While Dr. Hess and Dr. Malinas were at Community Animal Hospital they took care of our dog and two cats. Weve had to live out of state for the past three years and after moving back to Reno this spring we were happy to learn that they have opened their own clinic. We went to other vets while out of state but we havent found anyone else who has the depth of experience and knowledge, and who stays as current in advances in veterinary care. Our dog and one cat are "elderly" and have had various problems. Drs. Hess and Malinas provide a more thoughtful and careful examination and diagnosis than weve found with most other vets, and they have identified things other vets have missed. They and their staff are warm, friendly and care very much about animals. Were delighted they are back in business and I strongly recommend them.

I wanted to go to a vet closer to our house so took my pup to sage veterinary hospital in sparks to get a check up and yearly shots. To my surprise I was slapped with over an $1800 teeth estimate and felt like the worst pet owner ever when I left. I went to my original Vet afterwords because of how horrible I felt & just to get another opinion and see what was really going on & had a $1200 less estimate for my dogs teeth. I dont know if it was because it was a new Vet or not but it is ridiculous to make people pay for your overhead at your new facility. I will never go back to this establishment no matter how close it is to my house. My dog just got his teeth done completely for $600 compared to the $1800 I was quoted at Sage, thats obviously a $1200 difference & the biggest rip off

This place is amazing! I had tried several times over months to get in touch with my current vet( Baring veterinary clinic) to get my dog in for updated shots and a check up. Not only did they ignore my emails and calls but the could not even find a record that my dog (a patient of theirs of 7 years) had ever been there. Finally fed up, I called Sage and they fit me in same day to get my dog the care he needed and deserved. Sage vet clinic is clean organized and friendly. The veterinarian sat on the floor with him to make him feel more comfortable. They were amazing. My dog has never liked the vet like he liked Sage. They are the best! Thank you for taking care of my baby!

while they did care for my dog I was made to feel like a horrible pet owner in the process. thanks to me the dog that I have has received more vet care her entire life then with her previous owner, yet Im made to seem the bad guy. thanks.

Everyone at Sage Veterinary is caring. Each of them treats my moms dog as if she were her own. Both Dr. Hess and Dr. Kelly treat the patient and the parent with kid gloves. They are so caring and wonderful, as are their entire staff.
