Need a GREAT doctor STOP HERE I started seeing Dr. Muthaiah after being assigned to him in 2008 when I was admitted to Spring Valley hospital for diverticulitis. Quiet, kind, and a sense of humor,a little dry, thats what it took to keep my petulant attitude [ I dont need to be here I can take care of myself at home] in check, and keep me where I belonged for a week. Ive seen Dr. Muthaiah every 4 to 6 months for the last 5 years. Whenever I complain about a pain or an ache he makes sure I get tested, most tests happen right in the office, and then treated with fast efficiency and any medication or treatments I might need. I feel as though I can ask any question and I can participate in my own health care instead of feeling like just getting patted on the head and given drugs that I dont understand and sent on my way. I was most impressed however, just recently, when I was looking for a geriatric doctor for my mother, who stays with me 6 months of the year. I had looked everywhere and couldnt even find a geriatric doctor in the Las Vegas area. My mom was in a lot of pain due to osteoporsis that caused acute compression fractures of several vertibrae. He treated my mom with such respect, he validated the extreme pain she was in and relieved her pain right away. He scheduled surgery and within 2 weeks she out of bed and walking around the house again. He even got her to take calcium, which she hates. So if youre looking for a new caring, on the ball doctor with an office staff to match check out Dr. Ramanathan Muthaiiah at Canyon Medical Center.

Do not go to this place. I have been here twice and do not plan on going ever again. The waiting room smells like mold and there was a homeless man hanging out there just watching tv. The front desk women are really stupid. I have had to call almost 10 times to get a change of prescription. The Dr. prescribed me an antibiotic that is not even manufactured anymore. When Walgreens alerted them about this, they sent another prescription of the same medication in tablet form. HELLO?!?!? Walgreens told them its no longer manufactured. The front desk people are lazy and when they answer the phone they are either laughing or have an attitude with you. Every time I have called they never answer my questions. They just tell me they will call me back and of course they never call me back. I have been sick with a stomach infection for 3 days now and still dont have the medication because the staff cant communicate in a timely manner with me or my pharmacy. Do not waste your money here. This medical center has a very unprofessional staff and dirty office.

I recently changed Drs. due to insurance issues. I am so grateful that I did. I have been suffering for over 3 years with chronic and severe nerve pain, to the point of being bed ridden. I was previously diagnosed with a rare spinal cord disease. Prior to seeing Dr Muthaiah, my Dr had to GOOGLE what the disease entailed. When I first met Dr. Muthaiah, I told him what I had been diagnosed with and he instantly knew what it was, he seemed surprised as it is not a usual diagnosis, I was so thankful he knew what it was and how to move forward. Its been 4 months and I finally have no pain after 3 years of living in daily high levels of pain. I feel like a real person again. His followup has been amazing as well. THANK YOU !

I just would like to thank Dr. Muthaiah and his wonderful office staff again for taking such great care of my dad. Everyone there is always so pleasant and helpful that they put my dad at ease, making a very stressful situation into a pleasant experience. Dr. Muthaiah always take time to explain very carefully so my dad can understand fully. The office girls return phone calls promptly. And if I have a question that needs the Drs. attention they get right back to me. They are very professional and it is a pleasure going there. I would have no problem referring Dr. Muthaiah to anyone that is looking for an excellent Doctor.

Dr. Muthaiah became our primary care physician after my husband had a heart-attack scare over 4 years ago. We moved here from MN and one of our main concerns was finding a primary care physician that would take care of us in a personal way and know our health concerns. Dr. Muthaiah is a very professional, competent and caring health care provider. He is a great diagnostician and when a specialist has been needed, he has referred us to other great doctors here in the valley. We fully trust him with our health care and have and will continue to refer him to friends and neighbors.

I visited Dr. Muthaiah in January of 2013 for a common cold. Due to his professionalism and perseverance, it was discovered that I had a life threatening situation, an aortic aneurism. He then referred me to a vascular surgeon who performed an operation to repair the aneurism. If it were not for Dr. Muthaiahs experience and knowledge, I could have died. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Muthaiah. I will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone for any reason. If he does not have the answer, he will recommend you to his network of outstanding doctors.

We moved to Las Vegas 10yrs ago. and sorry to say that we have been through several GPs. All I can say is thank God I found Canyon Medical Center, Dr. Muthaiah, and his staff they are all excellent!!! Dr. Muthaiah is extremely efficient and leaves no stones unturned. You can see the compassion in him and the passion he has in himself about his work, which made my husband and I have the confidence we want in our Doctor. And the staff is always pleasant, kind, and courteous! Thanks so much Canyon Medical Center we love and appreciate you!!!
