Before even going in they have someone in billing call you to get insurance information. Im sorry, but I dont give out that information over the phone. Thats how people get scammed. The woman at the front desk tried to tell me that a paragraph was their privacy policy, so I wouldnt sign the disclosure saying Id received it. When someone else came in she did get me the ACTUAL privacy policy. I dont care if you are new, you should know about the privacy policy. Ive been waiting for 3 or 4 weeks now for a supervisor from Mission Neurology Associates to call me back about switching doctors. Apparently because I saw one person ONCE Im established and they dont like you to switch doctors. I SAW THIS PERSON ONCE. At this point I dont think anyone will call me back. Which is just fine. I was EXTREMELY disappointed and frustrated with the "care" I received there. Dr Michelle Harvey was rude, and didnt listen to me. At one point she even held up her hand as if to say "talk to the hand." Ive had migraines for over a decade and she didnt want to hear about my triggers as a MIGRAINE Specialist? Others have said she was also rude and didnt listen to them. She needs to work on her communication with patients or find a different line of work. She gave me a medication that not old reacted with medication I was already taking, but also preventing me from drinking with friends and caused both my hands and feet to go numb. I quit taking it. She even asked me if I drank, and I said "yes." But she NEVER said one word about alcohol and this medication and alcohol interacting. I read it on the internet and called the on-call doctor. Im glad Mission backed out of the deal. Saves me the trouble from having to see them again. There are other neurologists in the area, Ill go elsewhere.

My actual experience was almost okay. It took me two weeks to get an appointment in six weeks that I was told, by Mission Neurology Associates (MNA) that I needed to make. I finally managed to get an appointment by calling continuously, leaving messages over and over. They made the appointment for the required date (they were specific as to the time frame) and then changed it, without consultation, two times. Once by email, then by phone. When I arrived I was not seen by the doctor but by a PA. The visit went well and the PA was supposed to electronically send the work-up to my personal physician later that day, along with a request for a VERY IMPORTANT and specialized lab-test that my personal physician was to order. Three weeks later, almost a dozen unanswered messages, two answered with assurance that the information would be sent that day (but wasnt), have resulted in no activity, no, none, zero follow up on what they say is a vital piece of information that they are failing, almost at this point refusing, to provide. This is the worst follow-up I have ever heard of. I am deeply disappointed with MNA. They have a big building , lots of employees and lots of patients but their follow-up care is abysmal.

I saw Dr Harvey for the first time yesterday. Although she was a bit late as stated in another review, I believe it was due to going over some tests etc. that had just come in. Once she came into the room, she was very thorough, went over everything and my complete history, did a very complete exam, answered all my questions and never seemed rushed. She was very kind and empathetic and seemed completely knowledgeable. My case is a bit unusual, but I felt we agreed on a treatment plan going forward. She was completely open to my thoughts on that. I dont understand the other reviews, which I admit had made me nervous before my appointment. However, I was pleasantly surprised with my visit. It pays to determine for yourself about any physician. (Her nurse was a real sweetheart also.)

Terrible, rude and useless. My husband and I left feeling like we wasted money coming here. My husband(he had a stroke 2 months ago) was called back very quickly, but had to set and wait for the doctor to show up for a solid hour. When Dr. Harvey finally showed up she was very snide and rude. She asked what happened when my husband was having his stroke. Just 1-2 minutes into explaining what happened she rudely started to give me the "speed it up signal"....like she really didnt care and just wanted me to shut up....SHE was the one that was an hour late. If she hates her job that much she needs to quit. She was of no help and just repeated to us the diagnosis that the hospital had told us. She was very condescending throughout the visit.

After seeing the same neurologist for over four years and being told by the doctor himself that I knew more about my condition than he did, I decided to call Mission Neurology. The receptionist who answered the phone knew exactly what my condition was and suggested I see Dr Rardin. He is well-versed in my very rare condition (something that is barely mentioned in neurology residency apparently) and is making every attempt to treat my pain appropriately. While Ive found the front office can be a little scattered at times, they are friendly and quite competent. Ive yet to run into any problems with communication, either by phone or via the patient portal. They are prompt and genuinely caring.

Treated similarly to previous patient. Unimportant totally to staff. Rushed off phone with no regard for questions. Never directed to where it was located, then upon arriving at the hospital was directed to a different mission campus, on same road, was 10 minutes past time, placed on hold for 7 minutes while they discussed whether or not they could see me only to be told when they came back to the phone that the specific doctor had a strict policy of 15 minutes late equals a cancelation. Terrible communication, poor customer service, and honestly a general disregard for how their own disorganization shouldnt equal a poor patient experience. Unacceptable

My doctor, a Dr.Harvey. Does NOT listen to anything I try to tell her or suggest to her. Nor did she do anything or suggest anything to help me. Other than counseling which I refused because I cant afford a 50$ office visit every month on top of one of the most expensive medicines they have me on, which I still have seizures. I asked to change my medicine twice. Theyve just tripled my dose of the medicine I wanted to change instead of trying another option. Needless to say, I will be finding a different Doctor and Id suggest anyone else do the same. The only part of my visits Ive enjoyed were the really nice staff. Other than the doctors.

I have had a great experience going here. I see Dr. Hartshorn whom I adore. She listens and her staff works towards getting a prior auth with insurance when needed. The only reason I gave a 4 instead of a 5 is when I have had to call the office for immediate migraine relief or need to change appointment, I often do not get a call back so I will have to call multiple times.

I know a good doctor is paramount over good service or great personality BUT this practice is not run well. Phone calls are not returned as promised. We do not get timely answers through their portal. And you will never find a human, you will only receive recordings. What is interesting is that at each recording you are reminded of their exceptional care.
