I have been taking my dog to this veterinary hospital for a number of years. I primarily switched because I moved to Lincoln Park and live literally around the block from them. Today my wife called me in tears because she had come home to find our beloved dog on the ground unresponsive and limp with his tongue out of his mouth. We had noticed health changes over the last month and at 13 years old new our time was limited. On my way home I called the hospital and told the lady who answered the phone what was going on and that we probably would be putting our dog down. Her response was things are kinda hectic around here right now you should go to the emergency down the road. I was floored the one time I needed you as my animals vet and that was the response I got from your staff. I was sickened to think that I even gave you patronage the core values of your business and staff as well as their moral and ethical compass are so far off course I dont know if you or your staff are salvageable. Nothing you can do or say can make up for the fact that I had to google a vet while my dog was dying in my arms. Then to be consoled by professionals that I had no relationship with just added insult to injury and made a horrible situation 10 times worse. Shame on you and your staff. Your really need to re-evaluate the oath you took as a vet. Disgusted.

Ive been using this vet for a while for multiple pets and have referred many family members to use them. They were on my good list until these last few months. I took a dog in because of a laceration and they took her in for surgery, cleaned it and sutured it up and then a few days later it broke open again and they charged me a second time to get it done even though they blamed it on the would being dirty. Werent they the ones to clean it? The second thing is that I have a cat with health problems; eyes, ears, nose. Hes always sick and they never try to solve it, they just try to deal with it by giving me more meds. This last week, I decided to take my cat into a specialist in orthopedic and applied kineseology to get some blood work and tests done. When I called to ask them to have a copy of his medical records available for this reason, they gave me a hard time and wouldnt have them ready because they said he needed a referral first so he would need to come in for a visit and I would have to pay for that. At first, I thought that they truly cared for the animals. Its turned into a money battle. Ive been a loyal customer for years with all my pets and theres no reason to be treated this way.

I had my cat, Goldie, at the Lincoln park Vet about 2.5 months ago because she wasnt doing well after my mom passed away. She was given a couple medications and an IV bag due to high levels of something in her kidneys. I had to move suddenly and the Medications and IV bag were lost in the move but she seemed to be doing better. Recently she started crying after urinating so we thought that it would be best to call and get a refill on these medications and continue until they are gone. I called the vet and was informed that they refuse to give her a refill and she needs to come in. Seeing as my mom passed away and I had to suddenly move and am only working part time, I cannot afford another $550 vet bill (thats how much we paid a couple months ago and that really set me back on bills). So instead of at least prescribing her the medications to finish they would prefer Goldie to be in pain and suffer. I will NEVER bring my sweet Goldie there again or any of my animals and I will never recommend them to anyone. Weve been going there for all of our animals for at least 20 years and I will never go back.

Ive been taking my pets to Lincoln Park Vet for 6 years now. Overall, they are a good veterinary clinic. Ive never had a horrible experience with them, and they always seem fair with their charges. Ive always been given options when it has come to my pets care. They are an extremely busy office, so we always spend a little more time in there than I would like. If Im coming in for vaccinations, I really dont think I should spend more than 30 minutes there. Were usually there for an hour. Not horrible, but not great. Im always able to get the appointment times I need, so thats a great plus, especially since they are open on Saturdays as well. They seem to always have a full crew working, so I just really dont understand what all the waiting is about. The staff members are friendly, helpful, and compassionate. The vets themselves tend to come off as a little aloof, but whatever. Is this the best veterinary clinic in the world? Perhaps not, but Ive definitely been to worse. Ill continue to take my pets there since they are conveniently located, have great hours, and are fairly priced.

We have taken our various pets here throughout the years. We absolutely love all the staff here, from reception through checkout!! Our pets have received nothing but the BEST and LOVING care. While all the vets are good, Dr. Juergens happens to be our favorite. Our pets have always been treated as if they belonged to the entire hospital. Recently, we had a serious problem with one of our kitties, and when Dr. Juergens was not able to do anything further for her, she referred us to Michigan State University Veterinary Clinic. So not only do they care for your pets best interests, they are cognizant of your financial capabilities. They do not treat your pet just to get money! Of all the veterinary places we have taken our pets to, we like and appreciate Lincoln Park Veterinary Hospital the best. We would never hesitate to recommend them!!!

I took my cat in for fleas. He was chewing off his fur and he was itching severely. I tried everything which I learned is NOT GOOD I did it in appropriate time intervals as directed by the product but the over the counter stuff can be dangerous. He was irritable and changed his behavior to be much less affectionate. My cat is picky about who touches him but the Dr was amazing with him. Handled my not so friendly to strangers cat as if he raised him! I was shocked! Before the exam I felt as if his only goal was to push product but once I saw him with my baby boy I was amazed. I went in Saturday and my cat is already feeling better and his fur is growing back! Thank you Dr for all of your help!

If you have a lot of time and money to waste.... this is the place for you! I have been treated rudely on a few different occasions in this office not only by the staff but by the Dr (owner). He is a pompous ass! And when he looks at you he sees dollar signs! He just does tests without asking permission or telling you what he is doing until afterwards then you get hit with a big bill on your way out! All to find out that there isnt a problem. He leaves people hanging on to the hopes that their pet will get better to sell them meds and treatment/visits just to keep his cash flowing which is just cruel. I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. I am done!
