I was first seen at the Riverside Hospital where they had me transferred to the Ohio State University Burn Center, after I dropped a kettle full of boiling water on both of my feet. When I arrived there, the first nurse that seen me, actually said, I dont know why she was even admitted. Then finally after I was complaining they did give me some pain medicine that didnt work. I was crying in pain for 5 hours while they said they were paging a doctor that wasnt answering. Then, before they gave me any pain medicine they poured what they said was a cleaning solution to prevent infection which felt like they poured boiling water on my feet. They finally gave me some pain medicine after crying in pain and feeling like my feet were set on fire. Which the nurse said she prescribed herself, because the doctor still wasnt answering his page. 5 hours later a doctor came in to see me and said he didnt see too much wrong and ask the nurse to wrap them back up. Finally it was about 11:00 am the next day and was going to see the burn doctor, when I went in what they called a sterile room, the doctor was sleeping the nurse went and woke him up and he stumbled over to the table that I was laying on after complaining he had been awake all night and looked at my feet for 15 seconds and said all she needs is lotion for dry skin. Now my feet are blistered and very red. The skin is cracking and I have been using the so called lotion that they gave me and will have to go see another doctor on Monday. Overall I would have to say that this was the worse care that I have ever received and I have hired an attorney to take a look at the treatment that I received and what they did while I was there. I would love to be able to attach pictures of my feet that they said there was nothing wrong.

First of all, my sister had a television to fall on her head and her head was busted and bleeding...we went to this RIDICULOUS er...we sat in the waiting room for 2 hours n finally she was called bk...once she got to the back, 3 more hours had past and the only person that came in the room was the registration people.. I went in to see that her head was STILL bleeding..I called and ask them if they can provide something so that her head could stop bleeding since we have yet to see a nurse...the lady on the other end said, " I will let the nurse no" . still no nurse. After 5 hours of just waiting she decided to just leave, when she told them that, the hurried n gave her a Tylenol n was getting her discharge papers together. Y wasnt they this prompt with caring for the patients. I thought they take patients in order of severity but THEY Dont and also they are slow as hell. The ER wasnt packed at all so I Dont see y it took them so long to even call people back. Do they not realize people get sick and injured around midnight also. They didnt bother to take any tests or anything. I bet there has been plenty of deaths there. The staff just sits there lazy ass around doing nothing. And it looks like they all are interns and Dont no what the hell they are doing. They need to be retrained by a better hospital because THE ER at Ohio State University EAST is TERRIBLE.

My father was admitted for an intestinal blockage and while he was there one of his Symbicort inhalers (brand new) for COPD disappeared from his side table. They are claiming they didnt take and the respiratory section never even bothered to look for it. They were giving him a dosage from one of thier inhalers and probably took it thinking it was one of thiers. Only the inhaler that matched theirs is missing, the yellow one was not moved. Now he is awaiting discharge but they dont have an inhaler for him that he requires on a daily basis. The respiratory section here is pathetic. Its not too hard to look at shift notes and medicine logs to figure out where it went but they wont even bother to check. I have no doubt one of their idiots took it thinking that someone from a previous shift left it by accident. Now I have to go fight with the VA to get him another one. Not all, but it seems as if this place is plagued by lazy people who are not well trained in thier jobs. The last two times he was in here he was misdiagnosed and immediate surgery recommended. Both times he did not need or end up having surgery. No one wants to take responsibility.

Would NOT recommend taking a loved one there! My dad was taken there from a rehab unit when he broke his ankle and he has dementia.. Most of the staff was understanding but he had a nurse Tomu that was not so understanding! She called me at 7:30am and did not leave a message.. I called the hospital and ask if my Dad was alright only for her to rip me up one side and down the other.. (my dad has dementia and is hearing impaired) he does not understand what was going on and was scared. She told me someone from the family needed to sit with him and when I volunteered she said he was sleeping.. she handed the phone off to the doctor thinking he would back her up in her details and he did NOT.. do not take your loved ones there!

I dont even want to give them a star... I would not recommend ANYBODY to this place... I had to leave work due to my back pain and the fact that my legs kept going numb. The doctor wrote me two perceptions but put my maiden name on them. When I told them that my health insurance would not cover them because of the name differences, I was told that there was nothing they could do. But they made sure they were able to change my name for billing, do they would get paid. They looked up the cost of the meds and told me to just pay for them out of pocket.

I checked in for surgery on 7-25-2016. From the staff at registration to pre-op, my doctors, nurses and PCAs..... THANK YOU! I enjoyed the best care I could have imagined. Everyone was professional, responsive, and clearly were concerned about the level of care I was receiving. Although I was only in the hospital for 24 hours, I received top flight care. Jaecinda and Rashid were excellent nurses - thank you! From my experience, I would highly recommend OSU East!!

I took my wife here when all of the other ERs had about a 7 hour wait time. They admitted us within 5 minutes, diagnosed the issue, got us a prescriptions she needed, and had us out and back home well before we would have been even admitted at the 1st ER we went to. Staff was really awesome, knowledgeable, and friendly. Even though this ER is a little further away for us, well definitely come back here for all future incidents.

I had a bilateral inguinal hernia repair along with an adductor tendon release on July 20, 2017. All of the staff were incredible. They took the time to answer every question I had, the surgery happened when it was scheduled, and I was on my way home less than six hours after I walked in. I was really pleased with their efficiency, professionalism, and their positive attitude. Thanks for the great care.
