After dealing with a number of other dermatologist trying to treat Psoriasis me 0 improvement I was sent to Dr Shek by a family friend. On the first visit he laid out a treatment plan that was very detailed and thought out. Not only did he tell me what he was going to prescribe to me, but how and why he is making that decision and how it will work when other treatment have failed. He did not mess around! One of his treatments (Humaria) was extremely expensive and I could not afford it, so he got on the phone with the Abvie company and got me enrolled in to special program the subsidized the cost of my prescription! This guy knocked it out of the park! With in 4 weeks 90% of my plaques vanished and my joints started working better as well. The combination of medicine and a diet change worked in 4 weeks when I had tried everything under the sun for years with no result. I am not able to wear shorts and a T shirt for the first time in 5 years without embarrassment. Also with such good results I decided to send my Downs Syndrome brother to him and he helped treat my brothers uncontrollable acne and various rashes and chaffing my brother experiences. This guy is a Wizard and I am very appreciative of his work and how he goes above and beyond. Thank you!

Been taking my daughter for two years and her acne has not improved. Yesterdays visit was the last straw. Dr Shek removed several blackheads from my daughters face - he went at her face like he had an ax in his hand! Later that day, and into today scabs and redness galore! We had been to his medical center (down the hall) a few times for glyco peels and extractions- NEVER leavung and having scabs! My daughter has acne fairly typical of a teenager ( not cystic ) and yesterday Shek suggested if antibiotics didnt work ( for a second month) he suggested Acutane. What the??!! I am very familiar w Acutane and know its not a solution for typical teenage acne. throw it up against the wall and see what sticks! Never going back! AND he spends about 90 seconds in the room w u for your visit!

I had embarrassing keloids and seen several other dermatologist about this. Never was I satisfied with the other physician results. Dr. Shek got me together. I have an appointment 2 weeks from today. Hes good and personable.
