I would like to give them a negative rating if i could. Their eye exam, technicians and doctors are good but their policies sound fraud and their staff is very rude and argumentative. They did my wifes eye exam yesterday for contact lens and she asked for her prescription for contact lens. They refused to give that to her although my insurance was covering for her eye exam. She was forced to either order the contact lens through them immediately or she had to pay for the eye exam bill from her pocket before she left. She was also charged fitting fee of $60 although her prescription and provider of her contact lenses has not changed for three years. Since her insurance was covering for her exam, she simply wanted to take her prescription and shop for contact lenses on her own and find a cheaper source to buy them. she was told that her insurance policy states that she has to order my lenses from the same provider who does the eye exam and she had to order the lenses the same day as well which sounds like a complete fraud. They also said that they would not give her glass prescription if she did not order contacts from them. Technician was very rude. No one on their office could explain where is that written and they would not let her leave without paying. It was very uncomfortable as if she was held against her will for a ransom. Finally she was let go with her contact lens and glasses after she ordered one year supply and paid for it.

Where do i start, i had to walk out of an appointment 2 years ago as I was still waiting for someone to start the process of my eye checkup during a week day 45 minutes into my appointment. Now I go back assuming things are different to check if they can help get prescription on my wifes sunglasses. There were three staff members including the Manger staring at their monitors, not one cares to greet us. We waited for 15 minutes and decided to check and see if they are closing, just about that time a Caucasian couple walks in and they get a warm welcome from not just one two of the staff members. Should i call this racism? And when my wife approached the staff to check on if we are going to get any help they throw an excuse that they thought we were waiting after a doctors visit. Now should i go back here?

Update: They left a reply saying someone would reach out. Not sure if it would have made a difference, but no one did! They only left that reply to try to redeem themselves in front of you people who are reading these reviews. Hold these brands accountable if we are going to spend our hard earned dollars and invaluable time there. Original post: Just left - felt like the girl at the counter was talking unnecessarily loud to me. Everyone in the place could hear my private info. Turned to her coworker a couple of times to ask a question and spoke in a low tone but would then turn to me and over-project her voice. I didnt think I appeared hard of hearing. Didnt like her tone and she made the process for getting glasses too difficult for me to be interested anymore. No thanks, Ill go elsewhere.

My eye exam was 7/10. The doctor was friendly and professional.The assistant and/or nurse was somewhat unprofessional, not focusing her full attention on me the patient but talking to coworkers. The office is nice, and so is the waiting area. They offer care credit which is convenient for some. The opticians do try to upsale you so go in there mindful of what you want and get only that. My biggest complaint is the fact that I had to call up there to see if my eye glasses were ready for pickup. A manager told me the wait would be 7-10 business days. I called in that time frame and were told they were ready. I feel that they shouldve called me when they had arrived because I had to wait on the phone for 5 mins to find out this information.

Against my better judgement, I visited this facility today after a previous bad experience. The previous experience was a couple of years ago and consisted of an extraordinarily long wait time followed by a two-week wait for the promised "same day" glasses. Today all I wanted was a clip-on shade, and their convenient location made me want to give them a second chance. I waited for five minutes while the accessory counters only employee helped the only other customer. Just as that customer got up to leave, another stepped up next to me. Guess which one of us the employee decided to help first. Im giving them one star because Google Reviews doesnt allow for a score of zero.

First off, I would have never gone here in the first place, but my vision insurance changed and this was the closest place that accepted my new coverage. Henry Ford Optimeyes is hands down the WORST experience I have ever had in eye-care. Quadruple booked my appt. I wasnt seen until over an hour past and I was there 15 Min early. The employees have no idea what theyre doing and after they ran my insurance, started quoting me prices that werent even on my plan! Now 12 days later, trail contacts are not in and they have no idea why. They are now refusing to hand over my prescription so I could just go somewhere else! NEVER again will I ever go to Henry Ford Optimeyes.

I had got an wood chip in my eye called them about 6 o clock they made room to fit my in their schedule which I highly appreciate because I was in a lot of pain they were able to remove it Doctor Harris I believe his name was walked me thro every step and way very helpful I recommend this place to everyone all the workers are nice and polite and really card about my eyes Thank You Guys So Much For Your Help!!

Very unprofessional. I asked several times to fax over my prescription to another eyeglass place & they gave us the run around. I had to waste my gas & go to Optimeyes & pick up my prescription myself. Never again will I go to this place. Terrible service & I dont recommend it to anyone. Maybe they treated me like crap because I have state insurance? Who knows. Think twice before going here.

Service was quite outstanding. I was early for my appointment so I knew Id have to a bit. When I was called, the employees were efficient and understanding. Service was prompt and professional. Dr. Kimbro was thorough and patient. He answered my questions to my satisfaction. I would recommend this location to my family & friends.

I ordered my toddlers glasses over 10 days ago and have had to call three separate times to see if they were ready only to be told that the frames were still being processed and that they would look into what the problem was and why we dont have them yet. This is so unprofessional and I will never go back to this place again.

I had an appt the other day and bc I nev wore glasses I was not aware of the process. No one measured me or anything. They were not helpful at all. Well, I went back today 3/8 and while I was there I was contacted by Shirley Jean who was very helpful and very apologetic. I purchased some designer glasses at a very good price.
