I have never reviewed a single thing in my entire life. Yet, this place was so terrible that I joined google plus just to write this review and hopefully save people the frustration of going to this awful place. DO NOT GO HERE! I went there because my insurance takes it, I live nearby, and I try to support local businesses. They scheduled me for a cleaning and initial check up. I got there 10 minutes early, filled out my paper work, and waited almost an hour before they actually called me in to see a hygienist. But wait, this wasnt a hygienist, all she did was take x-rays and told me that I wouldnt be getting a cleaning. I explained to them that Id been to the dentist in three different states, and Ive never gone there for a first visit without getting a check up. They claimed they were super swamped and only had one hygienist and were running behind. Meanwhile, after my x-rays, I was left sitting in the chair for 15 minutes while I overheard employees in the hallway talking about their weekend plans the entire time. "Swamped" in the parallel universe of this miserable office must mean the absence of desire or inability to provide this service. Under that definition, everyone at this place was incredibly swamped.

Getting an accurate bill has been a tremendous hassle due to Family Dentals lack of responsiveness to my concerns. They did not bill my insurance for the portion of my bill to be paid by my insurance, and they ignored my frequent calls and messages left for multiple people over the course of about four weeks. They only called me back at all after I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, at which time as they agreed to submit my claim to insurance. A month and a half later, I have now received the revised bill—which is for an amount greater than the initial charge previously billed (despite my insurance supposedly having paid its portion)! I have no complaints with the dental care, and I have every tolerance for honest mistakes, but due to their complete lack of interest in resolving legitimate concerns, I advise you to avoid this company.

There seems to be some issues scheduling at this clinic. The first appointment I had with them was earlier this month, and I was called into what I thought was an exam/cleaning 45 minutes after my appointment was scheduled to begin (with no apology or explanation for the delay). After the exam I was instructed to schedule another appointment for a cleaning & filling. I arrived for my next appointment to find out the provider I was scheduled with would not be in for another 1.5 hours that day. So, after my cleaning I was again told to schedule another appointment for my filling. Once I was actually seen each time the providers were very friendly and informative, but having to miss work for three dental appointments in a month is definitely not ideal.

I have only been here once but it was a very pleasant experience all the way around! I was treated with respect and everything was thoughtfully explained. Dental emergencies are never fun but these people made it as easy as possible for me. Offering payment plans with no interest is wonderful and rare to find. They scheduled a cleaning, once I got there, the people were polite and efficient. It seemed to go very fast after waiting for 30 minutes.
