I feel like my pets have suffered because of the poor quality of care they provide. One of my dogs bladder was blocked, when they used a catheter they ruptured her bladder so she had to be put down. Another dog they treated for mange, said she had yeasty skin and the whole time her kidneys were failing so had to put her down. After months of suffering. And my last and final story of this place my dog was sick did a blood test treated him for everything but and blood work clearly stated after I asked to see it that he had pancreatic issue. By then he was so sick I took him to Rocky Gorge where I had to put him to sleep. So please if you love your pets dont go here.

My dog had a surgery there on 7/12/17, a supposedly minor procedure. Next day I noticed that sutures on the incision are placed too far apart, edges of the wound are not lined together and tissue protrude out through the incision. Since the doctor who did the surgery did not follow up, I took my dog to the hospital again where another doctor, not wearing gloves while touching my dog’s wound, assured me that he is going to be just fine. In a couple of days the wound got infected and I had to take him to the emergency room in another hospital. They treated him and closed up his wound with more staples. I hope he’ll be okay.

Ive been taking my dog there to be groomed, when i first met the young lady that would be grooming my dog i was thrown off a bit.She had peircings all over her face, didnt look like the type to work in a animal hospital..i was suprised to find out how friendly she was and she did an amazing job on my baby! And they didnt charge as much as a petsmart would or a prof. groomer would either..And the techs are simply wonderful, atleast the two i see most of, I believe their names are Alana and Rachel, or something close to that, their wonderful.I will continue bringing my dog there for the wonderful care that they give..

I had been going there for fifteen years. My dog suffered a stroke and was seizuring on a Saturday. We mistakenly thought we had a relationship with that place. The front desk people in our hour of distress and need wanted to send us out to strangers. We were told to take her to an emergency hospital.Would not make an accommodation. We found another hospital locally ourselves and they treated us kindly. The following day we took her elsewhere and put her down. The front desk stinks and we wont be going back. .

As owners of dogs, our pets medical needs have always been met with care at the Beltsville Veterinary Hospital. All of the vets and staff show a great love and concern for the animals they serve. Most recently, we have requested (and obtained) the services of Dr. Pfieffer when making an appointment. His concern for the welfare of our (big) dogs is obvious. The office provides a friendly atmosphere with knowledgeable vets and techs that, as a pet lover, I recommend

Walked into the vet office to pick up meds for a familys pet. No hello, hi, or anyword Was standing around never been here before. Was not acknowleded or anything untill i was face to face with one the recepionist and was told to sign in. Didnt even ask why i was there. My visit was for a family member to pick up already paid for meds. Again no acknowledgement when im standing at the desk. Good thing i dont bring my pets here.

They have very friendly caring staff and doctors, my baby was in so much pain and they pampered him and took care of him like family! I truly appreciate how they took care of us, very accommodating to our special needs as our dog was unable to walk in on his own and needed to be gently carried with his bed and he is a 50 pound dog! Thanks Beltsville veterinary staff!!

We switched from our former Vet to Beltsville Veterinary Hospital with our very first visit. Drs. Fink and Prowell are wonderful and knowledgable, and have literally saved the lives of more than one of our animals. Five stars to these two amazing women, though the desk staff would have earned no more than two stars.

We have been bringing our dog and two cats here since 2010. We have had 3 vets (one retired, one moved) but otherwise, we have had a wonderful experience. The front staff, especially Debbie, have all been exceptionally warm and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend this veterinary clinic.
