DONT GO HERE, UNEDUCATED, ER STAFF. I went to this emergency room last night (February 1, 2016) for the first time. I am nine months pregnant and was having extreme right arm pains and numbness that lasted for 45 minutes at this point. I didnt even want to go the hospital but my doctor told me to go and just get checked out to make sure my vitals and heart were okay especially because I am nine months peegnant, past my due date. Once my husband and I arrived We waited about 10 minutes after telling the lady what was going on and why I was here. Finally, A guy took me back for my vitals and as he was taking my blood pressure on my hurt LEFT arm!!! He proceeded to ask me why I was here. At this point I was ready to scream because the pressure from the machine was killing my left arm that was already in tremendous pain. He proceeded to tell me that he was sorry, he claimed he doesnt read anything on the computers til he gets back there (really?). He didnt tell me whether everything looked okay, nothing, just took my vitals and said we will call you when we have a room ready. I waited there for two hours, finally my husband asked if they could give me a ekg, considering that was the main concern the doctor had that told me to go get checked out. The nurse told my husband left arm pain isnt a sign of a heart attack.?!?!? ( where the hell did you go to school at?) but I will get an order for you together to get a ekg set up. So my husband and I waited so more. The nurses were sitting eating pizza and ice cream right there at the front desk. After watching this and waiting another half hour, and being 9 months pregnant and completely uncomfortable, I had my husband ask them the status on the ekg. The guy eating was like oh she dont have an order for one ( as he is eating a pizza) then he turns to her and she was like uhhh yah we can do one! Enraged!!! I was done with this game, I got up and asked for the paper to sign and left, the guy said as I was signing the paper, if you have any more symptoms....I cut him off and said I will be going somewhere else. I will never be back here for an emergency!!! Beware these people at the front desk are uneducated and not professional by no means!!!!!!!

Guys, Alert: Avoid them all there.!!!Nasty hospital, horrible reception nurse in fenton and poor doctor. See below: My wife and I first time went there on Thanksgiving Day when my wife fell off that day from riding a horse. we went there for her appointment several times with doctor Mark Patrillion, his nurse Beggie accidentally turned the pin all the way around on my wifes two broken fingers(((said the pin inserted in the point finger all the way into the middle part from damnly tip, was to help growing finger bone. while not work at all since two months ago. Yes, two months ago, now))), and act like not big deal and said oh, it is ok, it can turn, Gosh, if you know wifes pain level was in 8,9 from 1 to 10 everyday. You must know what you are doing,. Until I ask her to stop, she then have to get Doc Mark himself to put a stupid thing on.!! The surgery from doctor Mark Patrolling did not do any good, not at all. Even last time when we were there, he was trying to recommend my wife to see one of his more experienced coworker. You know when you are not confident and not know what you are doing, other people can sense it from the way you talking.Only tons of wooooozie stuff keep coming out from her two fingers. we have to met new doctor from SLU. The about 50 year old reception lady who got a glasses on, every time we walk in she never look at you, some times she stares at you and acts like she lost her kids or she hates her horrible job, or we are there to borrow their money but too poor to qualify....I dont want to complain doctor, he did his best, just lack of experience.. My whole house was not in function, and now we went to see SLU doctors, they have to and did amputate my wifes index fingers top part off since its two months infected.....My wife is a Christian, not wanna put these type of negative stuff on this hospital, but I have to see,Sucker SSM.... Veryyyyyy nightmare place, avoid SSM!!!!!!

I hate to write a bad review about this hospital as my family and I have always had a good experience with the doctors and nurses at this facility. Earlier this year, my primary care physician sent me to St. Clare to have a colonoscopy to rule out cancer. Procedure went fine and Dr. Aymerich was great. My insurance covers colonoscopy 100%. A couple weeks later I received bills from St. Clare totaling $1000. I contacted my insurance company who said that the doctors office had coded my procedure incorrectly as "general surgery." I contacted St. Clare and spoke to 3-4 different people with no luck. Finally the ladies in my primary care physicians office were able to talk to Stephanie at Dr. Aymerichs office who said she would correct the coding. She called me just to verify my family history of Colon Cancer and told me she would get it corrected. I thought everything was taken care of and then a month later get a new bill, showing colonoscopy as my procedure, but with the same amount due and a notice they were sending me to collections! I reluctantly paid the bill to avoid a hit to my credit while I continue to work with them to get it corrected. I talked to my insurance company today and they told me to call St. Clare and have them resubmit it with the corrected coding. I just called and was informed that not only is it still not coded as a colonoscopy months later (now coded as gastro endoscopy?), but now that I paid the balance, my account is closed and so they cannot resubmit to the insurance company. Its a shame that I will no longer be visiting this hospital or any other SSM facility ever again. I have always had great experiences with the doctors and nurses, but the support staff has ruined me on this place. I even emailed Ellis Hawkins the President of St. Clare in an attempt to get this rectified and didnt even get a response. All of this over $1000.

We have suffered through 2 inpatient hip surgeries and one outpatient foot surgery. The first hip surgery the doctor was great it was the inpatient staff that were non existent and when they did show up there was an attitude, then the foot surgery outpatient my foot was cut open and the tendon cut I was expected to walk out of the hospital with a nerve block and still dizzy from anesthesia with no crutches no boot yes I am serious they finally got me crutches but seriously isnt that common sense? And our 3rd and final attempt to have them redeem themselves they failed miserably my husband had his hip replaced and day one of his stay was good but it was all downhill from there, the 2nd day I arrived at 9:30 to see him it was not until 1:30 that I finally saw his nurse even the care partner was non existent so we called the charge nurse after that the nurse in question had a huge condescending attitude and the tech was in ghost mode neither of them said sorry and the nurse had the audacity to blame me the visitor for not finding her , well I had to track down other people to empty his urinals that were over flowing and get him water to drink she was nowhere to be found she was at fault because there is a thing called nursing rounds and it was her responsibility to check on him and make sure his needs were being met in terms of care isnt that what SSM preaches "exceptional patient care"? Clearly this nurse skipped that lesson she was awful and then to blame others for her poor attitude and patient care is just unacceptable I will be writing letters and making phone calls too because if my husband did not have me there who knows what would have happened? We will not be back there are other hospitals with better ratings to choose in the future should the need arise
