PLEASE READ ASAP as any review I write concerning Bronson seems to disappear immediately. About 4-5 years ago my husband took me to Bronson ER, The room I was given was directly across from the ER desk (where the nurses and Drs hangout). I do have a lot of medical issues Im dealing with. and the Dr, in my room was reading the list of these to confirm with my husband. Unfortunately, I heard the medical staff (a Dr,) outside my door make the statement "Jesus, just die already" followed by a few chuckles. Unfortunately, I was admitted . From being ill for a prolong period of time as well as being in different hospitals, I know what is suppose to happen, a time frame its suppose to happen in....and neglect. Before I was released, I seen the head of nursing, told her I was going to have a investigation done and consult a attorney. At that time , a date was set for me to come in and voice my concerns. Little did I know that at that meeting were going to be a number of people there (sitting at a HUGE round table), including one or two who I believe were attorneys. The statement was made that: 1.what happen in the ER had no bearing on them because the ER was not connected to them, they were a separate unit and 2. If I took them to court and lost I could be sued for tying up the court with a frivulous law suit. I would then be counter sued for everything I owned. Well, their intimidation tactic worked. I was just so tired and sick, I did not have the energy to deal with them again. What is really scary is that Bronson is buying up everything in/and surrounding areas of Battle Creek that has anything to do in regards to health. Consequently, its just a matter of time before Bronson will be a 5-star Health System across the board because people have nothing to compare it to. Heed my warning..if you have to go to ER or are hospitalized, have someone with you..,even overnight. Pay attention when youre suppose to get meds and keep track of IVs. SPEAK UP! you /or your family member may need to remind nurses and/or staff to give meds or IVs (in my case, bring IV in room but never connect it to my arm). Just like a previous comment, I give one star because I could not leave review without it.

First off I cant believe how dirty the hospital is.... the floors are a mess, patients leave trash on tables, floors and chairs.... you would think they would have someone go around cleaning the waiting rooms, every room. The bathrooms are pure disgusting. Paper towels and toilet paper every where, blood on sinks, floors, toilets.... second of all I took my husband there last night because he hurt his back. Hardly anyone in the er waiting room . It took us an hour before we went back, only to have a bed in the hallway because most of the rooms were dirty ( not surprised) my husband had to have a xray on his back. He asked if he could have me go in with him because he felt uncomfortable the lady said absolutely not. "If you were 6 then mabey" which is totally b.s. been in there with him before.... then his nurse couldnt keep distance from him. Hes sitting on the bed this woman was practically standing in between his legs, he kept leaning back to get away from her. Then he was standing up, she came up behind him and started to rub his back and asked if his meds were working. I didnt see her do it but I did see him look at me like something was wrong, he shrugged his shoulders and moved. After ahe walked away he told me what she did.. she looked at my husbands hand saw his wedding ring then kept looking at my hand trying to see if I had a ring... this woman had a wedding ring on her hand but still kept flirting with my husband... I was super pissed. I didnt want to say anything because we were waiting for the Dr to look at his x rays, give him his scripts and get out of there. Trust me If my husband didnt need to wait to get his meds and make sure he didnt severely damage his back I would have been taken to jail.... we went in at 9:30 and finally left at 1:45 am. Not alot of people in the er. We will never go there for anything ever again. We will drive to kalamazoo, I dont care if were bleeding to death.... I dont even want to give 1 star.....

My husband has been here since Wed in the CCU. All of the nurses who have been assigned to him has been AWESOME, except one named Shawnia and The care assistance that he had on Saturday. They wouldnt help him to go to the bathroom. He would push his button and no one would come! He ended up falling down and ripping out his I.V. I was not there for I had to go home and take care of our fur babies. But if I was there. That wouldnt have happened! Plus they were supposed to have his bed alarm on. And they shut it off! Later that evening we were eating dinner and they came to transfer him to a different room they didnt allow him to eat the rest of his dinner. His nurse told him they have to move him now and they dont have time to wait for him to finish. When I came back to the hospital after coming home, and my husband told me he has fallen I pressed the call light to speak to the nurse about it, when she came in and I asked her why no one came in to help him to the bathroom, and why his bed alarm should have been on she could only tell me she was sorry, and busy with other people! She thought that the care assistance was going to help him! I told her that this was a bunch of B.S. that shes lucky he didnt get hurt. She told me she doesnt put up with threats and she had other patients to attend to! Hoping hell receive better care since they moved him to the fifth floor, but Im still going to report her! Not right!

Best advice is if your dying, or having a baby, or anything at all, dont come once the night shift gets in. We were recieving excelent care for my wife who gave birth yesterday the 22nd of september, and every time night shift comes in service stops, if you ask for help, expect about an hour before anyone bothers to show up, then you get the, ok well I cant help you, but let me get someone who can, bullshit. Seems like they dont have enough education to function at thier own jobs, or at the very least find someone who has any brains to do it for them, in a timely manner. This is our second daughter, and we thought the last hospital was bad, this is the worst hospital my wife and I have ever been to, we will drive to kalamazoo with a bullet wound before coming back here. Dont get me wrong, day shift really takes care of what they need to, when they need to, and no sorry excuses and pitiful explenations.
