Roberto Buccianti
I am Roberto Buccianti, a patient of David Feniger. I work overseas as a contractor. The most recent injury occurred in Africa in 2008 where I was on assignment. I had a freak accident that broke my neck and damaged my lower back; resulting in an ongoing marathon of successive surgeries to correct the damage to my spine. To be more exact: six surgeries that included a two level fusion of my neck, a laminectomy, a three level fusion of my lower back , a two level fusion of my lower back (front), a repeat three level fusion of my lower back due to hardware breakage, and finally a four level fusion of my neck. It was the last two surgeries that are the most noteworthy, as they involved David’s direct intervention, which without, I believe that I would have been paralyzed. In December 2015 I had a three level fusion of my lower back and was in my third month of physical therapy, when David started noticing that my left leg was in a state of having partially atrophied. Additionally, I couldn’t get rid of the pain in my leg. David immediately advised me to call Dr. Naseef (my orthopedic surgeon) to describe the symptoms. David didn’t wait (he knows how stubborn I can be and how I have an uncanny tolerance for pain) he spoke to Dr. Naseef directly and they collectively insisted that I go see him the next day. The resulting X-ray showed clearly that two screws and one of the rods had broken; therefore, an immediate surgery was scheduled. I was operated in early July 2016, and thank God for that. Immediately after the corrective surgery I could feel the difference; most of the pain was gone, and I started physical therapy with David three months later. During the second week of physical therapy, I started having pain in my neck. At first it seemed that it could be a pinched nerve, which I treated through a number of topical applications, and then injections; the relief was temporary. I told you I was stubborn: instead of going to see Dr. Naseef, I went on a business trip to Washington D.C. (I drove) and did some site seeing with my spouse. The pain intensified and I was having trouble with my left arm. After Labor Day I resumed physical therapy. David came to start the session, however, as I was complaining that I was losing strength in my left arm, he conducted a strength test and immediately stopped the session. David then called Dr. Naseef in front of me. After a brief exchange Dr. Naseef instructed me go to Morristown Hospital emergency for admission. The following day I had an emergency four level fusion; it was September 2016. When I awoke, Dr. Naseef came to see me and told me how lucky I was because if I had waited even an extra day, I could have been permanently paralyzed. I am convinced that in both cases David was instrumental in preventing a permanent paralysis that could have ended with being wheel chair bound for life. Dr. Naseef’s skill (he is a great doctor) wouldn’t have been put to good use if it wasn’t for David’s intervention. I didn’t mention this but I have been treated by David, off-and-on, for the last thirty years (e.g. both shoulders and my right hand, in addition to the aforementioned surgeries). I wouldn’t go to any other physical therapist. If you want to get better, are willing to work hard, then there is no-one that I would recommend other than Broadway Physical Therapy and David Feniger. He is a therapist who really cares about his patients and is always willing to go the extra mile to get you well. I don’t want to forget to mention the extremely competent and kind staff that David has working for him; the ambience is friendly and stress free. I have the use of my left arm again, my lower back pain is manageable and can say that to some extent, I am leading an acceptable life that given the circumstances; isn’t all that bad. Thank you David for all the help.

I have Peripheral Neuropathy in my legs for approximately 6 yrs. I am not a diabetic. My Neuropathy is a side effect of another internal medical problem. I struggled with chronic pain in my thighs, calves, knees, ankles and feet. There were bouts of shooting pains, numbness, tingling and trouble walking a straight line. I could not stay on my feet for more than 2 hours. Since attending Broadway Physical Therapy and receiving Anodyne treatments, I no longer feel the aches and pains in my legs. My feet are improving and I am starting to get feeling back in them. I can walk around for longer periods of time without feeling the need to collapse into a chair. I admit I was very skeptical about Anodyne treatments in the beginning, but after having only a handful of treatments, and David Feniger PT pushing and supporting me to do exercises to strengthen my legs, joints, and feet, I am feeling and walking better than I have in the past 6 yrs. I actually enjoy taking a walk again. Even my friends have mentioned that I do not look like I am walking on a bed of needles anymore. They mentioned that my whole posture and stance has changed for the better. I never told them I was going to physical therapy, so that confirmed that the Anodyne treatments and exercise is working. So thanks to David and Broadway Physical Therapy for the Anodyne treatments and rooting me on in treatment. One more thing, I was lucky that the Anodyne treatments were available in my area since the only other place administering the treatment is in New York. Anodyne treatments should be readily available to everyone that suffers from Neuropathy since there is no cure.

This is THE BEST physical and occupational therapy office in NJ. After a complex broken wrist/hand injury, I found them using a google search and am so glad I went there. I can start with Marie, what a pleasant person to be greeted by at the front desk, always remembers me and makes sure im in the book for my next appt. Rachel is the best occupational therapist I have ever met. While being extremely knowlegable and kind, she listens to you and answers all of your questions. If she doesnt know the answer, she takes the time to find out whatever information you may need. She makes sure that I am continuously progressing through my sessions. I have taken a lot longer than expected to heal and get back to normal but she keeps things new and exciting so I stay interested and keep up with my exercises and appointments. David, the owner, is right there side by side with all of his staff helping every patient make sure they get the attention they need for a full recovery. He completely explained what was needed from me to get back to normal, its a slow process for some of us and he gives me the push I need to stay focused. Always asks if I have questions and makes himself available to every patient for advice when the doctors confuse us. After trying out a few therapy offices, I can definitely save you time by telling you to just go to Broadway PT. They have a completely different approach and they know what they are doing.

Lymphedema Specialists: Im truly thankful to have found Broadway Physical Therapy after an extensive search for a practice that combines decades of proven results and experience and a highly competent and compassionate staff. Five months ago, after undergoing 5 consecutive complex surgeries that resulted in a lymphatic leak, my lower leg and foot became swollen and frozen to the point I was dependent on a walker and cane to get around. Everyday I struggled with mobility and the sinking feeling that I may have to live with edema, a limp and compression garments the rest of my life. Under the care of David Feniger, owner and Physical Therapy director, in two short weeks I saw immediate results on the treatment of my lower extremity lymphedema. Swelling has gone down, my joints arent as stiff, and more importantly, I was given the encouragement and confidence to walk on my own again. Week after week, I see vast improvements and I know Im on my way to a promising recovery. Thank you, David and staff, for the awesome work that you all do. Your wisdom, patience, humor and passion for the well-being of your patients are unparalleled. I would recommend your office in a heartbeat!
