I have had a very negative experience with Chesapeake Family Wellness and found Dr. Cloquitt’s staff to be unresponsive and unprofessional. I am young and healthy person and I have been getting an occasional adjustment from another chiropractor for years. Being relatively new to the area, I went into this clinic a few months ago for an initial visit after seeing their advertisement for a free exam and consultation. I was pretty underwhelmed by the whole experience. The facility itself looked a bit outdated and little bit difficult to find in my opinion. Having had x-rays taken recently at another facility, I brought these with me for the chiropractic to review (this will become an important fact later). Dr. Cloquitt spent a few minutes with me and for what it is worth; he seemed like a nice guy. I think I went in mid-week and as I was leaving the receptionist, Jackie, asked when I wanted my next appointment. I said maybe next Monday. She asked me if I wanted to wait that long and I found her “suggestion” to be a little high-pressure for my taste. Needless to say, I will never go to this clinic again. A few weeks after my first visit, I received an invoice for over $400 dollars. My insurance company was billed for x-rays that were not taken at this office and for a consultation that (as advertised on their website should have been free for a new patient like me). Jackie provided me with blatantly incorrect information regarding this issue and I felt that she failed to respond to my questions in a direct and meaningful way. A few days ago, I received a letter from these folks telling me to pay them in 15 days or they will send me to collections. And again, when contacting Jackie again for a timely resolution to this matter she told me that my case was refereed to their “Executive Director”. Give me a break! This doctor incorrectly billed my insurance for services not rendered in his office and is not honoring an advertised special. I understand that businesses sometimes make mistakes but this situation has only been aggravated by the poor customer service they have provided. I have already reported this billing discrepancy to my insurance company and will be filing formal complaints against this office with the appropriate regulatory authorities. I would not recommend Dr. Colquitt to anyone.

I cannot begin to describe how my time at CFW has changed my life. When I walked into "Docs" office, I was skeptical about whether or not anything could be done to improve my situation. I was in so much pain, I could not sit for more than 10 minutes at a time. It hurt to stand, lay down, I even was suffering from severe insomnia because of the pain I experienced at night. I had gone through several rounds of physical therapy, cortisone shots, rest, orthopedic visits, and homeopathic remedies. Nothing worked...so I went in thinking I have nothing to lose. Although I still have minimal pain, I feel like Im almost back to normal and I know that its because of the treatment I received there at CFW. They are concerned, knowledgeable and a lot of fun! Theyve help me develop strategies that help me live with an injured spine while significantly helping me to repair the damage Id done to my back over many years. Dr. Colquitt has made me a believer in chiropractic care! I was in crippling pain when I started seeing him. After a few sessions (and much needed adjustments), I felt a tremendous amount of relief and could actually move again. My posture improved markedly, as did my pain level. I had never seen a chiropractor before Dr. Colquitt but I am incredibly glad I gave chiropractic care a chance. He has all the great modalities - ultrasound, stimulation therapy, traction - and I always feel 100% better after his adjustments. He is kind and incredibly attentive, and really seems to love his work. His staff is fantastic too. They actually care about your well being and improvement and make your treatments go by much more quickly. The office is run like a well oiled machine. I never had any issues with billing or scheduling and I never waited more than a few minutes to be taken back for treatment. Absolutely amazing doctor and staff!

My son came in to the practice over a year ago with chronic pain in the back and leg from years of playing travel soccer. This was apparently something he had been dealing with for some time. Ive had past successes with chiropractic care and wanted to see what could be done for him. Doctor Colquitt immediately recognized the nature of his condition and was able to administer treatment to him. My son felt improvements after his very first visit. Everyone on staff is great to work (Doc, Zach, Jason, Terri, and Jackie). Theyve taken great care of my son and other members of my family as well. I highly recommend their practice to anyone looking for quality chiropractic care. John Salmans

Hello, I have been to other chiropractors and the pain usually comes back. When I came to Dr. Colquitt he explained by reviewing my x-rays he explained to me and showing me on my x-rays that I no longer had a curve in my neck. And thats why my neck pain and headaches wasnt staying away. Now, after getting adjustments and traction tje pain has not returned. Dr.Colquitt and his staff have treat me and not my pocketbook and my insurance coverage. How refreshing. Dont make the mistake I made, go to Dr.Colquitt first and you wont be disappointed.

I have been coming to see Dr. Colquitt on and off for some time now. I always feel refreshed when I leave and better than the previous visit. He and his staff are very courtesy and make me feel appreciated. His assistant Jackie Ridge always keeps me on track with my appointments and makes rescheduling a breeze when it is necessary. I cant say enough about this practice and its staff. I highly recommend anyone to come in and receive not only the care they need but the care they deserve.

When I first came to Dr. Colquitts I was in severe pain from my neck down to knees. Ive had chronic migraines, knee pain, and lower back pain for most of my adult life. I went from never being allowed to run (according to several doctors) since I was 15 finishing a 1/2 marathon in September! I rarely have migraines anymore and my knees almost never give me any trouble. Thank you so much Doc! You gave me my life back!

I had never been to a chiropractor before Dr. Colquitt, and frankly was nervous amd skeptical with the idea of adjustments. Ive struggled with lower back pain for a number of years, and within a few visits the improvement was remarkable. The staff, including Jackie, Zach, and Jason make visits super enjoyable. They work hard to make their office warm and inviting. I always enjoy my visit and feel its time well spent.

Ive been going to the Chesapeake Family Wellness center for about 4 years now, and although progress was slow at first, they never gave up! Before I started, I literally couldnt feed our animals without getting down on my hands and knees - now Im happy to say that I can go weeks without feeling any discomfort in my back at all, and am on infrequent maintenance visits. Thanks!
