Drs Raphtis, Mamaril, & Johnson all took great care of me when I encountered a severe and stubborn case of iritis! Over the course of the several months that it took to get rid of what they told me was one of the worst cases of iritis that theyd seen in ages, I attended appointments with each of the doctors and found them all to be very pleasant and informative. They all took the time necessary to address my concerns and answer my questions, regardless of how silly some of them were. Located right on University/Walton Blvd right near downtown Rochester, the Balian Eye Center has not only a team of great doctors with an excellent support staff, but also a very nice looking facility with a television in the waiting room replete with cookies and coffee for the patients. I highly recommend the Balian Eye Center if you are looking for a new optometrist in the Rochester area!

I went in for a complete exam and through the entire process was treated professionally by every staff member and the doctor explained any questions I had. I waited about 5 minutes after registration before I was taken in for the exam. Very busy office must be quite popular, was my first time and I will return.

Great doctors but be prepared to wait and wait and wait both while you are there and when you need to get back in. They close at 5:00 and are not customer friendly in many ways. Look elsewhere is my advice.

Doctor was nice once I finally got to see him but the office staff is terrible. Scheduled me an hour before the doctor even shows up, very rude when asking questions.
