The first few times I went to Excel Dentistry it seemed like a great dentist! The hygienist was very friendly and she remembered me the second time I came in. My opinion has since changed. I should have noticed the red flags from the beginning. I went in for my annual exam, I was told I had a cavity that they would watch. I then went in for a deep cleaning, I was then told the cavity was on the opposite side and needed a root canal. I went through with the root canal and a crown. Here I am just a short 3 years after having the root canal done, and the crown has come off. I now go to another dentist who questioned the work done by Excel. My new provider asked several times where I had gotten the work done to make sure their dentistry had not done this. He told me that the tooth preserved was not very substantial by itself and that the dentist should have included a pin to help hold the cement and the crown. He also advised that a crown should last decades, not a few years. Now, because of the root canal that was not properly completed, I need to get a bridge or an implant. Excel Dentistry did not do what was best for me and my situation. The root canal should have been done correctly in the first place. I am now left in financial restraints and without a functioning tooth until I produce another few thousand dollars to correct their work. I feel ripped off, and now I question if I even needed the root canal in the first place. I definitely would not recommend Excel Dentistry.

I highly recommend Excel Dentistry, the wonderful staff and Dr. Shibko. I have had work done before, though I have never been more pleased as I am now with the final outcome. I typically never write a review or rave about a product I tried but this time I felt compelled to share the wonderful experience Ive had. I love the fact that I am always informed of what needs to be done and how and I always know what to expect as far as payment. I appreciate Dr. Shibko the most for always taking the time to go over the treatment options with me and really takes into consideration the patients input. Amanda is really thorough with cleaning and gave me advice on things I should do to improve my overall mouth health. The front desk staff (Sarah in particular) has always promptly responded to my many emails and they are so incredibly easy to work with as far as accommodation for appointments and working around my jam packed crazy busy schedule. All in all I am beyond pleased with the work done and the customer service. I have been a patient for over 2 years now and the drive to their location for me is long and rough during rush hour, but the moment I walk in the clinic I get greeted by my first name and the dental assistants come right up and walk me over to my seat. That makes up for everything and they have truly won my business over and over again. Thank you Excel Dentistry for a wonderful experience!!

I went here to have a teeth cleaning after searching for a few different places that would accept my insurance. I ended up getting 8 cavities filled here. The dentist and the assistants never communicated to me what they were doing. It was extremely uncomfortable. They also had a lack of communication. They told me that my insurance only covered silver fillings. After my first appointment I went in the bathroom to look and they were white fillings. I thought that they had charged me for it when I told them I only wanted what my insurance covered. They later explained that they do what is best for the teeth and they pay for the rest - thanks for telling me that upfront after I got upset about it. The dentist I saw was hard to understand because of his accent. I was originally told that it would take 2 appointments to fill all my cavities but after the second appointment, when I thought it was all done, I was told "it will take one more appointment". I felt like they were milking my insurance for more money. Not to mention, the first time I went they told me I was at risk for gingivitis (I am 21, a non smoker and otherwise healthy) and recommended I do a deep cleaning treatment that my insurance doesnt cover that cost over $400. Yeah right! The employees did not insure that I understood the care I was getting. I will not be going back. Seem to be money hungry to me.

I LOVED going to the dentist...until I went to this place. Now I have anxiety about going to dentists and have to be on some kind of calming meds before I have anything done. The first dentist I saw here filled a cavity on a tooth, but not the entire cavity on the tooth, so when I was still having pain and had to go back in, I then needed a crown because there wasnt enough tooth left to keep the filling stable. Due to having to have a crown, I had to have a root canal, which another dentist there tried to perform himself, and after telling him 4 times that I was not numb from the anesthetic, he proceeded to try the root canal anyway, only for me to feel the entire thing and him to give up and tell me I had to go to a specialist. The crown didnt fit, it had to be shaved down a LOT and my bite is still off. This all happened roughly 4 years ago. Today, the metal in the crown is showing on the bottom edges and the top due to the white stuff (porcelain? I dont remember) coming off from all the shaving. Its loose/moves around, and to top it off, Im starting to have pain in that tooth again. The one good thing I will say about them is that they honored my request for a refund after this horrid ordeal. But I wouldnt recommend anyone ever go here.

I hate dentists. Im petrified of them. Not sure what past experience I had that makes me feel some way towards them. But my husband has been going to excel and when I was going on year fourth of avoiding dentist and started grtting cavaties I HAD to be seen. I went to excel since ny husband boast about them and has nothing bad to say ever. I had a filling and deep cleaning done. It was hardly any pain and went way smoother then I ever thought. Dr.Shibko is AWESOME. He asks u throughout the procedure if your doing ok and if u need anything. He is thorough is explanining everything and asks you questions. I felt really comfortable and definetly felt the professionalism and concern they have for their patient. Everyone from Eva hygenist to the lovely beautiful ladies at the desk that greet you and offer you water and explain everything. The whole experience was awesome and im actually looking forward to my next visit. Yeahhhhh thank you guys. Even though weve moved soooo far away from you guys now. Well definetly be family for life. <3

This is the best dentist office EVER. I live in Minneapolis without a car. It takes me an hour and a half to get here by bus but I do it because its worth it. They are friendly, professional and do a wonderful job. They guide you through every step of the process and make sure you are okay every step of the way. I have never been in pain at this dentist office and have never been surprised by any work they do. The friendly demeanor exists in EVERY employee: the receptionists, the hygienists and the dentists. Also, when my appointment is scheduled at 2:00, I have my appointment at 2:00. No more sitting in the lobby endlessly wondering when my service will start. They are also quick, my appointments usually never last longer than an hour. I recommend them to everyone, especially as they accept many health care plans, and are willing to help you find a way to pay for those services not covered by insurance. Again...BEST DENTAL CLINIC EVER!!!! I cant sing my praises enough for these guys.
