was a self admit. I have NEVER had such poor treatment by unprofessional, RUDE, children they hired as staff anywhere else. Instead of caring for patients, they are sitting on their PHONES screwing around. They didnt watch patients when they let them go in the LOCKED snack room, resulting in the ONLY FOOD I could eat my mom, who is on food stamps, brought me. I mentioned my specific diet to them SEVERAL TIMES, as well as my mom and boyfriend telling the staff. The food they served was just under pig slop!!! It was NOT healthy and barely anything I could eat! Then, ALL of the food my mom brought me, STOLEN by other patients. I would rather die than EVER returning to this stinky, un-clean HELL HOLE ever again!!!!!!!!!!! I got out of there as fast as I could!

I have used Bon Secours radiology department and the service was excellent. My wife works there as a nurse in the ER. She has worked in hospitals all over the world having trained in Edinburgh Royal University hospital many years ago. If you are fortunate enough to have her as your nurse you will have no complaints, and you will receive the best possible care you could ever hope for. Her knowledge surpasses that of most doctors and she has saved many lives in the course of her career. Unfortunately many of her fellow nurses do not have the skills that she possesses,, so I can understand the low ratings that people have given. Michael Jarrett Ph. D.

This hospital needs to be closed down. It smells very bad, worse than a nursing home. The nurses are very evil and rude. Every hosptial Ive been to has always been cold to keep the germs away this hopital is always hot. Also on almost every floor there is a pipe leaking. The bathrooms smell like a farm, The cafeteria food probably taste worse than prison food. Very unprofessional staff and Hospital. It needs to be closed until someone with some money and invest in a better building and staff.

I was released after being given a sedative. I had no phone and no money and no one to pick me up. I am new to the area and no one helped me find a way home or cared if I made it home. It was a 95 degree day and I was already dehydrated and ready to faint. Fortunately a security guard at UMB saw me wandering around in a daze and was so worried that she called an uber for me. This hospital is awful. I cant believe they are allowed to operate.

My father was taken to this hospital (NOT BY CHOICE) by ambulance and it was the most horrible experience of our life. There was neglect, rudeness, unsanitary behavior by drs., I mean it was like nothing I have ever seen before in my life. This place almost KILLED my dad! Thank GOD we got him moved(it wasnt an easy process) But Thank GOD!!!! I wouldnt take my dog here:(

Took my boyfriend here and they said he had a virus. Didnt do any test or blood work to know. Gave him a pill and told him to stop over doing it with his anxiety. Had back pain all the doctor say was well you know how men are. Then left him in there. I never want him to go back here. Hes still in pain. More pain then he was when he was there.
