Ive been going to the LaPorta Center for a few years now to help combat my social anxiety and agreeing to start seeing Dr. Laporta was one of the best decisions I’ve made. With his help, I’ve made great strides towards a future that not too long ago I thought was completely out of reach. Throughout every session with him I’ve never felt that he was just going through the motions or was at any time at all disinterested. He truly cares about his clients and will continue to help you, help yourself no matter how long it might take, or how many times you have to try again.

Dr. LaPorta has extensive experience in helping clients but more important he is compassionate and listens. He helps his clients with a calm and steady presence, no matter how difficult or overwhelming the topic or frantic I felt I always knew Dr. Lou would be there with a calm and encouraging word. Dr. Lous support helped me to regain my life, to go from being a person dependent on disability to working full time, graduating college and pursuing a graduate degree. Words can never express my gratitude.

Dr. LaPorta is a very experienced, compassionate and caring doctor who is sensitive to his patients needs. I am a very private person and feel very comfortable talking about anything. It is very refreshing to have a doctor who is passionate about what he does and actually wants to help his patients. He is also exceptional in working with children. My daughter is also a patient and has benefited from his extensive knowledge as well. I strongly recommend Dr. LaPorta if you need a psychologist

Helpful ... positive ... results ... those are key words to describe the quality care provided by Dr. LaPorta and his team. Dr. LaPortas depth of knowledge of adolescent and family challenges and the ability to provide guidance and nurture growth is exceptional. His therapeutic technique both uncovers and builds upon a persons foundation. In addition, the scope of his experience, training, and academic knowledge provides reassurance when confronting a significant life challenge.

It took a long time to find the correct doctor. In order to get proper help, I needed to be able to trust and confide in my counselor. Dr LaPorta was that person. He is empathetic, patient and excellent at guiding me through some difficult challenges. I highly recommend him.

Never had counseling sessions focus on negativity like this. In my opinion counseling should be constructive, positive and beneficial. Not negative in the name of realism and leave you feeling worse than before you came. Would not recommend.
