Breast Cancer. In the first 6 months I never saw an oncologist more than once. They were resigning and being replaced left and right. The care was sloppy. I will not return to OSU if my cancer comes back. On the other hand, the radiology department and their oncologists were excellent. So there was a bright star which is why the 3 stars. Most importantly to understand, on the first swing at treatment, you will receive the same care at OSU as you would receive anywhere. I checked with 3 other facilities and the protocol was exactly the same. If that is the case for you, and it probably will be, pick the small facility. They will come to know you and care about you which i found very lacking at OSU.

my first diagnosis was at another local hospital they wanted to do a mastectomy with no chance of saving the breast...i was very unhappy so i went for a 2nd opinion osu.. i went to the stephanie spielman breast ctr, saw dr farrar who then became my doctor.he did surgery and followed it with radiation with dr white.... they both saved my breast and my life. i am 68 yrs old....it was the world to me to still have both of my breasts... feeling like a whole woman was all i wanted...no one can see the future but for this time in my life i feel blessed for the treatment i got at the stephanie spielman breast ctr.

I cant say enough great things about Michelle Rees, who works in Hopes Boutique. Dealing with the diagnosis of breast cancer coupled with losing your hair can be devastating. Michelle was so kind and helpful in finding and styling the right wig for my daughter. She wanted to make sure she did everything to make her feel good about herself and offered so many suggestions regarding her wig and skin care products. My daughter was so pleased with Michelles kindness, expertise and professionalism. Michelles quiet non-assuming manner and willingness to help was just what she needed. Thank you!

I have had nothing but bad experiences since I started coming to the Spielman Center in 2013...I thought this would be the best place for care during my breast cancer treatment. I have had bad experiences with Oncologists as well as support staff. I have too many situations to mention in this format..I would love to be able to talk to Chris Spielman. I am sure this is not he or Stephanie wanted patients to experience....

An amazing treatment center. I am an old nurse and tend to be very critical toward nursing care. I am just floored every time I go there. We are blessed to have this outstanding place and the awesome staff. And I mean everyone, from the gift shop up to the chief surgeon.

I cant say enough about how great this center is. If youre a female and have to get a mammogram youre treated like a queen. And to have it named after a true champion such as Stephanie Spielman. I get chills every time I think of her.
