After trying out several local vet clinics, have been a client with Swift Creek (and sometimes Lake Pine) more than 13 years. I had also a prior pet sitting experience having to rush a SC clients pet in, fortunately the outcome was good, and their handling was a highly positive experience I had stored away not knowing I would eventually live in the area Swift Creek serves. I have always been satisfied with my experience whether routine annual checks, emergency situations, or pet end of life. The staff maintains a calm with empathy when the situation is scary, cheerfulness and interest when a routine visit, and reasonable flexibility when a pet is in for a stay to permit me to visit my pet. I have had some fun and humorous pet related experiences at the reception desk and waiting room. When calling in the phone is handled well even when they are crazy busy, I appreciate that they are very busy which to me means strong skills, lots of knowledge my pets will benefit from should it be needed. I also know to check in ahead of scheduled appointments to make sure things are running ok since my animals do not like vet visits to minimize their stress, to ensure any time adjustments are made to be flexible for what emergencies have just occurred at the office. I appreciate the doctors provide me with information to make me a more informed pet owner. I am so glad to have them in the area and so consistent in their care of, and for, my pets.

I am a Swift Creek convert! I had been using another local vet for the past 5 years, and over the last year my cat has been sick and no matter what, she wasnt getting better. A friend referred me to Swift Creek for a second opinion. When we left the country for a week and needed to board our cat since she wasnt well, we left her in the hands of the staff at Swift Creek and by the time we got back, she was like a different cat! Healthy and energetic! The staff kept in touch with me and got my authorization before running tests, administering meds, or doing procedures, and they seriously did more for my cat in one week than the last vet could do in 5 years. I am so thankful to Swift Creek and their amazing staff for giving me back my happy, healthy cat. They treated her like she was their own and she was so comfortable with them. Since then, we have switched to Swift Creek and will never go anywhere else. The staff continues to check in about my cat between appointments and this clinic is much more concerned about the well-being of these animals than about making money. Their costs are affordable compared to many others in the area and the people are so kind and compassionate. I highly recommend if you are looking for a new vet in the area.

Rudest receptionist/administrator imaginable. An attempt was made to simply change the time of an appointment to have a sick animal euthanized, and the receptionist was rude, making disparaging remarks about the change of appointment and that a different family member did so. She seemed to be upset that she had to simply change an appointment, and showed zero compassion as an animal was being euthanized. The vet tech was friendly and professional, but neither I not my family will ever be walking in the door of this clinic. Very specifically, the Penny Rd location. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The doctors are ok. Nothing special, but they get the job done. But this place is a factory - theres no personal care at all. The administrative staff is terrible. I call to schedule vet time with my dog due to dementia issues. They schedule a tech appt for a vaccine and the vets cant see her because theyre "slammed". They also use a contact mgt service that will annoy the s*** out of you with confirmation and reminder emails and texts. I wish they respected my time as much as they want me to respect theirs. Theres much better service available in this area.

Im surprised at the adverse comments voiced by some of the visitors to Swift Creek. Our dog Bogart has always been welcomed fondly. When we had to put away our cat Pyewacket, Dr. Bost was so thoughtful and understanding of our sadness.Dr. Gintis performed leg surgery on Bogart a while back and he couldnt have been more thoughtful and instructive (and conducted a successful surgery). Weve been patrons for years and cant praise the hospital more. By the way, the staff has always been friendly and helpful. Don and Kay Maynard

Horrible Experience. The doctors are ok, but the administrative staff and technicians are horrible. How this place has such a high rating is beyond me. Ive been here a few times but this time brought my pet in for its shots and I waited almost a half an our after my SCHEDULED appointment. I understand that it can be busy but at least keep me updated on what my wait time is going to be. Beware of the receptionists and dont come in during lunch time. The girls up front like to rudely eat in front of you.

Dr. Gintis seems to be a good doctor, however, the staff is poor. My dog had to be euthanized at an emergency clinic prior to an appt I had with this vet. I called to cancel the appt and the staff member only said we received the information from the emergency clinic and canceled the appt and then hung up on me. I was horrified at her insensitivity. There were no "sorry for your loss" or any condolences only a click on the other end of the line as she hung up on me.

Weve had our pets at this vet for over 10 years. Weve been through many different situations including cancer surgeries, another difficult diagnosis, and had to euthanize a pet. The entire staff has been nothing but flexible, VERY friendly, and compassionate. The doctors have always worked very hard (even having consults with specialists at no additional cost to us) in order to find us a reasonable solution and avoid costly options. Definitely recommend.

We switched to Swift Creek for our 3 animals after a number of bad experiences elsewhere where vets were constantly pushing unnecessary and expensive tests, procedures and examinations. We have been so happy with Dr Riddle and the staff. No nonsense care. Affordable and courteous. Dr. Riddle was able to diagnose a troubling condition with our Golden that was corrected early and has led to a completely normal life style. Recommend them highly.

Been going to Swift Creek for about 16 years with our cats. Theyve done a great job trying to get to the root of the problems with our cat who was excessively grooming as well as weight management issues, among a number of things that come up over so many years. Never felt like they were pushing anything unnecessary, if anything worked to avoid costly alternatives.

Saw my Jack Russell, Harry, as an unplanned visit at the end of the day. Did not hurry through the appointment (administered IV medications and fluids) and gave us everything that I would need to care for him, including veterinary drugs. Also, called to follow-up to make sure he was doing well. Very professional and caring.

Just waited 30min and got zero help, I had to walk out. 20min after being there I was told to go to a room, 10min after that I was still sitting there. I was going to be a new client, not now. If you dont treat new clients with respect, I cant imagine how you treat current clients.
