I went for an eye exam and received a real dud prescription, very different from the one I currently had, that didnt work for my eyes at all. The contacts they gave me were blurry and gave me migraines because of this. I went back, and asked for a new prescription, and so they changed it, but apparently only for contact lenses, not glasses. I didnt know this until ordering glasses later on, and then called to complain that the original prescription, which clearly did not work for me was sent to the optics store where I bought glasses. It would make sense to me, that when I complained about the poor prescription the day after I they wrote it for me, that they would automatically change it for glasses as well contacts. However when I called, they took no ownership for their mistake, told me it was in fact my fault for not reminding them in the first place to change my prescription for glasses, that returning the glasses was between me and the store I bought them at, and if I wanted a new prescription I could come in and pay for it out of pocket. Rarely in my life have I been treated so rudely by a company that would not even admit their mistake, apologize, and try to help, instead they blamed me and asked for more money. I highly recommend trying somewhere else both more competent, and more focused on customer satisfaction.

I have been going to and buying glasses from Bay State Eye in Leominster for almost 7 years. I have gotten new glasses about every other year. They also made custom glasses for me to wear on the motorcycle (needed to fit while using a helmet) and a customer pair for playing golf. No additional charge. Just had them made they way I needed them to be made. Never had a problem with any of the glasses Ive bought from them until this last pair. A new pair of bi focals for every day use and a new pair of progressives for use at work. Something wasnt right when I got them so I called and spoke with Joe. I made an appointment to come back in and the prescription was changed and new glasses ordered. No issues, no drama. I would recommend Bay State Eye in Leominster to anyone.

The eye doctor i saw was very pleasant and did a great job on my exam. When I was being helped to choose a pair of glasses I got the very best attention. Almost all the staff was around to give an opinion. The guy assisting me took his time and didnt make me rush either. I had over 25 frames on the counter trying them on. I ordered my glasses on a Thursday and no lie they were in the following Monday. My 2 teens had appointments yesterday and they were also very happy with the service they received. I cant complain. Only can give many thanks to Bay State Eye.... you guys are great.

This place is a joke when it comes to Customer Service. You would be better off getting your eye exam at McDonalds or Burger King. Yes, I realize neither place examines eyes, hence the comparison. They want to make an easy fast buck and do not actually care about the customers needs. There are many more businesses that both deserve and appreciate your business. This is not one of them.

There facility is clean, the staff is courteous and the appointments are easy to schedule. They are able to send you reminders via text (which I find useful). The doctor is on-time and theyre easy to locate! I will continue to be a patient there for years to come!
