Let me begin by stating that everyone in this office was very kind. The nurse, Annie, & the front desk staff were very personable and accommodating. Actually, Annie and Hope (front desk) made it difficult for me to leave a negative review. They were awesome. However, Dr. Bain seemed nice also but unfortunately, this isnt a review about friendliness. Dr. Bain rushed through my entire appointment and made me feel as though he had someplace else he needed to be. I had a late afternoon appointment around the Christmas holidays so maybe that was a factor but at the end of the day, its very rude and inconsiderate to be curt with a patient who selected your practice out of several others in the area. I primarily visited Dr. Bain for acne and I also mentioned a sweating issue I had been dealing with. He rattled off a few prescriptions to his nurse for the acne and told me to see my primary care physician for the sweating issue. I guess he didnt want to be bothered with his specialty that day. He then thanked me and tried to take off. I had to stop him from leaving 2-3 times to ask questions about his recommendations and the meds he prescribed which really annoyed me. I scheduled a follow-up appointment but plan to cancel it due to the lack of interest Dr. Bain showed during my visit. He seems like a nice guy but I would rather give my hard-earned $ to someone who understands the importance of showing each patient a certain level of enthusiasm about helping resolve their issues. My search for a dermatologist continues.

I had gone to two other dermatologists in Raleigh, and not only did you have to wait months for an appointment, but they kept you waiting in their waiting room for an hour waiting to see a P.A. I never actually met a doctor. I was determined to find a good dermatologist, and finally found Dr. Bain. His P.A., M.A.s and receptionist are all very friendly, and knowledgeable in their field. The other two dermatologists I went to handle skin cancer work very differently than Dr. Bain. They would slice something off, and send you home. Dr. Bain will take a sample, have you wait for the sample result, and if needed, he will then remove some more of the Cancer. I had a small cancer spot on my hand. I didnt realize I would have to wait for results, so I was there from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m., but I appreciate that he really cares about getting it all out. If you went to these other local dermatologists, they may have you come back, and cut a little bit off, and then have you come back, and by the time you are seen again, your cancer can spread. I appreciate how thorough Dr. Bain is. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a wonderful skin surgeon.

I recently went to Dr. Bain for Mohs removal of skin cancer on my face. I was able to get a timely appointment (rather than waiting 2 months with another surgeon) and they were able to handle my insurance without difficulty (another issue with the other surgeon which would delay treatment). Dr. Bains staff were kind, compassionate and efficient. They explained everything ahead of time in detail and made sure I knew they were on hand for questions at any time. Dr. Bain was efficient, but not rushed, explained each step of the procedure and options. He was caring and encouraging. I cant say enough about the staff. They all convey a level of compassion Ive not experienced many other places.

Having recently visited this office, I would like to make known what exorbitant prices this office charges. For a visit of about forty minutes I was charged a fee of $721. The procedure involved viewing ingrown hair, using liquid nitrogen on one skin spot and prescribing three medications for the pseudofolliculitis barbae. These charges are what contribute to soaring health costs for insurance. The services were fine, but if you are paying out of pocket or have a high deductible this is not a business you will want an schedule appointments. My rating is a 3 on a scale of 10.

This office isnt being managed properly. Called twice : once to make appointment and confirm they took my insurance and then once more to reschedule- again checked insurance. Turned up this morning having taken a day off work to find they dont take my insurance. I was supposed to be a new patient now i will have to join the list somewhere else and delay treatment further. This place is a waste of time. There are hundreds of similar practices in the area. Why waste your time and energy on one that cant get the first step correct when given two opportunities?

I had the best experience seeing Dr. Bain and his staff. From the ladies at the front desk to the nurses in the exam rooms to Dr. Bain himself. Everyone was incredibly nice and they really understand how to make one feel comfortable. They are all professional but personal at the same time. I really enjoyed meeting Annie and I can guarantee that I will only go to Bain Dermatology for anything that I need in the future. Dr. Bain and his staff are sincere and lovely. Dr. Bain is excellent and his skills are unmatched! Thanks for all of your help! Ben

Ive been a patient here for nearly a year, and, even though Ive since moved, I continue to travel to Raleigh to see Dr. Bain. I previously had a hard time finding a good dermatologist, so needless to say, finding this practice was a relief. Hes been thorough, competent, and addressed all of my questions and concerns. The support staff is excellent and the office is clean and modern. I give it my highest recommendation.

I am rating Bain dermatology 5 stars. My rating is based on several factors. First, I was able to get an appointment in a timely fashion; within weeks. Second, I value my time. I waited no longer 10 minutes to be seen by the physician. I have referred many to this practice and have heard no negative feedback. I will continue to referral friends, family and patients to Bain dermatology.
