There are no words to express the gratitude I have for Dr. Doub and her Vet techs Mika and Marsha. My dogs and I have been fortunate enough to have Dr. Doub in our lives for a few years now. She has always been very kind, passionate and most of all honest with us about the health and well-being of our family. Malibu (our yellow lab) has had a life long battle with allergies and instead of treating them with meds (as all our other vets advised), Dr. Doub went out of her way to create a menu for Malibu that I was able to make for her instead of filling her body with VERY expensive medication!!! Thank you Dr. Doub! Its amazing when a vet offers you OPTIONS other than a "quick and easy" fix. Unfortunately, after 14 amazing years, I had to make the most DIFFICULT decision of my life, letting Malibu go. I had tried NEVER to envision this day, but when when I did, I imagined a very awkward and horrific experience. I never wanted to "take" my baby to be "put down" in an animal hospital where I was unable to hold her or make her feel at ease. FORTUNATELY.... I never had to experience that. Dr. Doub and her staff came to my family in our time of need. We were able to stay by Malibus side in the comfort of our own home until the very end. I have never had anyone be so patient with me in such a difficult time. Dr.Doub, Mika and Marsha, Thank you so much, from every inch of our hearts. Malibu LOVED coming to see all of you on her visits and we appreciate you taking care of her and treating her with the utmost respect through the very end. Thanks to all of you, I was able to make the most humane decision for my best friend and you were able to grant me the wish of being at home with her while we gave her peace. And thank you for making all of the arrangements for afterward as well. Malibu is at home with us once again and we truly cant thank you all enough for your love and commitment to our pets. THANK YOU, Kristy, Gary, Oakley and Malibu

Communication is atrocious, and integrity is non existent. We were quoted over the phone by a girl named Meisha, who claims to have directly asked the vet, for a specific blood test to be done. After calling probably 100 different clinics throughout the valley, we chose to come here, because not only was their price just a little less than everywhere else, the reviews seemed favorable. When we brought our little puppy in and had the test performed, the test price doubled (this test is already in the hundreds of dollars to begin with). They didnt care that they had quoted us on a completely different price before we booked an appointment, and they charged us this overwhelmingly outrageous rate. Even the most prestigious vets in the valley charged a good $100 less that they did. Furthermore, they said the would contact us when they received confirmation when this blood test was delivered (should have been an overnight delivery). Four days later and we just called in and had to ask for this confirmation. (No apologies given for any of their mistakes) We just relocated to Hawaii, and there is a very strict process to get your pets here. The time frame with the different tests that have to be performed are EXTREMELY particular, and we made that very clear to them throughout this process. We are disgusted that they would not only double the price on us after the test was done, but they lacked all respect for our requests and concerns. We have very specific travel arrangements that we have to purchase and plan around getting our sweet puppy here with us, and their unapologetic and disrespectful mistakes have not only made this process prolonged, but makes them undeserving of even a one star review.

Sorry long review: all in all amazing prices, most incredible vet I have ever worked with, great staff, very nice office and we were able to get in on short notice. We are definitely make this our new regular vet. Details: We had a horrible situation come up with our dog. He got really sick and we needed to get him into our regular vet and couldnt get him in cause they are always packed (Animal Cracker). These guys were awesome! They open at 7am we gave them a call and told them our dog had eaten something and probably needed surgery. They told us to come right in. The Vet, Dr. Doub was amazing, I have literally never admired or been so thankful to someone before. She sat and talked with us for a while and gave our dog lots of attention and talked us through everything. She tried everything possible to not have to do surgery (tried flushing it out with IV fluids first) but unfortunately he had eaten something and it got caught. It was very well priced! (The Pet ER wanted to charge triple the amount.) She didnt charge us for half the x-rays that were taken. She also texted us updates on him! I hate talking on the phone so that rocked. She even texted us after hed been home a few days to find out how he had been doing at home.

The staff has been friendly and courteous for the most part. I did have one staffer get pretty impatient that I didnt respond to her text immediately. It has also been very difficult to dissuade them from asking me repeatedly to do optional procedures. I decided to get a blood panel for my dog, they told me I should buy dog food from them and gave me something that read more like a sales brochure than real clinical information. They told me Id need a follow up and didnt say anything about cost. I probably shouldnt have assumed the follow up was included in the original cost. Guess what, I didnt buy their food, I didnt change anything, but the dogs condition had improved and since then, every few months, they tell me to come in for another follow up and I cant get them to stop contacting me for these optional procedures. You know, I get it... you need money to keep the lights on, but this is ruining my trust in you as medical professionals when it seems like your primary goal is sales.

Our house trusts Union Park Veterinary Hospital above everyone else! Dr. Doub is proactive, sincere and makes us feel that our dogs are her only clients! She and her staff go above and beyond to ensure our needs are always met. Mika, Marsha and Bridget are consistently thoughtful and caring towards our 5 dogs, one of which is special needs and requires an individual touch. We also have a fearful Pit Bull Terrier mix whose trust Dr. Doub has taken the time to gain. We especially love that UPVH offers communication through text and email, and that they are so heavily involved with Utahs animal rescue community. After moving to Salt Lake City from Houston, we went through several vets and were thrilled to have finally found THE ONE! We wouldnt trust anyone else, and have referred many of our friends. If youre looking for a lifetime Veterinarian, go there one time - youll see the difference!

I love Union Park! Dr. D is amazing and so are the staff! Ive had my pets at a different vet for years, and have swapped all 5 of my pets to she and her staff, because she is that amazing! Weve been visiting her for the past two years and plan to continue for years to come! Im surprised and saddened to see a couple low scores of this place. Ive had only positive experiences. I feel that she and the vet techs love my pets just as much as I do! (I had to put one of my dogs down this year due to age related health problems, and she brought him a sausage she had cooked up just for him, for his last meal! What other vet would do that?! Shes amazing!) Im also excited to see such young, fresh faces in this industry to help educate me about proper necessities for my pets! Whether it be food, medical procedures, etc... We love you guys!!!
