Best Decision Ever ! I walked into Castleman Eye Center knowing that I needed a good eye exam and was long overdue for a contacts prescription change. I had put this off for a while and was now dealing with my blurry double distance vision and was using readers for everything else. I was greeted at Castleman by a friendly front office and technician staff. After having an extremely comprehensive eye exam, and thinking now for my prescription change, Dr. Singh informed me that my vision issues were slightly more intense that what I had thought. After discussing such issues as blurry, double, poor vision at night, I was also informed that I had cataracts. So what do I do now, glasses, bifocals, are contacts available, lasik ? I was confused; Dr. Singh and her staff took the time to explain all the options to me and what the final results would be. I elected to have the cataracts removed, some slight lasik to correct an astigmatism and I opted for the multifocal lens that would correct both my distance and near vision to some degree. I then had two short visits to the Castleman Surgical Center, a top notch center with yet another great and friendly staff that took care of me every step of the way. The surgery itself took about 10 min and Dr. Singh did a fantastic job as she nailed it ! Today I am thrilled to report that I am 100 % glasses and contacts free ! My distance vision is better than I can ever remember; I tossed away my readers as now, reading the very small print on the back of product cards or cans is no problem. If you’re looking for an excellent eye and surgical center with great proven results, look no further than Castleman Eye Center and ask for Dr. Singh. RWC Flat Rock, MI

I had my CustomeView Lasik proceedure done 6 months ago at their Troy Location and I absolutely love it! The procedure wasnt cheap (3000$) but Im young (27) and priced out contacts + solution at about 300$/year after insurance helps out this procedure pays itself off in 10 years. I didnt think it would make a huge difference since I primarily wore contacts anyway, but its fantastic never having my contacts bothering me. Especially when allergies kick in and my eyes get itchy, its not nearly as bad as when the lens traps the allergens in there. I never have to take my contacts out or put them in again, my vision is 20/15 ALL the time! I think everyone that can afford it should have it done. My wife is up next as soon as her eyes stop changing. As for the office, it was great. All of my appointments (pre-screening, actual surgery, follow ups) were on time and quick. Were talking 20 minutes in and out for the follow ups. The staff is friendly and the place is just very professional. I would recommend Castleman to anyone.

I had lasik surgery at Castleman Eye Center and am SO HAPPY with my sight. I was better than 20/20 (perfect) on day 1. I play a lot of sports and doing them without glasses or contacts is so much more convenient. I am really happy that I finally took the plunge. I was really scared but the staff at Castleman were so patient and reassuring. They helped me stay calm through the surgery by explaining everything before they did each step. One of the techs even held my hand during the procedure! Its obvious how much they care about their patients. I heard a lot of the patients making very positive comments about their experience in the waiting room when I went in for my initial consultation. That was just one of the things that made me decide to trust them with my eyes.

I am writing this for my Grandparents who arent able to. My grandpa had 2 cataract surgeries and everything went well. The 2nd anesthesiologist didnt read his paperwork so he unfortunately felt the surgery. My Grandma says:"I told Dr.Singh when I came in for follow up and she said she would check to find out who the person was. The people at Castleman Eye Center are great at the office and at the surgery office. Ive recommended Dr.Singh to all of my friends and family and I will continue to recommend them." "Also, the front desk staff is very welcoming and very pleasant and we always spend most of the appointment smiling and laughing."

I went to Castleman Eye Center for cataract surgery and the doctor told me she would perform the surgery, but she would only give me the standard lens. I asked for the multi-focal lens. She said thats what my insurance company would pay for. I stated I was willing to pay the difference out pocket PRIOR TO THE SURGERY. She still refused and told me that I had to take whatever she offered me. Needless to say I refused her offer and never returned. To this day they are still sending letters for me to return as a patient. Im not interested in any service they have to offer anymore.

I have always wanted to have Lasik but of course, have always been hesitant to get the procedure. No surprise. :-) Honestly, I had nothing to worry about. The whole procedure was quick and painless. I wont lie. If youre a control freak like me, it can be a little unnerving but having Dr. Singh and her team walk me through every step really helped me feel less anxious. My vision is already 20/20 less than 24 hours later and Im told it will continue to improve. I now feel like I should have done this years ago but Im glad I waited and chose to have this done by Dr. Singh and her team.

My wife just wanted a simple eye exam, not knowing they didnt offer eyeglasses. They billed us $180 for something that would routinely be billed at $80 for a simple eye exam! Then we got a bill for it 8 months later. The insurance company said they never received the claim, so now its a HUGE hassle, and the Castlemans billing department hasnt returned a call to me yet, so Im going to have to drive down there and get some answers... If they werent going to offer eyeglases, and the exam cost so much darn money, why didnt they let us know???

The experience was incredible! Hard to believe that after a one hour procedure. I could read without glasses, see pebbles in concrete & detail I havent been able to see for years. feel like I am 20 years younger as far as my vision is concerned. Dr. Singh is so very talented, experienced & carefully guided me through the procedure with ease, I am so very grateful for my results & would highly recommend for anyone who is questionig whether to go thru is or not? Professional, friendly, comforting are only a few words to describe Dr. Singh and the entire staff. From pre to post op! I am so happy with the results of my Lasik surgery, it goes beyond what I expected. There was very minimal discomfort after surgery and that disappeared after a couple hours. I chose to have the monovision correction, I was able to read and drive the next day without glasses. From consultation to actual procedure to after care ALL my questions and concerns were answered and addressed.
