I dont understand how this place can call itself a hospital and the people who work there call themselves "care givers"! Nothing could be further from the truth! I brought my father (82 yrs old) in the emergency on 3/2/14 because he fell and lost the use of his legs. They did a x-ray and found nothing broken but his spine was as crooked as a lightning bolt and he could not move or use his legs. At 3:00 a.m. I received a call from the emergency room nurse that I had to come get my dad, very demanding and very direct, and that it was not an option for him to stay there. It was -15 out and it took 3 of us to load him in my van. What about when I got to my dads apartment? How many of us would it take for me to transfer him from my van to his apartment? Thank God it only took one. I dropped my dad and he laid on the ice for a few minutes but the people working the E.R. that night should all be let go. As far as Im concerned, Drs. Beau, Metcalf, and Zurick should all go back to school. How come none of you "educated Doctors" had the foresight to take a x-ray of my dads back 6 months ago and find the bulging disks that are killing the nerves in his legs? Youre operating a bad facility and you have extremely bad pratices and Im ashamed to say youre operating such an uncaring facility in my hometown. You have nothing to be proud of. Be thankful that I dont tell anyone on here how you killed my mother by ignoring her for two hours when my dad brought her in with her stroke several years ago. You people make me sick!!!

Horrible place its sad its even being labeled as a hospita. Its a discrace. I just left there waited 2 hours in the waiting room then i go to a room they put in an IV an give meds i had a reaction to the nurse couldnt care less and apparently on a friday night they only have 1 doctor working??? Very sad. Some body there needs to lose their job who only has 1 doc working in a hospital on a friday night not to mention the leve of disrespect i got from the nurse i had. She either dont like her job or disnt want to be there either way it was disgusting to say the least. I will never go back ill drive the extra 40 mins to go to mora or st.cloud. did i mention i had an allergice band on an she still gave me meds i was allergic to an the tagaderm that i now have hives from. This place should be closed down until they can find new staff.

We <3 Dr Fraboni in family practice, he has delivered two of my littles and will be delivering our 3rd in a few months. HE IS AMAZING but BUSY. The birthplace has amazing nurses, but on your last day the experience falls short based off two experiences - they just dont seem driven to bring a wonderful experience full circle. The emergency room is hit or miss and that entirely depends on the doctor on staff - I dont think we have ever had a nurse in the emergency room that wasnt amazing, but the doctor tends to hinder the experience. Anderson always seems to do everything in his power to make things better, however there is an ?Asian? doctor that is TERRIBLE beware likely if he helps you or your kids you will end up back in emergency or with your regular doc days later with the same issues.

My husband and I just had our second baby last week. Our first was at another hospital and our new son was delivered at Fairview Northland. We had an amazing experience and would recommend this hospital to any family or friend. We can not say enough great things about the staff, nurses and Dr. Peter Jensen. They communicated and explained everything to us before, after and along the way. They were amazing with our birth plan and wishes for our baby. Dr. Jensen made us feel so comfortable and was a great support for both myself and husband. We have decided to have Dr. Jensen be our family doctor and trust him with our children 100%. If anyone is considering having a baby at this hospital I would say you are in great hands and will have a great experience.

Excellent birthing unit! My wife and I had our second child here. Previously with our first we had used a much bigger hospital about a half hour to the northwest. The feeling here was so much different and better. The staff treats you like family and they know you by name. They brought food for our family to our room so we didnt have to split apart. They have a snack area just for the dads going through the process with their wives. Id recommend this place to anyone for a birthing experience. If we have another, well be back. The staff answered every single question and were not pushy like other large hospitals make you feel. In fact it doesnt really even feel like youre in a hospital.

We LOVE Dr. Fischer, Dr. Fraboni, and the clinic staff. We LOVE the birth unit and the staff up there. Our family wont go anywhere else! More than 5 stars for them! The ER is a whole other story. Do not use the ER here, it is horrendous. The clinic and birth center, absolutely, but not the ER. We will never ever use their ER again. You will not get the care thats vitally necessary or tests run that are vitally necessary, youll just get jerked around long enough for them to claim they did their job (when they didnt) and youll be sent home the same way you came in. Lazy and incompetent! The ER doesnt even deserve one star. Make the extra drive for a different ER.

Waited 3 hours for stitches on a dog bite, and they never ran x-rays to see if there was any other problems. I went back two years later to have my son, and I dont recommend going there. I loved my doctor, but the nurses were my main issue. Didnt matter that I didnt want 16 people doing cervical checks, or that I was getting really stressed because I felt like I had been violated. Birth isnt supposed to be a 3 ring circus. 48 hours of labor, to many cervical checks, pain meds wore off during C-section, and almost 7 months later Im still in pain from it and cant even bring myself to go back to be seen for it.

I have read the other reviews and am so sorry that they had such poor experiences. I was there for a conlonectomy, and could not have been treated with better care or concern. The admitance and surgerical staff were friendly, courteous and very efficient. My recovery was helped immensly by the friendly group of nurses and assistances. It is, in my estimation, one of the best small hospitals in the greater minneapois area. I had the choice of this hospital or the U of M. I am certainly pleased with my choice. Thank you to everyone that assisted me during the uncertain, trying time of cancer.
