Im not sure why this optometrist has a license. He was okay personality wise, but he seemed a tad unprofessional considering that he gave me and my two sisters completely wrong eye glasses prescriptions. After getting my glasses and putting them on I seen reflections and doubles. They were annoying and close to unbearable to wear. They gave me a headache every time I wore them so I made a second appointment to get them checked out. At first Dr.Smith seemed to think something was wrong but after talking to his secretary he gave me the glasses back and told me I just had to get used to it. I left a little ticked off and unsure of his professionalism. Soon after I made an appointment to a new eye doctor because I was fed up with the prescription I was given. I decided to go to "Spex" because someone I know liked them. The optometrist there told me and my sister who also made an appointment that we were given completely wrong prescriptions. The prescription I received from Spex was spot-on. I am near sighted, not far sighted which is what I was told my Dr.Smith. Dr. Gibson of "Spex" was also very friendly and professional. I would never recommend anyone to see Dr.Smith. Im not quite sure he knows what hes doing.

I am saddened by these posts that I see on here about Dr. Smith. I have been a long time patient of his and so are all my children. I would not recommend going to anyone else. I went to Spex and they told me that my daughter who was around 5 at the time needed very serious glasses. the ones they ordered had extremely thick lenses on them, and she complained she couldnt see anything and they made her head hurt. I took her then to Dr. Smith, who told me that though my daughter was a little near sighted, at her age it wouldnt do any good for her to have glasses, and guess what... Here she is 12 now, and has perfect vision. I am afraid that if we had kept the glasses from Spex and not gotten a second opinion from Dr. Smith, it would have completely ruined her vision. His office always works us in around our needs and schedule and they are always very polite, courteous, and professional and I would always recommend him to anyone no matter what age.

What Sarah wrote is pretty much my experience. Got bifocals and I was having major problems with them -- I couldnt find the bottom of the bifocal. Well after someone else looked at the glasses, the frames were for "kids" so the frame was too small to hold a bifocal and thats why I couldnt find the bifocal line -- it was pretty much non-existent. Went around-and-around with them. Finally took out the bifocal lense and put in regular lenses -- wouldnt take the glasses back and correct the entire problems. Would never recommend.
