After reading the other reviews about this particular Urgent Care of Summas, I see that I am not the only one who felt like the front office staff are rude at times, gossipy, etc. The doctors did help me; but my concern is that a staff member let me know that I need to have someone check my medical records. She claims someone put something in it that wasnt at all true because she knows me well. Hmm, a lesson learned. Not everyone who is a nurse and/or doctor has their patients best interest at heart. Not unless it was some disgruntled front office employee who was able to put something strange in my record. I dont know and will have a paid legal person help me find out; but it is sad that some professionals use their paid time to mistreat a patient by putting incorrect things in their records. Sooner or later they will do it to the wrong person and the hospitals or clinics will be sued. There are too many costs the hospitals and Urgent Cares have already, so why would an employee put something derogatory in my medical record? As the saying goes, "Truth is stranger than fiction!"

RUDE! I went here last night(called before I went to see if they accept my ins). I got there at 7:45 & the front desk staff & nurses were SO RUDE! The whole time I was in the waiting room up front, they were not shy about talking to each other very loudly as one said to the others "You should have let me lock the door after she called when I wanted to" and "Ive got her info in the system, she is sitting up front, go take her back so we can get her out of here!"....I almost walked out if I was not in so much pain. I absolutely could not believe how I was treated, it made me feel like my worries about my health were not "valid" enough & that I needed to hurry in explaining what I was feeling to not burden these "health proffessionals". The doctor that actually saw me was helpful but the nurses & front staff were disgusting in the way they treating me. So, I guess the lesson learned is this Urgent Care is not actually open till 8:00 pm if you want a nice, helpful medical staff...you better get there by 7:30!

My husband and I would attend this urgent care because the hours are convenient and it was close to our work. However, we have now been misdiagnosed twice and both times it has turned out to be a much bigger health issue then what they said. I was told that I had a simple cold and to just get some rest. Well it turned out that I had a pneumonia and I was sick for over a month. My husband was completely brushed off when he told the doctor he believed he was having a bad reaction to a medicine he had been prescribed. The doctor told him he had nothing to worry about without even doing any tests. He has since went to another doctor and found he may have a severe illness related to the prescribed medicine. Point is, the doctors that work here do not care about the patients. They push them out the door and do as little work as possible. Do yourself a favor and go to a real practice with doctors who care.

The wait was long but the waiting room was packed full of sick people. Its the season for people to be sick so this was not surprising. Even though the wait was long everyone was moving around and busy. So it was not lack of working on the employees. The staff was absolutely amazing. There were a couple nurses that took care of me. One was a brunette and was very sweet and energetic the other took my xray with short hair and was very nice and accommodating. Dr. Hamler was a very nice genuine doctor who showed compassion and concern. He even referred me to a family doctor I could see regularly instead of having to pay my high urgent care copay. Unsure where all the bad reviews of this place came from since my experience couldnt have went better!

It is common knowledge that if it is cold/flu season, you are going to wait to see a doctor just about anywhere. Plus, if you go at particularly busy times (lunch, after work), you will have to wait no matter what time of the year. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and had virtually no wait. Front desk person was courteous. The doctor listened to my symptoms and agreed with my assumed diagnosis. In and out in a total of 45 mins. For an urgent care, without an appointment, I think that is more than acceptable. I will not hesitate to go there again.

My son went here for a possible Broken Arm. He is 14. His mother left the room while getting X-Rays. When she returned my son came back from X-Ray and the Doctors advised my 14 yr old son that his arm was broke and he needed surgery. He was told this with no Adult in the room. You can imagine how this scared him. We were told to go to Childrens Hospital for further review. He was discharged WITHOUT a Sling. He basically left in the EXACT SHAPE as he came there in. VERY DISAPPOINTED. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Not Happy at ALL.

Rude front desk, uncaring doctor who just gave me antibiotics without checking to see what was actually wrong. I finished the antibiotics and only got worse, so I went to the nearby minute clinic at the CVS. The people there were kind, caring, and properly diagnosed pneumonia, then gave me the treatment plan. My suggestion, go to the CVS minute clinic nearby instead. Its cheaper, faster, nicer, and they act more like doctors.

I went in for a bad sinus infection. I told the medical person I saw I was allergic to penicillin. She gave me a script that had amoxicillin in it. It was called something I never heard before. Which was great to be driving a few days later having an allergic reaction on the highway. Wont go back.

I had a 10 minute wait and an excellent experience with Dr. Hamler. He was very professional. So glad I went and didnt wait till Monday to try my doc. I was miserable with a sinus infection and swollen throat and felt better by the evening. Not sure if the cost yet.

So. Slow. Receptionist takes over 45 minutes JUST to enter paperwork to put you in line to be seen. Been waiting over two hours... and still waiting with three people ahead of me. This is NOT urgent care - the ER would be faster.

I went there like 3 weeks ago. My gland were swollen and was causing intense pain in my left ear. They didnt run no tests. Had a nurse diagnosis me as a head cold and sent me on my way. Big waste of time. Dont go there ever!!!!

Would rate it lower if I could, I took a sick family member there, The doctor did nothing. The very next day ,the sick Family member had to go to another Doctor for the proper treatment. Summa Clinic is a waste of money

This is the slowest, I mean slowest urgent care Ive ever been to. Theres nobody in the waiting room, and Im currently at a 45 minute and counting wait. Fairlawn, Akron and surrounding patients go elsewhere!
