1. My primary care physician left, and I was not notified. 2. I found out only because my pharmacy called me to say the clinic was not answering their refill requests. 3. The clinic was not denying their refill requests, just not answering - leaving me, and my pharmacy in the dark regarding the status of my DAILY prescription. 4. After calling the clinic to check on my prescription, I was told the pharmacy was incorrectly requesting the refill. STILL NOTHING ABOUT MY PCP LEAVING. 5. Called pharmacy, who sent in a FOURTH request. 6. Called clinic back, still no answer to the pharmacy. And, STILL NOTHING ABOUT MY PCP LEAVING. 7. Called pharmacy again. They kindly sent a fifth refill request. NO RESPONSE. 8. Called clinic again. Finally received the information that I no longer had a primary care physician, because she had left MONTHS ago. BUT no one could tell me if I needed to schedule another appointment with a different physician in order to get my prescription refilled. They needed to speak to the pharmacy first - which isnt true. 9. Thank you to Lake Street CVS Pharmacists who kindly called the practice to explain no one was responding to their requests. Then, the pharmacy NOT THE CLINIC called me back to explain they had received a 3 month prescription with no refill. And that I probably needed a new physician to get a refill on my prescription. 10. I call the clinic. They cant get me in to a new doctor for FIVE MONTHS. Two months after my prescription expires. The suggested work around for this was for me to schedule, and pay for, two different doctor appointments at different locations, with different doctors who would still not be a primary care physician for me. ****Not only did I receive rude and inconsiderate customer service and unhelpful or misleading information from the Allina East Lake Clinic, I also received NO information from them to assist me in finding a new PCP after one of their physicians (with a full patient load) left their practice. If I hadnt reached out multiple times on my own, I never would have known I didnt have a doctor anymore. This itself is completely unacceptable, coupled with a horrible customer service experience means I will no longer be using Allina Health Care and I will absolutely NOT RECOMMEND it to anyone I know in the Twin Cities. I called Hennepin County Medical Center. They scheduled an appointment for me in two weeks, at the location I requested, and had excellent customer service.

I loved the midwife I had for my appointment, but this clinic is extremely lacking in support staff. Every single time I have called I have waited for 15 minutes or more before speaking with the receptionist. I waited to get checked in for 20 minutes because there was one receptionist (who had excellent customer service, but was all alone while other employees just walked around not helping). After waiting another 10 minutes to get called back by the nurse I was told I would have to reschedule my appointment for being 20 minutes late. I expressed my frustration as I was only late due to the line to get checked in. They reluctantly agreed to see me. The nurse told me "I am sorry for your wait...actually I really am not sorry". I did appreciate the nurse for going above and beyond her scope of work to educate me in protocols. The midwife was excellent she took her time and was very thorough. To end the appointment a lab tech jammed a needle way to far in my arm causing pain for two days following my appointment. I almost jumped out of the chair and said "wow that hurt a lot" and she didnt even look at me. An appointment that should have taken one hour tops took me two hours. I will never go to this clinic again.

If you are looking for a new clinic, this is definitely one to avoid. The service is awful. I contacted this clinic after a doctors visit and asked a nurse to return my call regarding a medication issue. I was told a nurse would call me back within two hours. A day went by. I called back. Same story--a nurse would call back. This went on for four days. I never got a return call despite the fact that they knew it was regarding a reaction to medication. Eventually I drove there, walked in, and asked to please talk to someone, as the weekend was coming up and I was worried about my reaction to a medication. In addition, when I recently called to make a follow-up appointment, I was on hold for more than 30 minutes, then the line went dead. I called back, waited on line for 20 minutes, and eventually gave up. The service and follow-up here has been awful. I would not recommend this clinic.

I had the strangest clinic encounter in the entire 40 years Ive been responsible for my doctor appointments. I got to my morning appointment appointment 20 minutes early; the receptionist looked at the computer screen with a puzzled look and then informed me the doctor had canceled my appointment to attend a meeting. I doubt I need to break this down much but what kind of meeting excuses a doctor from their appointment(s). Im not talking sore throat here; this was about major health concerns. My first Allina physician lasted 20 years. My send (at East Lake), lasted 2 appointments (she moved). My third so far is failure to launch. Maybe its me.

I like my doctor but this clinic sucks! I got here 20 minutes early and didnt find out till 45 minutes after my appointment that the dr. Was running late by a half hour when I got here. I was never told and they have no estimated time of when I will be called back for my appointment. Not to mention this appointment this clinic called me to reschedule because the first appointment they made the doctor was not evendors going to be here and they screwed up. No one apologizes for the wait aND there are tons of employees walking around they just never acknowledge anyone. Ill never come here again

Like the doctors but support staff are vastly understaffed. Waits are so long on the phone I have just given up and gone down there to make appointments because it took less time. Can usually see a doc within 24 hours or so. Dr. Maher, who sees my son, is fantastic. The administrative staff have worked very hard to try to accommodate my familys needs. There is still an ongoing issue with their support staff, so far I have been on hold for over 20 minutes today.

I only chose this clinic because of its location its close to my residence but I would have not chosen this clinic for its service. The hold times for the phone are way too long on average 15-20 minutes and when you come for your appointment no matter what times it is you wait at least 25 minutes to be checked in no matter what day or time it is. This place is either under staffed or staffing needs addition training.

Called at 8am and waited on hold for 45 minutes before someone finally answered. They had one appointment opening today at 8:45am (which is what time it was when she was telling me this). How convenient. I called Allinas Highland Park Clinic and they answered in 5 minutes and got me an appointment before noon.
