I would not recommend this vet to anyone. The service was horrible and it was ridiculously overpriced. I was forced to go to this vet through a pet rescue service that I adopted my dog from. First of all they charged $35 just to walk through their door and there vaccinations are overpriced. Niether of the vets really talked to me about my pet only the techs and the whole time they were just trying to get me to authorize them to do things to the dog didn’t need or trying to sell me medication. The doctor actually had the audacity to call me two hours before an appointment I had scheduled three weeks earlier to reschedule because he had a chiropractor appointment he couldn’t miss. Then when I went in there to get my dog spayed, which was supposed to be covered in the $180.00 they received they come up with a $567.00 bill for extra procedures that didn’t need to be done and said that the fee only covered the spaying, which to this vet meant that he was going to slice my dog without pain meds and charge $35 just for me to come in his door as if he could fix her without me doing that. Before going to this vet I used Watson Veterinary Clinic and I have never had better service. The vets know what they are doing they are very attentive to you and your pet and they do not try to rob you blind.

I have been searching for a new vet for my 2 chihuahuas and cat for awhile. Im very picky about who I take them to. Recently one of my dogs had some serious digestive problems and her teeth were in not so great condition so I had to find a good vet fast. I chose to give Bentley a try based on information I found on their website and the fact that it was close to home. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful and has taken such good care of my baby. I will be making appts for my other dog and cat soon. I absolutely love the staff. The fees are maybe a little higher than I have paid elsewhere but honestly, what matters most to me is that I trust them and I know they will take good care of my animals. I tried out another vet not too long ago that was cheaper but I didnt trust them at all. So I will gladly pay a little more for that trust factor. I love that the staff makes sure to answer any questions that you might have, explains everything that needs to be done and gives you estimates up front so there is no misunderstanding. They have more than convenient hours as well which helps a lot. If you are looking for a vet for your babies, you cant go wrong with Bentley.

Very disappointed in the service, diagnosis and attitude of the staff at Bentley Animal Hospital. It is my opinion that our dog was mis-diagnosed on multiple occasions over a 6-8 week period. We went with the medications and treatment prescribed by the staff at Bentley. After a few weeks seeing no improvement we went to an emergency hospital to get another set of eyes on our dog’s condition. We believe the conditions diagnosed by Bentley were likely inaccurate. In addition, we believe the medication prescribed by Bentley more than likely negatively affected a known, existing organ challenge we have been dealing with. Finally, very disappointed with the attitude of the staff when we attempted to discuss the process they went through to diagnose the issue. Will no longer recommend to family or friends.

I always get the best service and quality advice here. They know my dogs and care about them.. One of my labs made it 15 and a half years and Dr. Reiter was the Vet the whole time. What I appreciate most is that you recieve solid advice and reasons for any reccommendation. There are times when you need to spend a litte to protect your animal and it is nice to know why. He is very compassionate too. He once came out to euthanize my dog when she was hit by a car. It happened right in front of me and I couldnt deal with getting her to the office while she was in so much distress. he didnt think twice. I am sure he is busy too and cant do that for everyone, but it meant so much that he cared that much and she died compassionately. I will always go there.

Brian Reiter is not only a veterinarian, he is my friend. He is my friend because of the wonderful way he is taking care of my animals in the last 15 to 20 years. My yellow lab, Chancellor, was treated as if he were Dr Reiters own dog. He diagnosed our other dog and even utilized the CDC and Atlanta 25 that she had e.coli in her uterus. Although expensive, due to the surgery post operative care, he saved her life. I would go to know other a veterinarian then Dr Brian Reiter. I cannot wait to see the new clinic that they are building and look forward to my next visit. He is truly a genuine individual, cares for your animals, and will call you back even late at night if there is a problem. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Bentley Animal Hospital.

Dr.Reiter and his staff are wonderful caring and amazing. They cared for our lab Smokey until his passing and now rhey are taking care my new labs Mater and Lucy. I would not trust the care of my girls to anyone else. Also when we lost our Smokey they took the time out of their busy schedules to personally signed a beautiful card for us with the Rainbow Bridge poem. They know what they are doing and just dont want to make money from you. They really care about you and your pets. Sincerely The ODELLS.

They really care about animals. On my first appointment I somehow goofed and came in with 2 cats that needed to be neutered. Dr. Reiter saw my cats anyway so that I would not have to make a trip back. They get you in quick yet they are through and caring. The staff is excellent as well. The new office is awesome and so clean. Also, Bentley cares about the over population of cats and dogs and gives much of their time and support for them. This office is an asset to the community and I am glad I found them.

Dr. Reiter has been taking care of our dog for almost 14 years now. He goes above and beyond to make sure she stays healthy. She has suffered from several illnesses where she almost died, but with Dr. Reiters care and diagnostic skills, she has pulled through to reach a comfortable old age. He always makes himself accessible and is very caring. We have had nothing but good experiences with him and his whole staff. They are friendly, professional and competent.

Ive been taking my dogs to Bentley Animal Hospital ever since I moved to St Louis in 1993. The staff has always been friendly, patient, loving, and compassionate towards the animals in their care. It is obvious that Dr. Reiter loves his work. You can tell by the way he interacts with both the animals and their owners. I have total trust in Dr. Reiter and his staff and wouldnt think of taking my pets to any other veterinarian.
