I cant say enough positive things about Dr. Waldman. First, it was very easy to schedule an appointment - there was no long wait and no hoops to jump through. His office is conveniently located in the downtown/Biltmore Ave area and the parking is easy and convenient. His office is extremely clean and well-maintained. In the 4 appointments I have had with him, I have never had to wait - I was taken back to the examining room immediately, seen by his medical assistant Amanda (who is wonderful, knowledgeable and kind!), and then Dr. Waldman sees you without further waiting. That, in itself, makes the visit wonderful! This is because their scheduling is great - they do not book several people at the same time like so many doctors do ... imagine that! Another thing that impressed me is that Dr. Waldman is thorough in his evaluation - he does the x-ray and ultrasound himself (if needed) and then reviews the slides and results with the patient. He is an excellent educator - he does not lose the patient with medical terms that no one understands. Instead, he takes the time to explain it in detail and you never feel rushed through your appointment. There are no surprises regarding billing and payment - he tells you ahead of time "it will cost x," "your insurance covers this but not that," etc. and you can make decisions based on this information. I appreciated that. Dr. Waldman is not the type of doctor who is quick to jump to surgery. In fact, he likes to avoid surgery if possible, but he also treats the condition thoroughly and aggressively. Another local podiatrist had told me that there was nothing else she could do for me - that surgery was the only other option. The other podiatrist also never fit me for custom orthotics. Dr. Waldman suggested a series of injections over 6 weeks AND he fit me for custom orthotics. It turns out I needed BOTH the injections and the orthotics. After 6 weeks, I feel SO MUCH relief and now pain free ... so much better than I have felt in years! I recommend Dr. Waldman without hesitation - he is WONDERFUL!

After visiting Dr.Waldman for a foot problem I have to say that my total experience with him and his staff were one of the best I have ever had with a doctor. I was given a same day appointment, greeted warmly and did not have a long wait until I was called in. Once inside I was ushered into an exam room and did not wait long until Dr. Waldman came in and introduced himself and put me at ease. The exam was professional and friendly, X-rays were next and a short wait for the results. Dr. Waldman explained my condition and his recommendations, what impressed me most was that he didnot want to rush to surgery and suggested other options. If you have toenail fungus, you really owe it to yourself to speak with Dr. Waldman and the staff at Blue Ridge Foot Center. They have the latest technology available and are experts in the field. I have been receiving laser therapy and have found the results very satisfactory. In addition, I had an ingrown toenail which was quite painful. Dr. Waldman and his staff repaired and treated the nail and the pain was resolved immediately. Dr. W. and his staff were professional and compassionate. I had numbness in 2 toes from an accident 3 months prior to visiting this office. Dr. W. was knowledgeable and experienced in treating this type of problem and suggested using some pills to help my toes heal. I have been using these pills for 2 months as prescribed and truly notice a difference in how my toes feel. What a delight to find a medical facility with old time values combined with the latest technology and products to allow my foot to heal naturally. Thank you Dr. W. and staff!

Doctor Waldman felt that I had great results after 7 months, I feel that its close to being a miracle. My left foot was a mess from fungus and after laser treatments and daily application of anti-fungal medication on my feet, the fungus is not found and my very damaged toenails have pretty much grown back 100%. I had open skin between my toes (kind of classic athletes foot stuff) which I have fought for years. Too bad I couldnt post the before and after photos as a picture is worth a thousand words. I am estatic! Thanks Doc!

Today was my second visit with Dr. Waldman. I went in the first time with so much pain in my foot that I could barely walk without crying. With the first visit he got my pain down from 10+ to maybe a 3 or 4 and i fully believe after todays visit, my pain will go down to almost nothing.... He is very nice, his staff are all nice.... I have not had to wait to see him, I am taking at or before my appt. time. He goes out of his way to make sure that he helps you. I would recommend him to anyone having foot pain.

On my annual visit to Asheville I had a strange pain in my ankle after a strenuous run in the mountains. Dr. Waldman and his staff worked me into the schedule and thoroughly examined my ankle and feet. I was amazed at their efficiency and the technology available to his team. If your feet are ailing you for any reason this is the friendliest and most intelligent team of people who care for feet and ankles in the southeastern United States. I went to Blue Ridge Foot Center to have two ingrown toenails treated. I get extreme anxiety over seeing a podiatrist, but Dr. Waldman and his staff were very good at calming the nerves and making sure I was okay. Other podiatrists claimed that my ingrown toenails couldnt be permanently removed, but Dr. Waldman uses a medicine with a high success rate. It has been four weeks and my toes are looking better than ever! If you have ingrown toenails, you owe it to yourself to get them treated here.

I had been dealing with plantar fasciitis since 2007. I finally found great relief with Dr. Waldman. His staff was warm and inviting and let me know they understood what I was going through. Dr. Waldman began treatment immediately that very day to relieve my pain. I am now back at the gym and doing the things I love. No more sitting on the sidelines for me. I no longer have heel pain. I had a piece of glass in my foot that another podiatrist in the area missed (told me nothing was wrong - charged me $120 after insurance) and I went 4 months walking around in pain until I called Blue Ridge Foot Center. They got me in the very next morning, found the glass, and got it taken out of my foot. I can finally walk barefoot again! The staff and doctor were incredibly kind and caring. I will highly recommend them to anyone!
