I love the staff and the physician but their billing department is awful. So heres the story and oh this makes me so aggravated...somehow they billed my old insurance instead of my current insurance that I provided them with at the appointment. & I had gotten married a month prior and I figured the insurance switch would be all hunky dory by then. Well apparently it wasnt because my old insurance paid and then disputed and got it back. Then Sunflowers billing department billed my current and correct insurance and they denied it because I guess it showed the claim was paid from my old insurance. Now Sunflower debited my account $304 and I have to sit on that until my old insurance gets my current insurance a cancellation letter. Not to mention all of the time I have spent on the phone trying to get THEIR mistake fixed. Oh and also they told me on the phone that they had tried to call me about it and sent me statements. I looked at my phone records and there were no calls from them. So apparently someone lied and I only received one statement and then 2 weeks after getting it they automatically debited my account per there "financial agreement" as they told me on the phone. Totally ridiculous! Update 4/25/17: I am still dealing with this. Some of my claims have been reprocessed but after speaking with my insurance company they told me they did not even receive all of the claims initially. I called Sunflowers billing dept and Karen told me she had processed them but she will process again. They have been dishonest with me about contacting me so I do not have faith that they had filed the claims in the first place. And if I may add, Karen at the billing department is completely rude and unprofessional. You do not tell a customer that it is there fault for not following up with their insurance company after receiving denial notices from them. Now it might have been different and I would have taken full responsibility if Sunflowers billing dept had in fact called me and had sent me more than one bill but they did not despite what their records showed. I have decided while Dr. Rudloff and the office staff are great, I can not be a part of a dishonest organization. I will find a different physician to treat my daughters eczema.

I was decently happy with my Dr. but felt too much pressure to just spend more money. They are a bit forceful with their referral program which was the first indication that they really liked my money. The procedure that I had done, after a second opinion, seemed almost too much for my condition which again made me feel as if they just wanted to make more money. The final straw was that as I was checking out, Dr. Matthys pulled aside the woman who was helping me and told her, literally right in front of my face, "When a patient asks you if they should purchase a kit, you are to tell them that the DOCTOR has recommended it. Not that we recommend it or that you recommend it. They will never purchase it then. They need to hear the DOCTOR recommends it to make the sale". She finished my transaction very embarrassed for all of us. It was awkward and completely unprofessional.

So I am 27 and started seeing minor creases in between my brows. I am vain, ok. So I went to Sunflower and got 25 units of Botox. 3 weeks later, my face began to "unthaw". So, I called a few places and actually went to another dermatologist and was told that NO WAY was my face injected with 25 units of normal Botox. So, I pulled out my receipt, where I was billed for 25 units of Botox. The dermatologist laughed and said it was definitely overdiluted, as some places do to increase revenue. Long story short, that was 3 months ago. I got another round of Botox- and my face would only hold 16 units- that day and my face is still frozen and looks great, no thanks to Sunflower. To top it off, when I called to ask Dr. Matthys, he was very rude and called me a liar, after his trailer trash staff passed me around for 20 minutes on hold. NEVER AGAIN!

Cannot speak highly enough of Sunflower. I was suffering from a combination of minor skin conditions which had steadily worsened over the course of several years to the point where I refused to go out in public some days. Each and every day was stress about whether a flareup would occur, and how bad itd be. Several visits to GPs had yielded no help...then I saw Dr. Rudloff. He was the first to actually sit down, look me in the eye, and LISTEN. I had one thorough visit, and six months later my skin looks better than it has in ten years. Dont suffer like I did...go see Dr Rudloff.

I was please with the employees and the service I received while at the doctors office. My appointment was for 8:20, but I didnt see the doctor until 9:30. Over an hour late. When I checked out I was told there would be no CoPay. Then two weeks later without warning nor sending a bill for services, a $125.00 charge was automatically deducted from my checking account. I should have been told of that charge at the time of the visit or at the very least received a bill to pay. I will not be going back for my follow up appointment.

I am a patient of Dr. Mesners and have been for several years. She is kind and thorough and always performs my skin checks with the utmost respect and care. I had a melanoma removed and she did a wonderful job with the excision and healing. My only complaint is that it does take a lot of waiting in the waiting room for your appointment. My typical wait has been 40minutes to and hour after my appointment time. That could definitely be better, but the staff and everyone is very friendly and Dr. Mesner is the best.

Dr. Matthys was great and his office is a well-oiled machine! Instead of the usual, boring wait, Brandon (an office assistant) gave me an office tour and showed me all the procedures, etc. they offer. I also received a complimentary gift bag since it was my first time visiting (and the cookies are amazing!). I would recommend Dr. Matthys to anyone, no matter how big or small the issue may be.

Nice people, but like other reviews, Im not happy about money being pulled from my bank account without notice or my permission, creating an overdraft. I too will not being going back. They made me feel like I cant be trusted to pay my bill. I am an adult and I always pay my bills.

Sunflower has the most patient-centered, competent physicians and nurses Ive ever known. They are skilled and compassionate, welcoming and down-to-earth. Their staff from billing to reception to aestheticians (especially Allie!) are top-rate! I recommend them without hestitation!
