I am very disappointed with the billing department at McCullough Hyde. I received a bill in January of this year (2014) from services in August of 2012. First of all, it takes that long to send a bill? They must be really backed up. In March of this year (2014) I called their department to pay off a balance of another bill and specifically asked if there were any other pending charges on my account and I was told NO. Well, this week, (May 2014), I received "A formal demand for payment in full" from their collections agency. I first called McCullough-Hyde and was informed that there was nothing they could do for me anymore since they had already sent the bill over to collections. I didnt even receive an apology. I then proceeded to call the collections agency (Finance System) to see what I could do regarding a payment plan. Thats out of the question. I could make payments but needed to pay my balance in full by mid June or else this would be on my credit report. So, I get two weeks? Thank you McCullough-Hyde for the not so great experience and adding stress to my life that could have been much avoided. I suggest you look into another billing system (one that doesnt wait a year and a half to send out a bill) and be sure your employees are trained on how to inform your patients of correct information when they contact the hospital regarding outstanding bills.

I just wanted to take a quick few minutes and explain how dissatisfied I am with the ER. First I would like to say I understand that people need to be seen by the severity of their issues. With that being said I brought my 2 year old son in to the ER 6/11 for a laceration on his face. It didnt take long to get back to the room. The doctor came in said that the wound needed to be glued THREE HOURS LATER the procedure was done! My issue is this many many people came and went while I was there other patients were asking "oh my why are you still here". Also its does not take a genius to know that after awhile a wound will dry up and attempt to heal especially after THREE HOURS! My son had to be put through pain all over again! AGAIN he is 2 and now probably scarred due to this waiting and re-opening. So was it even worth it? After he was cleaned and glued his nose was still poring blood. This makes about 4 hours from initial injury. When I questioned this I was told it was normal well for a mother I dont feel its normal! I try to be a patient and understanding person but only after I lost my cool and began to get angry did someone finally say HEY we should help this baby! I began to feel I was just a cautious mother overreacting until other patients were becoming concerned and stating he is a baby he could have went before us thats crazy!

The absolute worst hospital I have ever gone to in my life! Felt helpless going through the emergency room, nobody seemed to care. They were giving me unnecessary treatment for my condition. Doctors and nurses are rude and unprofessional. I was in so much pain and nobody came to see about me for almost 2 hours, I had no choice but to leave. I would recommend going to Fort Hamilton Hospital, they immediately asset the situation and thus treated me appropriately. I will be reporting the staff at McCullough-horrible service.

Perfectly fine health care and workers, but their administration is just god-awful as they will do everything in their power to make you pay money that you are not liable for, take advantage of college students and their lack of understanding of the medical system and will badger the patients with debt collectors as opposed to talking to the actual credit card holder resulting in often irreparable credit damage. Do not go here if you have another choice.

Very low quality doctors. I am sorry I paid my copay at the ER visit because I shouldnt have paid it at all. My very sick son was misdiagnosed and rushed off when we were the only ones in the ER. And I knew he was being misdiagnosed. Kind of embarrassing when the parent knows more than the "MD." The doctor was completely incompetent and I will be reporting this to the administration. Not sure why this place is even open.

Absolutely horrible place to work and go for healthcare. The way food is prepared and made is disgusting and cant believe they serve it to patients and staff. As for careers there, the cliques and groups and the higher ups destroy your chance at going anywhere in your job.

Terrible problems with the billing department. I have been there multiple times between me and my family. Every time there is a problem even when insurance providers have changed. Definitely just a money hungry hospital that doesnt care how they get it.

Worst hospital ever. My sister had a baby there and they left all the bloody instruments and bloody mess in the room all night. Disgusting! Then the doctor almost dropped the baby as she was delivering. I would suggest going somewhere different.

Disgraceful care by the hospitalist..Dr Park . She totally dismissed a patient with very serious health problems.. Filed a grievance and may seek an attorney.. Now, I know why they call that place.. "KILL EM AND HYDE EM"!!!

Great experiences in the ED. Have had to take family members there three times in the last 6 months or so. Fast, efficient, and super nice nurses and physicians. Shout out to Clay who is an excellent nurse.

Not pleased with my last visit. . The staff was very rude and inconsiderate . Felt very unwelcome. I will never return. The 1 star is for having free coffee. .no cups. .but the coffee was available.

I had a wicked self-harm injury, and they fixed me up in no time. they were extremely friendly and caring. the ER nurse named allison is unbelievably attractive also, which was a major plus.
