I didnt really care for this vet at all. I honestly choose them because of there hours and they were actually opened on sundays at the west haven clinic. My 7 year old golden retriever had gotten really sick. I assume it was a brain tumor at this point. He went downhill pretty fast having seizures about 7 months before he passed. I was constantly at this vet sometimes even a few times a week. No one ever remembered me, we always saw someone different. Very unpersonal, and thousands of dollars later I went in to talk to a vet to ask her opinion if i should put my dog down. They charged me a full office visit which felt like a smack in the face after how many times I had been in there. I never was cheap I did all the tests they recommended and even asked to retest for the things he was tested for at the Animal ER just to make sure. I was so happy to find a place to have him put down when he could no longer walk. They were so sweet and personal there and they remembered me when I walked in to pick up his paw print. In my mind I think a vet clinic needs to be personal and understand whats going on with you pet.

Today my mother and I had to take our cat from hell in because we believed she had been hit by a car. The vet just walked in the room stated a bunch of prices and "ifs", didnt even seem to care much and was very rushed with a "whatever" attitude towards our cat from hell. Once we had decided the best option for us, we had Makayla come in. She was the sweetest girl who you could just tell she puts part of her heart in her work. We talked to her, she got to know us, explained every detail of how and when to give her medicine, helped us give our cat her first dose of medicine and even offered her help to get our very agitated cat back into our car! We expressed how amazing she was to her, but I also want you guys to know! Weve been going here for years with animals and never felt that kind of compassion or kindness from someone! Youre awesome Makayla and we appreciate you!

My in-laws boarded their dog here for a week while we all went on vacation. When they dropped him off, they were very specific in telling the gal that he needs his ears cleaned and checked as they had been a bit red and he has a history of ear infections. She wrote it down in his file and forgot about it. When we called on our way to pick him up, no one knew about his situation, but they had the vet check and he did indeed have an ear infection. So the poor thing had sat, in boarding which is stressful enough, in pain from an ear infection that should have been detected and treated MUCH sooner.

This vet literally did everything they could to rescue you my dog that had a bowel abstruction. My dog just passed away today because the infection had gotten so severe. However this vet is so amazing that the vet technician Jenny paid for some of my bill and bought a ceramic paw print for me so that my family and I could remember him. This staff is amazing and they always give you that personal connection. They will always be my go to vet no matter what.

It was with great sadness and relief that I had to put my dog Lady down after over 13 years . The staff was not only professional but were compassionate as well and I would like to personally thank them for going the extra mile . They made this time for me as good as it could be , I would recommend this hospital highly to anyone ! as well if I get another pet ? they will be my first choice . Thank you for doing what you do !

Their vets are good with animals, but are hurried. They just tell me services I need to schedule in the future. As far as general exams go, they dont seem to have the time to sit down and get to know me or my dogs. The front desk has some nice ladies, but also a lady who consistently snaps at her coworkers in front of clients. She may have just been having a bad day, but it was quite unprofessional and uncomfortable. :/

Everyone here is friendly and professional...but rushed...like the entire office is stuck in fast forward. I personally prefer a smaller practice with staff who feel like family. Cant say this is where my pet and I belong but i am grateful they do the job right. I guess maybe folks like the fast and furious...but id prescribe tranquilizers and decaffeinated coffee for everyone here.

WEVE TAKEN OUR CHOWS, AND BULLDOGS TO ANIMAL CARE WAY BACK WHEN THE ONLY OFFICE THEY HAD WAS UP NEAR HARMONS, THEY ARE VERY RESPECTFUL, CARING, TREAT OUR ANIMALS AS IF THEY WERE THERE ANIMALS, STAFF, VETS ARE AMAZING, IVE RECOMMENDED THEM TO SEVERAL FRIENDS.. I love them! I had to put my baby down after he was diagnosed with lung cancer. They were sweet, kind, carrying and stayed after hours to give us time to say goodbye. They even waited for my son to arrive before they put my fury baby down! I highly recommend them!

They are amazing!! My dog was in a really bad accident and the vet came in at night and over the weekend to check on him and even let us see him on a Sunday. Just amazing caring people.
