My midwives were wonderful, and my birth experience was made great by them, however everything else Ive had to deal with with this practice has been awful. I paid up front at every appointment for months, paid out of pocket for every ultrasound, so everything should have been paid for, but due to an insurance mistake they claim I owe another $830 and they wont fix it, I have to contact my insurance company myself and work it out. I asked for a detailed invoice so I could take care of it and it was never sent. I had literally been forgotten about and waited over an hour for my appointment when I was pregnant and I had a 2 year old with me, and I was put in a room the size of a closet so that was horrible. Appointment waiting times are long. I called to schedule an appointment last week, I was in tears because Im having problems with postpartum anxiety. Instead of scheduling an appointment I was transferred to billing to talk about the billing issue that was already supposed to be taken care of and then I was informed that everyone had left the office and they couldnt schedule me an appointment. Because I was so distraught the after hours nurse got one scheduled for me. Well I had that appointment today, paid my $35 copay and was then told that there was nothing they could do for me and referred me to a mental health specialist for medication. So I dragged my 2 kids under 2 to wait for 30 minutes, paid them $35 and was then told they couldnt do anything. This shouldve been handled over the phone instead of bringing me in knowing they could not prescribe me medication. I have done nothing but pay everything immediately, even before bills from the practice were due, and they have only made things difficult and messed up the billing which now I am responsible for fixing, and they cant even send me the proper paperwork to do that. They were incredibly insensitive and unhelpful when I needed help. Unless youre willing to go through hell with billing and the staff, its not worth it to go here. I will not be returning.

Most (but not all) of the midwives and doctors are good but it is not worth having to wade through the other staff and myriad of inconveniences as well as lack of caring. They run far behind their appt times, have very few appointments (so good luck if you are actually employed yourself heaven forbid), have horrible billing policies and practices (I am certain I got double charged for ultrasound (they billed for a vaginal US when I never had one - Im sure I would remember and was then told that it was standard and was done when I bothered to play phone tag with the billing office) and was told once that I couldnt be seen for my scheduled office visit because I hadnt paid my bill - come to find out they had filed with my insurance over a month after the service was provided so I hadnt even been sent a bill yet! So how exactly was I supposed to have paid it! To not provide medical care to a patient in good standing because of a bill that had been outstanding for less than a month!!! Nice to know they care about the patient and are not just there to make money (yeah right). I never got called with any of my lab results - I always had to ask about them at my next appointment. I always got the distinct feeling that most providers had never looked at my chart and didnt really care about me as a person or how I was feeling - clearly just there to check off their boxes and make sure my baby was incubating ok. No one asked me or cared about my birth plan or ever discussed what was going to actually happen in labor. When I called in on a weekend with blood pressure concerns and left a message with a nurse, no one ever called me back. You never got to meet the midwives who would actually be doing the delivery since they just work in the hospital. Thank goodness my family doctor can take over my care after this last baby. I would never recommend anyone to this practice.

I have been a patient in this practice for almost 5 years, The Doctors and Midwives are wonderful, caring and very well-experienced. However, the office staff is AWFUL! The ladies in the front check-in are terrific, but the people who schedule appointments over the phone have attitudes, and speak to you with total disrespect. There have been times I have waited to see a doctor for hours, I have shown up 15 minutes early for an appt, and still sat out in the waiting area for over 30 minutes until I just decided to leave. Because my work/ and school schedule is so busy, they never have an appointment that fits my schedule, and when I indicate that I am unable to take a specific appointment offered, I can clearly hear the attitude and frustration in their voice. I am 31 weeks pregnant and have not seen a doctor in about 6 weeks. I have been instructed to "keep calling back" to hopefully get an appointment because they have none that can fit my busy schedule. I am currently trying to find another pratice where the appointment staff is nicer, and will make more of an effort to get their patients appointments that fits their schedule. Although it is quite a shame, because I truly love all of the doctors, midwives, and check-in staff in this practice, but its pretty hard to get to see them when I have to go through hell and high water or cannot even get an appointment and have to deal with attitude and long waits to even see the doctor.

I’ve been going to CCOBGYN for a few years and have had NOTHING but positive experiences and service. From the time I walk in the door, I’m greeted with a smile and often times a hug. If Dr. Roberts is running behind, I am told immediately at check-in. Considering the care, time and attention I get from Dr. Roberts and her staff, I don’t mind the wait which is never long anyway. When I call to make an appointment, if the hold time is long I just leave a message (which you are given that option) and my call is returned within 24hrs of less. Same if I have a question for the nurse or billing. I usually get to speak to someone but if I don’t, I communicate via the patient portal or leave a message. I’ve referred numerous friends to the office and they had nothing but great things to say as well. Most of the reviews I am reading are pertaining to the wait times, which is understandable. Look at it this way, you wait in traffic on the way to work and adjust your schedule accordingly for your paycheck. You wait in line at the grocery store for a sale item or a steak you’ve been craving. So would you rather go to the Dr. and they rush you and not touch you so you can get in and out in 30 minutes or less or do you rather wait and get that one on one personal attention and care you need and deserve?

I would give this clinic ZERO stars as many of previous reviews have stated. Please stay away from this place if you want to have a joyful pregnancy. I would say that this place and specially the billing department dont have a clue of what they are doing. They make giving birth to rocket science, giving birth is the most natural thing. They make you do multiple ultrasounds, glucose test all kind of crazy test many times for ZERO reason. But they make money out of it of course. I know for a fact that they messed up one of my lab works, my husband compared all the data from ALL previous test and it didnt make sense. The doctors were all defensive when he confronted them and everything was all of a sudden completely normal. The wanted monthly payments in advance which I agreed on, this despite the fact that I have a good insurance. It took me almost 5 month to get my money back, it was a decent amount. And it required daily phone calls for 4 months before they paid me back. And they made it look like I was the stupid one. Once again, my review is not based on emotions its all fact. And if you read the other reviews you will understand that this clinic is TOTAL BS. If you are currently visiting the office, switch ASAP.
