My husband and I went to see Barry when our 10 year marriage was at a cross roads. Barry was clear, straightforward and skilled at guiding us through a personal journey over a few months that brought to light core opportunities for our healing and renewal of trust. My husband & I could not be more different, and yet Barry was able to keenly observe us and point us in new directions with a new language around relating we had never been taught before. I would highly recommend Barry as a relationship counselor. We are clear that he is going to remain a key resource for us. Knowing that we can check in with Barry while we continue to explore our newfound intimacy and relationship skills gives us a sense of safety that we are not in this alone ever again and that immediate results are possible even after years of unresolved differences.

I was excited to find a Gottman Marriage therapist as my husband and I really connected with the book. However, when I called to get a feel for this therapist he was very short with me and borderline rude. When my husband called he got the same feeling from him- definitely not the type of person you want to listen to your problems.

I just tried to make an appointment and this guy cut me off three times in conversation, and was only interested in blurting out the cost. The phone call lasted about 60 seconds. Probably not interested in seeking communication therapy with this fellow.
