One day I found out my family dentist no longer took my insurance, and I was forced to look elsewhere for a new dentist. Luckily for me, elsewhere turned out to be only a block away where I found Dr. Feins. Ten years later, Im still a big fan of Dr. Feins and his constantly evolving practice. ---------- Over the years, Ive been witness to numerous technological upgrades that improve the quality and thoroughness of dental care. There are now TVs in every examination room to help make patients comfortable (or give them something else to focus on other than their dental procedure). All X-Rays are done digitally so the results are instant, and an actionable course of care can be determined right away if necessary. Most recently, they also have a pretty cool panoramic radiograph machine (Google it if youre unsure of what it is). ---------- Aside from the smart application of technology, the people in Dr. Feins office are top-quality. All of the hygienists are all skilled and friendly (and I think over the years I have had cleanings performed by every one). If you are a super-relaxed dental patient like me, exams and procedures go smooth and fast. If you are not, then extra care and communication are the norm. I even brought my children to Dr. Feins at age 2 to begin receiving dental care -- no need to bother with a gimmicky child dentist when the atmosphere and staff are this good. I am confident that my kids will grow up without fear of the dentist. ---------- Then there is Dr. Feins himself. Intelligent, personable and persistent in delivery of quality care. I had a pretty massive amalgam filling that dated back to the mid 80s. The day it cracked, a cavity was found underneath. Dr. Feins recommended a porcelain onlay to not only rebuild the fractured tooth, but to give it a normal tooth appearance again, so we went ahead with that. Unfortunately, my exceptionally strong bite broke the onlay! So Dr. Feins redid it, assuming that the original must have been inferior. And I broke it again. He was stunned, never having an only break twice for any patient before, but he wasnt out of ideas. The solution? Good old fashioned dental gold -- not as pretty as the porcelain, but malleable, strong and time-tested. Success! And my kids love my "pirate tooth". ---------- Dr. Feins practice has so many happy patients, youll want to schedule your checkups well in advance (of course this doesnt apply to emergency visits, for which he is exceptionally accommodating, but I digress). Fortunately, once you get in for the first visit, subsequent scheduling turns out to be no problem. After every routine visit, a new one is scheduled six-months in advance. Afraid youll forget your date? Not a chance! First you get a tooth-shaped appointment reminder cards. Later, you get a postcard reminder. Lastly, automated emails, voice mails and even texts are sent out well in advance to spark your memory. ---------- But what about the inevitable "bad times" that sometimes occur? Well, there was one time I wound up getting billed for something that was supposed to be covered by my insurance company, but turns out wasnt. Needless to say I was quite unhappy. However, initial frustrations led to civil conversations and Dr. Feins took the time to figure a way to work things out in a reasonable manner so neither one of us would get short-changed. This was a pretty classy move in my humble opinion, and a key part of doing good business. ---------- So in conclusion, what can I say? Dr Feins and his staff are consummate professionals who are really good at what they do, and they do it with a sense of humility and a nice, clean smile.

As usual a great visit, very pleasant office/home environment. Clerical dept. very pleasant upon arrival and helpful with account information, and next appointment scheduling, Dental Hygienist Katie, very sweet and thorough, from the X-rays to the actual cleaning/polishing. Dr Feins followed up and looked over everything, and explained what was going on, and set up a plan of attack for the outstanding issues in my mouth. I really hate going to the Dentist, but going to Dr. Edward Feins, and all his associates, it makes it so easy and relaxing. Highly recommended practice!!!! Also had a tooth extracted around the Christmas holiday, by Dr Allison Gordon, another great dentist at this office, she had my aching, cracked tooth out in about 10 minutes, bandaged up, and on my way in no time. followed up next day with a phone call on my progress, yet another great experience, and yes, believe it or not, it is possible when going to the dentist. Thanks again for caring about your patients!!!!

ABSOLUTE BEST EXPERIENCE WITH A DENTIST IN 50 YEARS! Expertise in state of the art equipment, thorough, compassionate and patience galore. I am extremely phobic after many horrific Dentists in my life and I am thankful to have found him and his team and cannot say enough to encourage you to start a relationship with him. I had found myself in dire need of major dental work, after ignoring a gum infection, and teeth coming loose for months that I had hoped would just go away. I am elated to say this has all been taken care of with minimal discomfort, and no pain. His open door policy allows me the peace of mind to call often with questions and get immediate answers. I have had a 100% positive experience and I wish I had gone to Dr. Feins sooner. Dont hesitate...make your appointment and go! Dr. Feins is and a very rare find! Life changing experience for me.

After a long search for a dentist I landed upon Dr. Feins and Dr. Gordon in River Vale. I made an appointment based solely on positive reviews I found on the Internet. Last night I went for my first visit and I was very impressed. The office is in a beautiful house, which makes it feel cozy inside, yet it is modern and clean, which is certainly important. The front desk woman was very friendly and I did not have to wait long to be called in. The hygienist was great also and I was happy with the cleaning. I saw Dr. Gordon, and I found her to be very professional, yet easy to talk to and friendly. I need some work done so I have another appointment coming up, but Im truly looking forward to it because I feel confident they will do a great job! Definitely recommend this office.

Best dental experience of my life! I have been to many dentists in my 43 years but no one compares to Dr Feinss office. I have never received a more thorough, pain-free, stress-free cleaning in all my life. Lori Garrison is a master hygienist. Dr. Feins is warm, welcoming, extremely knowledgable and takes the time to talk with his patients. He explained clearly what dental work needed to be done to my mouth, why I needed it, and in terms I could understand. He even gave me options to help with prior issues that I had. The whole office staff is wonderful and friendly. I left the office with a fresh smile not just because of my cleaning, but also because of my experience. For the first time in my life I will look forward to going to the dentist.
