I went to the Doctors of Optometry for an eye exam. I was told they had a machine that is better than drops to examine your eyes. They charge $40 more to use this machine too. They said my eyes were healthy. This did not make sense to me. After the exam I went to the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute for a second opinion. They used drops to examine me and discovered I had a very serious eye condition and if not treated I would have lost my eyesight. The Doctor at the Cole Eye Institute said the only way to have found this condition is using drops and that is why they always use drops. I the went to Retina Associates of Cleveland which are nationally known Eye Doctors for a third opinion. They confirmed the Cole Eye Institute results. They also said the only way to examine the eyes properly is using drops. Doctors of Optometry are playing a CON GAME. They charge more for something that is not as good. If you value your eyesight DO NOT GO THERE. They should be called DOCTORS of CON.

I have been with Dr. Dowd for many years due to his knowledge and professionalism. He is also a very nice guy. I will continue to use their services as long as they are in business. I would recommend anyone who is looking for an optometrist to check out Dr. Dowd and his associates.
