My experience wasnt so good. The Dr. was very rushed, didnt explain information to me, and after the work left me out to dry. They then charged me for a $60 co-pay for a visit that lasted less than 90 seconds during a follow up. The receptionist told me not to worry about the co-pay because he rushed the visit, but them I got a nice whopping bill for that and then some. I never write these reviews, but when they sent a bill for the difference and called me with a demanding follow up, I had to. I sure didnt receive any Christian pamphlets, let alone adequate service. The procedure was ok, but everything else about it was rather bad. I went to a different Dermatologist, who looked at the work, reviewed it with me, told me what to expect, and what I should do from there. This happened in the Kernersville office. Never again for me or my family. Im going to pay the bill, but others need to know how customers are treated. As a Christian, im fine with the literature. That is not my concern, it is strictly professional.

He "treated" my daughters warts. He didnt explain anything but put this topical solution on it. We were supposed to come back every week for 6 weeks and it was supposed to make them go away. I felt a little off about the visit because he didnt explain ANYTHING AND he missed half of her warts with the topical solution. He didnt even use a light to look at them. We went to another doctor who explained everything wrote it all down, and said they shouldnt be treated but would go away on their own. Later we received a bill from McCoys office saying we were billed for minor surgery for 100 dollars. There was nothing surgical about it and we werent told thered be any extra charge. Im trying to fight this charge right now. It turns out the solution he put on my daughters arms and knees was a solution that dated back to the 1940s and were "iffy" on if it had any effect on warts. If it is used today, it is only used on "warts around the penis or vagina." Great.

I dont know why these other posts are so hateful just because this doctor is a christian and sees fit to noy only help your skin but also help save your soul. I walked in with no appointment over a concern and he saw me right away. I had never gone to him before in my life. He was professional and i got the feeling he had SEEN IT ALL. The guy is older and if you want a GOOD dermatologist go see him. If you dont like the jesus pamplet you get offered afterwards then dont read it? Whats the big deal. Thanks for diagnosing me Dr.Mccoy!

Other than the staff charging us the insurance companies portion of our visit rather than our own portion... the part that really put it over the top for me and my children was the DO YOU KNOW GOD brochure he gave us when we left. He offers it to all his patients... I guess GOD can cure this rash. Who needs medicine??? As a nurse, I just think this was unprofessional. We will seek followup care somewhere else.

My husband saw him a couple years ago to have a cyst on his scalp drained. It seems that they do not use buffered local anesthetic (cost cutting measure??) and so the anesthetic itself was very painful. Not only that, they will try to convert you to their religion before you go. Save yourself a lot of discomfort and go to Dermatology Specialists.

I am actually making an appointment as a result of the reviews that said Dr. McCoy passed out Christian pamphlets. We as followers of Christ are called to share the message. All Christians should be impressed and appreciative for this ministry. Ill bet Christ is impressed.
