I absolutely love this office. And for me, with a previous history of dental trauma, to say that - is golden. To see some of these reviews... it is truly shocking to me. How people can give this office anything less than 5 stars is completely beyond me. I have been a patient both in the Urbana, and Frederick office for years now, and I absolutely love them. The staff is kind and courteous and excellent at going over your insurance benefits, and out of pocket costs before the procedures are done. The doctor (I primarily see Dr Kopits husband, Dr Pesin) is gentle, honest, effective, and has a great sense of humor. I see reviews about being "sold" on things...I have never been "sold" there on anything, ever. In fact I have gone in twice for the same sensitive tooth, thinking it certainly must need some work - to be told twice, that the tooth and the root are perfectly fine, and the I just need to use toothpaste for sensitive teeth. If anyone wanted to rip someone off, that would have been a great time - but instead I got the same honesty and quality care that Ive always received with them. Ive been using sensitive toothpaste for a few months now, and just like Dr Pesin said it would be, the sensitivity is gone. I actually GO to my 6 month routine appointments (this is unheard of for me) and have actually left there after a root canal with a smile on my face (unheard of for anyone right?) Their equipment is state of the art and they are always keeping up with the newest and greatest ways to treat their patients. The entire office has an awesome atmosphere. I always leave feeling like Ive gotten the best possible care available. And I wouldnt refer anyone to anybody else. They are as good as it gets!!! :)

I wouldnt even give them 1 star. After my dentist decided to withdraw from my insurance, my husband an I decided to go to the same dentist since his didnt take any insurances. We thought it crazy to pay for cleanings that are supposed to be covered. We decided to try Kopit since it was close to home and decent flexible hours. WHAT A MISTAKE! My experience was as though I was in a retail store being sold things left and right. My cleaning was very fast and didnt feel as thorough as my previous dentist. Kopit tried to sell my on her other services. My husband didnt even get a cleaning because she claimed he needed $1500 worth of work (his cost after insurance) for it to be worth cleaning. Kopit claimed she would even be scratching the surface if he didnt decide to do this work. He has seen the same dentist since he was 4 yrs old and his biggest issues was sensitive gums and brushing too hard. This man has perfect gums, teeth and never a cavity in all his years nor any major work. I am disgusted with their business. they are high tech in the office except for customer service. I guess they need to pay for that technology. Their office manager needs to take courses in customer relations.

The financial staff at Kopit Dental are a bunch of scam artists. First off, they charge you ahead of time - before running things through insurance - and guess at what the coverage "might" be. Also, look very carefully at your receipts and your insurance companys Explanation of Benefits, because they will refuse to run things through your insurance because they know the insurance company wont cover it. I had to fight tooth and nail to get them to run something through insurance and then my insurance company came back and said it was a denied claim and Kopit should never have made me pay out of pocket for it. Now that I am asking for a refund they are giving me the run-around and trying to quote past bills and how they applied the credit toward something else, which is complete B.S. They just want me to get tired of dealing with the matter and give up so they can keep my hard-earned-money. I have dental insurance for a reason - RUN EVERYTHING YOU DO THROUGH MY INSURANCE BEFORE YOU MAKE ME PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR IT. Scam artists. Scam artists. Scam artists. BEWARE.

I went to Kopit for a cleaning on a new patient special for $99 (cleaning & xRays) the lady who cleaned my teeth kept mentioning all these things she wanted to do, but would never mention the fact every little thing would cost additional money.. They are very slick to suggest & not mention $$.. So I get to the front desk to pay & it comes out to way more than what it should have been.. Im not one to argue so I paid it unhappy. I asked the girl at the front desk if I could have a copy of the X-rays I purchased with this new patient special. She told me she could email it, so I get an email later on that day saying it would be an additional $50!!!! To get a copy.. NEVER did she mention that at the front desk.. We went back in forth by email she never apologized & was extreamely rude! So I paid $99 for them to take X-rays & keep them.. So unsatisfied with the service.. Kopit Dental: be honest & upfront with your clients, so they return! As for me I will never give them another dime.

I recently transferred my dental care to Kopit Dental Care because of their proximity to my home. I have never had a history of going to the dentist as regularly as is recommended. It has always been easy to put off a visit to the dentist office. That is no longer the case. I have found Dr. Kopit and her partner Dr. Pesin to be extremely professional. They educate the patient prior to treatment.The entire staff is a well trained reflection of the dentists philosophy of treatment. I was experiencing a few dental issues and they quickly determined the cause and fixed the problems at a very reasonable cost The dentist office is not typically a place where most people feel at ease> The entire staff makes me feel at ease from the time that I walk into the practice until I leave> If the rating system is up to five stars< i would give Kopit Dental Care six stars> I"d recommend this practice to anyone in need of professional dental care>

Before we discovered Dr. Kopits practice, our family had another dentist for about 3 years. We occasionally had been exploring other practices in the vicinity of our home but could not find somebody who would satisfy us. About year ago, a friend of us advised to make an appointment with Dr. Kopit. Since that we highly satisfied by our new dentist. Both doctors are very professional willing to identify the best way of tooth treatment; the front desk staff is very pleasant always willing to arrange us convenient time for appointment, and always explain our benefits in detail. Even though we have to drive to their office for about 25 miles, my family members do not want to give up.

I needed to find a dentist after not seeing one for 4 years. I tried Dr. Kopits office because it was close to my house and they had convenient hours. I have to say that all of the office staff were great and made me feel at ease. I needed to have some major stuff done due to neglect and front desk was very helpful explaining to me my insurance benefits. Thanks for a great experience. Highly recommend!
