First of all, I want to say the doctor that I had at Bloomington/Lake Clinic for more than 15 years and the staff in that clinic were always personable, helpful, and thorough. I always knew the bottom line was CARING for the patients. They took the time it took to get to the bottom of whatever problem I came in for without being limited to a certain amount of time set for each appt. by someone in management who doesnt have a degree in medicine. That said, the reason for the 1 star is what has happened to that clinic since Fairview took over. My doctor took an early retirement soon after it became Fairview and the changes that have come along since are the reason for the one star and the reason I am in the process of looking for another non-Fairview clinic. It bothered me that the first thing Fairview did was remodel the clinic that was just fine the way it was, a sign to me that CARE wasnt their first agenda. Id rather have had that money spent on allowing Drs. longer time with their patients. Gone were the familiar faces at the front desk and making an appt. became an experience of waiting in a phone queue for at least 8 min. every time. I can barely manage 1 star for the phone/communication system. Again, they could have spent the money they spent on remodeling on employing more appt. staff! They have some serious problems there. I have also had terrible experiences of patient care at Fairview hospitals. Every Fairview experience Ive had has shown me they dont know how to CARE for people and the bottom line for them is making a profit. I recently went to a Park Nicollet Clinic and had a much better experience from beginning to end.

When one pays premium price for health care (out of pocket) ito examine and correctly diagnose a medical condition (possible fracture or broken bone min this instance), if the clinicianis not a medical doctor, this should be clearly conveyed to the client so they decline service and go elsewhere where medical doctors are employed. I was not seen by an MD, rather a DO, who did not know anything about my injury and merely referred me to orthopedic Drs. at clinics I told him I would NOT go to since I already have an orthopedic Dr. with whom I am working. He did not even manipulate the joint or try to better determine the nature of the injury. He could not even enlarge the digital Xray that he ordered, in order to determine if there was a dislocation or fracture. I also asked for a prescription for a persistent cough, which was supposedly verified by the DO listening to my lungs through a stethoscope through two layers of thick cotton shirts, not by direct contact with my skin. Credible, scholarly medical articles found on line indicate the unreliability and therefore the efficacy of such practice. I did NOT get any measurable amount of medical care or attention that is worth the price that FAIRVIEW Clinics will attempt to bill. Im fighting this one. In any other sphere of commerce, if a business does not deliver, there is little or no charge. The health care industry should be no different.

I have always felt well cared for at Oxboro Fairview Clinic. Whenever I have called to make an appointment, I felt that they cared for me, as an individual, not just a number. As a matter of fact, I feel this way about all of the staff, from the reception to the techs, the nurse practitioner and the doctors. I appreciate the fact that Im not just told what to do regarding my health care. My physician has made recommendations, then invited me to participate in the final analysis of what is best for me. I have never just been told what to do. Treatment plans have been presented so I can make an informed decision of what I think will work best for me. I also like the fact that lab and the pharmacy is in the same building-no more having to go somewhere else to get prescriptions filled. Their staff are friendly and professional, and I have found some items there, not medically related, I couldnt find anywhere else. I think the people there are awesome. Their lab is only one of the many places I have gone for blood work and it has gone well for me. I, usually, am in a great deal of pain, but their professionalism has kept me from suffering needlessly. All in all, I am very happy with Oxboro, not just for myself, but also for my husband, who is a diabetic. He has received excellent care and I have seen a huge improvement in his health since he started going there.

I was always taken here as a child and i decided to go back here sadly when I got a concussion and had to follow up with a doctor. I went to see doctor Rightoff I believe his name is. I was 19 at the time he told me that i had to see a pediatrician instead because he treats people my grandparents not people my age. Even though my brother went to him once he was 18. All i needed was him to fill out a paper for my job saying I could not lift heavy items. It took a week of calling just to get my paper back! He also said to just take some Excedrin for my concussion and refused to give me anything else. So when i had to go back i went to see a doctor in the pediatric area. I do not remember her name but she told me that she also could not help me because I was too old and she could not provide me with what I needed for my concussions. I was sent back and forth with out getting helped and had to pay for the appointments with out getting any help. I went to see an obgyn doctor once there and he forgot me in his office for 2 hours and was no where to be found when i looked for him. I would suggest seeing a lovely doctor named Michelle who I saw when I got the stomch flu but I dont know if she works there anymore as she could only take walk in appointments but she was fantastic! Otherwise I do not recommend this place at all.

I was eating at Baker Square with some friends we noticed an elderly women trying to cross the street and get up on the curb, she was having difficulty. When we went out to see if we could help, a bystander had already pulled over to help. This elderly women was making her way across the street after being KICKED OUT of urgent care. She had just visited urgent care due to a gushing hand and drooling possibly a sign of a stoke. She had gotten there about 10 minutes before close, and they kicked her out because they where so close to closing time. She was sitting on the side of the street half-on-half-off the side walk. A very nice citizen pulled over to help and call 911. The sick women didnt have enough money to pay for an abulance but the lady who pulled over didnt care. She called them anyway. I just want to write my feeling to how horrible their service was to this nice lady. She had no reason to be shot down like that. I even saw the workers leave and look at the old women being taken away in an ambulance. It is the saddest thing I have EVER seen. I hope our society can do better than that.
