About a couple years ago I visited Columbus LTACH for a friend of mine. He had a loved one hospitalized. I went there for support but I wasnt too thrilled. I thought it was a mess and the CEO was very rude and rushed. Lets just say we werent impressed. A few months ago I had to put my loved one in a hospital. I was skeptical but heard Columbus LTACH was under new management. I called and set up an interview/tour with the President. I expressed my concerns and he absolutely understood. Now I.dont about you but can you call a hospital and speak directly to the President? I was already impressed. First off the hospital is very clean and the ambiance felt great. You can feel these workers work as a team and want to help out society. I met with the President, and he gladly gave me a tour of the hospital and answered all my questions. I felt very comfortable and I knew my nana would be safe and her needs kept. I met with the nurses and staff who were all lovely. Ive always heard bad things about nurses because of todays nursing shortage, or how nasty they can be, or ratio issues but I have to admit I didnt see that here. What I appreciated was how the President was and how the team of nurses and staff were. I believe it takes a well respected captain and his crew to work in sync. Working in health care is about being selfless and saving lives. It shouldnt be about not working productively and this is why I chose Columbus LTACH. Fabulous hospital but more over superb management and staff. I will refer this hospital to my friends and families if the choice ever came. And for those who have negative comments, lets be real...who enjoys being in a hospital. We have to understand the other side of it in order to appreciate what our hospitals do for our loved ones. Thank you Columbus LTACH...my family and I are forever grateful!

My Mother Audrey was transferred to Columbus after receiving a stage 4 thyroid cancer diagnosis. She was unable to breath on her own and was on a ventilator for her entire stay. The staff at Columbus was fantastic. We spoke with Doctors, Nurses, CNAs, Respiratory Staff , Case Management, Physical Therapist and Janitorial Staff. Everyone was kind, friendly and understanding . They encouraged my brother and I to call on them for help with any manner we needed help with. My mom only lived for 24 days after admission to this hospital and they made sure she was comfortable for her final days. My brother and I would like to thank nurses Vincent, JoJo, Fabrini, Rosa, Dominique, Anthony and many others names we may have forgotten. Doctors Fatel and DeFazio, Radiologist and Oncologist. They all knew my mother had a short time to live and they gave us just a little more time with her because of their efforts, knowledge, and compassion. So thank you Columbus for helping our family through a most difficult time. Ken and Maureen San Salvadore

I wish to thank the entire staff of Nurses, CNA;s, Respitory therapists, Social worker and other staff members who gave the best care to my son Byron Turner and always made sure he was comfortable and showed compassion at all times. Those Nurses were handpicked by God because they represented angel spirits. Whether present or not you can believe they are providing top notch care. You never smell anything unpleasant and the facility is very clean. You always know who will be caring for your loved one as their name is posted and they are happy to tell you who they are. The care provided is worth every penny of the cost. He passed on February 27, 2013 in Windsor Nursing home. My Heart is hurting but there is solace in knowing he received great care while there.

My grandmother was recently a patient at this hospital. She was on a vent and needed wound care. This hospital had some ups and downs like most do. The respiratory team took care of my grandmother very well despite how busy they are. The wound team and physical therapy were amazing. It looks like they are going through some changes and had some new staff in nursing. The management team was always available to listen to any of my concerns which I appreciated. I was amazed at the amount of patients they have. I guess they must know what they are doing. The place was clean but a bit noisy on the floor that could be due to the amount of patients, other than that I really dont have complaints. I appreciate all they did for my grandmother.

My grandmother is improving greatly at this hospital. However, I wish they would pay better attention to the medial records, and actually knowing the patients history. They also need to improve on listening to the patients family, the family in fact knows the patient needs, and contact the doctor if the the family suspect something is needed or is wrong. In oppose to debating with the family member or dictating policies. They need to stop violating Hippa, and padding bills. They also need to stop falsifying medical records.

Deaths all the time, very unprofessional, some staff are too good of people to be working there, supervisors in position dont know what they are doing and cant handle their position. Very Underpaid staff most people working there are extremely unhappy. I advise any and everyone do not bring or leave your loved ones there.. AT ALL..

I visited Columbus Hospital last week looking into potential places for my grandparents and was very impressed. The staff was very friendly and Knowledgeable and was able to answer the questions I had. I would recommend others to take a look into it and contact them and see if it is a good fit for you or a family member or a friend.

My experience with this hospital has been the worst. Their social worker has been rude ,a liar and very unprofessional. The staff cannot be trusted and our family will have to retain a attorney to straighten things out. Columbus Hospital has made our life living HELL They CANNOT BE TRUSTED

They hit and miss with the care, they pretty much pushed my sister out as the insurance was coming to an end, transferred my sister with a bed sore we were told had healed. Was disappointed, wasnt all that based upon the tour that was given...shop around!

If I could give it a minus rating I would. In 6 weeks, he lost the light in his eyes. They sent him there for physical therapy, but his health started deteriorating rapidly. Found him in his own feces twice. Dont leave your loved one here.

The worst medical office ever. They schedule an apt for 12:30, I spend 3 hours waiting, then they told me to wait for another hour
