I had a great experience at the Animal Medical Center of Marquette. My dog, Radar, got sick while I was visiting family in the Houghton/Hancock area and I brought him to the hospital for treatment. When I initially called the hospital, it was closed but a friendly, knowledgeable nurse/technician answered the emergency line and helped me. A few minutes later, the veterinarian called and gave me additional directions on how to care for Radar. I wanted Radar to been seen at a larger animal hospital that would be able to do any tests/procedures required. I love my dog very much and I wanted him to get the best care. He was treated at the Animal Medical Center of Marquette and quickly recovered after starting the medications and special diet he was given. The staff was professional and caring. They treated Radar well and met my extremely high expectations. The facility was clean, cheerful and comfortable. I highly recommend this hospital.

This is the worst veterinary experience I have ever had. None of their staff is properly informed about their policies and each person you speak to has a different answer. I had previously been a fan of AMC as they had helped me in an emergency situation with my dog but will never recommend them again because it has been an impossible feat to get a booster shot. Not only have they been nearly incompetent but they gave me a specific price over the phone and then when I went in for my appointment (after patiently waiting an hour) they told me the price I was given over the phone was quite a bit less than what they were going to charge me that day. I do not recommend anyone goes here if you like knowing whats going on with your pets care. If you like bait and switch tactics and discrepancies, this is the place for you. If I could give them zero stars I would.

I have been seeing Dr. McCarthy for one-year and recommend her to my other cat-owner-friends. She is knowledgable, personable, and genuinely cares about my pets. It is so wonderful to have found a vet and a clinic that understands that our pets are our family and treats them as such. Edit: since the first time I posted this review, I have seen two of the other vets when Dr. McCarthy has been out of the office - I can say with confidence that the vets in this clinic are nothing but knowledgeable, kind, and understanding. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful clinic in Marquette.

I brought my kitten here for a spay and after the surgery the doctor told me that her hand slipped and that she cut a blood vessel and had to give my kitten a catheter to save her life. The doctor then charged me extra for the catheter, making me pay for her mistake. I called back to schedule an appointment to get my kittens stitches taken out and the doctor informed me that I was required to bring my kitten back in two weeks to get an expensive vaccine booster that I knew nothing about. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone and I dont trust the doctors there.

My roommate and I brought one of our bunnies in because she was bleeding. The doctor didnt believe us when we said it was actual blood, proceeded to sedate the bunny and we come to find out that shes pregnant. The doctor then had to house the bunny during her birth because she had sedated her and she may have died during birth because of it proceeded to charge my roommate extra for housing the bunny and still charged her for the sedation. My bunny was also misdiagnosed for having mental disabilities here. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

This vet clinic took such great care of our fur baby during her chemo treatments. They welcome their patients with open arms and they do a great job with the follow up to make sure our fur baby is as comfy as can be. They events threw party on her last day of treatments! The AMCM is a great place to bring your pets to get the proper care. You leave with the feeling that they truly are passionate about what they are doing and that they truly care for you pet as much as you do!!

I will never take my dog anywhere else. I trust each and every one of the veterinarians at the Animal Medical Center. They are always welcoming and very thorough. I can tell that each of them love what they do. Very clean establishment, always easy to get an appointment, and knowledgeable and friendly staff. Mila and I just love it here!

Animal Medical Center has been our family vet for over 25 years. Always very helpful and there when you need them. Dr. Holmstrom is very honest and thorough. They take great care of our dogs! We especially love Bravecto, a new flee and tick medicine that is given in a chewable tablet that protects for three months! Recommended by AMC.

For over 10 years I have been taking my pets here, and it has always been excellent animal care. The doctor is quite time efficient which is really helpful in most situations. They are really good at what they do and clearly explain whats wrong with my pets.

Fantastic and knowledgeable staff, they seem to truly care about the animals. Sometimes you have to wait a long time to go in, but I suspect that is because the doctors are so thorough, especially in situations where something is hard to diagnose.
