Just a few months after moving to Las Vegas from Colorado, we learned our White Shepard had a tumor in his stomach. As big as he was He had been though a lot of surgeries so our baby was afraid of doctors. The doctor who informed us of his tumor wanted to open him up and maybe he would last a few more days. We left that place in tears and I spent the rest of the day and night looking up Nevada vets who would come to our home and put our baby to rest. Sunset Eastern was an answer to our prayers, they immediately said yes to our request and came to our home that same afternoon. They explained the process and advised us of things that may occur before he went to sleep. They even waited while I feed him the last of four pounds of ham and ice water. My husband and I spoke to our baby as he went to sleep in the most peaceful way. When they pronounced him gone, we cried in each others arms and the staff at Sunset gave us our time alone with him. They handled all the arrangements of his cremation. He was returned in the most beautiful box with his name engraved and the certificate that came with his ashes contained a flock of his fur. That was two years ago and now it is time for his sister to join him. She too will have her ham and ice water before leaving for Rainbow Bridge. We would not allow anyone but Sunset to help her with her journey. God Bless these wonderful people.

I discovered Sunset Eastern by fluke - there was an add in the 89074 magazine with discounted rates for spaying/neutering - and since I was new to the area, decided to give it a go. Honestly, it has been one of the best decisions that I have ever made. The staff is always extremely courteous - they make a genuine effort to get to know you and your pets, and are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I have a husky puppy that suffers from a ridiculously sensitive stomach, and there have been several occasions where I have desperately needed an appointment, and the staff and vets have worked to accommodate me. Since my puppy is like my child, having a veterinary clinic that I trust is very important to me. I feel incredibly grateful to have discovered Sunset Eastern, because I know that my little Luka is in good hands. I will definitely be a client of Sunset Eastern for life. They have only ever shown me that their priority is my pets well-being, and my peace of mind.

Kendra is amazing! My 8 year old Great Dane was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (congestive heart failure) in November. Thanks to Kendra and their team of vets my dog is enjoying the later stages of his life. He was able to see Christmas and have his 8th birthday! He is on various medications however he is still eating, drinking, playing, loving, walking, and doing all the same things he did before his diagnosis. I have raised this dog since a puppy and would gladly give my life for him if it were possible. The care and concern they have shown my dog is outstanding and Im truly grateful to have such well knowledge people looking out for him . I dont know if he would be alive it if it wasnt for their assistance and of course my wallet! 5 Stars recommendation times a million.

"WARNING WARNING" AVOID (this animal hospital )they claimed to hospitalize my $2400 Havanesse then left the dog 14 hours unattended the next morning called me that my dog was dead i had already paid them $180 for wrong first diagnosis and drugs " USELESS" another $350 for so called hospitalization now they sent me a bill another $350 I asked for detail chronological methods and procedures that were done for my dog they keep sending me same bill i also found they charged me for procedures i did not authorize either .. THIS ESTABLISHMENT CARES MORE ABOUT YOUR MONEY THAN YOUR DOG ,,, DO NOT GO THERE ,,, I am filling a complaint with authorities to investigate them

Garcia was my best friend for 18 years - the decision to put her down the Monday before Christmas was one of the hardest of my life. Since her regular veterinarian did not offer mobile euthanasia, I contacted Sunset Animal Hospital. Dr. Reed and her assistant treated my very sick little kitty with a humbling amount of respect and compassion from the moment they walked in our door - as if shed been a lifelong patient of the clinic. Dr. Reed is an angel as far as Im concerned. My ONLY regret is that I didnt find Sunset when we moved to Las Vegas 5 years ago.

We were visiting from out if town and our dog was having heart and breathing issues. The staff was overly helpful. The staff was super friendly. They explained what was going on and how to best help our Dog. They gave us methods to help calm and sooth our dog. Within minutes the dog was calm and breathing better. I would recommend them if you are a resident , but if you are visiting on vacation definitely see them. They will make your vacation go smooth and you and your pet will feel like your home.

The staff & Vets are amazing and listen to your concerns and issues. They seem to genuinely care for your animals and want them to be in the best health possible. They also have a wonderful group of groomers that leave your pet looking movie star ready and the pricing is very reasonable compared to many other places. We have been going to this location for about 2 years and love them. Thanks Sunset Eastern Animal Hospital for great service and commitment to the pet family community!

I only wish that they were located closer to the NW Summerlin area. Other than that, no complaints! Excellent staff (polite, efficient, and sincere), and Dr. Reed is no exception. She is incredibly knowledgeable and demonstrates patience while giving clear explanations. She gave me advice on how to work with my dog more effectively and recommended the most amazing book: "How to Behave So Your Dog Behaves" by Dr. Sophia Yin.

I wasnt sure after seeing the reviews here, but a friend from work referred me here, he takes his two dogs and cat here so I figured Id try. He was right they are good, a little pricey, not to much, but worth it. I would rather pay a little more than go somewhere cheap but bad service. I only have a cat and he was treated like a rock star LOL. Give them a try your self, thats the best way.

they were the best they really care fo my pets not just cuz my mother worked there but they care bout every bodys pets they did every thing to try to save a pet from passing and all the doctors there are great and they r really nice friendly and patient they care a whole lot so if ya have a peti would recammend you to take them to Sunset Eastern Animal Hospital

Bronx our Boston terrier, was fightimg ear infection after ear infection, vets back home would not take the time to figure out what was wrong.Dr grantz did, she had him figured or one the first visit. very nice, very kind, love this place we have a new addition to our family.chef our cat, he meets Dr grant z today.:-)
