New to the area and needed a new clinic for my cat. Since this was the closest I tried there first and was blown away by the lack of professionalism at this clinic. My cat had developed a large lump literally overnight behind his left ear. When we brought him in we were told that it was probably a tumor and treated as if we didnt pay enough attention to our cat to have missed such a thing. We were also assured it was probably cancer but tests would need to be done after they removed the growth. We were told the surgery would happen the next morning. When I called in the afternoon they told me they dont do surgeries until 1pm. Finally received a call later that afternoon that the surgery was done but they wanted to keep an eye on him one more night and they would call me right away in the morning to come pick him up. By noon I had received no such call and when I called I got a message that no one would be in the office until after 2! By 4 pm I had to finally call again and was told he was ready to go for quite some time!? When I arrived I was presented with an almost $700 bill and that they dont do payment plans and only took cash or credit. Who carries that kind of cash around and I dont do credit cards. They had to phone the owner because at this point I was furious and he finally agreed to accept my check. Even the next customer was a little upset that they didnt make payment options clear when she wanted to write a check as well. Was told to expect cancer again but of course the results came back negative. At this point I will drive half way across the twin cities to go back to my old clinic before I go back to this quack. Unless you have money to waste and like being jerked around I would stay far assessment from this vet.

I had just moved to the area and far away from my vet, when my beloved elderly pug began to rapidly decline. In the course of a few hours he went from "I think he doesnt feel well" to "this is the end and hes suffering." Even though I was not a patient of South Saint Paul Animal Hospital, they agreed to see us right away at the end of the day. We had already decided that we would not put our baby through any interventions, as he was very old, and his quality of life was not great. The staff at the clinic did not question I decision to have him put to sleep. They offered us tests, but did not push them. They were very compassionate, and helped us make his end as peaceful as possible. Now Ive been taking my other pets to the clinic and I am still very happy with the care they receive. The office is not fancy, but its clean and professionally run. The staff are friendly. My dogs are treated well. The fees are reasonable. I would recommend South Saint Paul Animal Hospital to my friends.

I brought my dog here to have a tooth extraction, 1 tooth, went to pick her up and 7 teeth were pulled. That would of been fine except that I didnt receive a phone call to ask permission or to talk about the expense. My bill was 500 more than I expected to pay. I know others who have brought their pets here who have also had bad experiences. A lot of misdiagnosis and spendy treatments have been suggested. Luckily some have gone with 2nd opinions but others have had to say goodbye to their furry friend because of misdiagnosis. I have found a new vet and try to continue warning others of this practice. As of today 3/16/2017, my friends cat was misdiagnosed and put on a medication that ultimately killed him. This vet should not have a practice! Use caution if you still consider bringing your furry friend here.

Lost dog. Tried to get her back, they required a dog tag and we were new to the area. They said the allow a $50 desposit and a dog tag to be bought from city hall the next day (my husband was leaving for work). GREAT! well do that... ... oh but wait, they said, we only allow a fee to be paid if city hall is closed. You have to go right now and get a licence. My husband said "Ill be late for work, can I give you the deposit and bring it tomorrow? Ill leave you whatever you want as collateral" the response? "Guess you better call your boss then." Even if this is your policy, this is just rude and bad customer service. VERY VERY unhappy. Ive lost my dog before (this time a tree hit my house and broke my fence and she wandered off) and it has NEVER EVER EVER been this frustrating. zero stars if I could.

It was a waste of my time to go to this place. I was refered by one of my coworkers to bring my rabbit here. I was told to drop off my rabbit from 8-10am and so I did a little after 8. I was told the neuter was only going to take a couple minutes and they werent going to start until 10. So I checked back at 11am and was told they havent even started. That should of been a red flag to just take my rabbit home. Three hours later, I got a call from the vet telling me he isnt sure if my rabbit is a boy or girl but he did do an incision on the rabbit for whatever his reasons are. I picked up my rabbit right away and I am never returning to this animal hospital. Super disappointed.

Weve been bringing our cat here her whole life, she is 19 years of age. We also bring our dog and other kitty here too and never had we had one bad experience here. The staff are very friendly and also knowledgeable. The prices are very decent and the doctors genuinely care about the animals well being. Dr. Dave knows a lot about animals and things that come with having them as a part of the family. He even knew about my rare monitor lizards that we rescued. I have brought in my pets who passed away, just to confirm they are in fact gone. I have received a card in the mail every time for a pets death, just a few days after they happen. I would recommend anyone to go here!

I would highly recommend Dr. David Abramowicz. He saved my cat, Muziks life twice. Last June, he couldnt breathe and was dying. He was found to have a lung tumor. Despite the poor prognosis, Dr. Abramowicz was able to remove the lung and tumor successfully. Eight months later, my poor cat developed another tumor in the liver. Once again, Dr. Abramowicz was able to successfully remove the tumor from the liver. My cat is still alive and happy. We are thankful to have Muzik as long as we have. It is rare to find such a good and dedicated Veterinarian. Nellie Kim

We took our adopted Australian Cattle Dog, Lola, in due to something that required attention right away. When we brought her home after surgery she wasnt doing much better and we took her back in and found out that she had complications due to the surgery that she had. Dr. Dave was concerned, very understanding, and even invited us to come visit her during treatment so she knew that we still cared. I will be recommending Dr. Dave to all of my friends that have their own fur-baby. Thank you, Dr. Dave.
