I truly understand how drug abuse is viewed but I received the worst treatment at LMH Ive ever experienced in a hospital and Ive had lots of hospital experience due to a severe car accident I had a couple years ago. The reason I went to LMH is because Im on a controlled substance called suboxone which is legally prescribed to me from a very nice doctor named Rani Lahki. I am prescribed this drug because of previous heroin addiction that I am doing very well recovering from. I ran out of my meds early because I mistakenly told my doctor I had plenty because I miscounted my meds, so I was experiencing extreme withdrawal. Long story short, the nurses were very kind and professional. The doctor on call was Dr. Anders and I was treated like a total low life and he asked and said some very offensive things, like where do I live and how I afford to live, why Im not currently employed ext. I know these questions dont sound that offensive but the manner in which they were asked and the tone was. After that, he basically told me to stop my meds all together and just suffer through it. Anyone in the medical field knows that withdrawal from opiates can be very dangerous and in some cases, life threatening. I got the most minimum care possible and mostly ignored in the ER. I was not looking for a shot of narcotics or anything like that. All I wanted was help with what I was going through and maybe some advice on how to continue my recovery. Like I said, I got the minimal amount of care and treated very poorly only because of my history. My fiance even noticed how I was spoken to and treated was less than acceptable. Had I not had a history of drug abuse or prescribed suboxone I would have been treated much better. I know this because this is our local hospital and I have been there for other things and was treated very well. The way I see it as, drug abuse is a bad thing to do to yourself but Ive been trying very hard to correct the situation that I put MYSELF in stupidly but I never want to be that way again and plan on a full recovery. I think doctors should HELP people in these kinds of situations, regardless of their personal views. Hands down, worst experience in a hospital Ive ever experienced. Dr. Anders was very rude and unsympathetic. I dont expect a pity party but I do expect professional and polite treatment regardless of any medical history. I will never return to LMH unless I am dying or maimed to the point I had no choice but LMH. Thanks to Dr. William Anders.

I have had blood clots on two different occasions, so when the pain in my leg returned to the point that it was very painful I went to the ER on a Sunday. The board showed there were over 20 people in front of me so when I checked in I asked if a Doppler could be done at Urgent Care because I would be more than happy to go there instead of waiting for a long period. I was informed that they only did them at LMH. So I waited 4 1/2 hours in the waiting room and then went back to my room and waited some more. The attendants were very nice and also apologized for the extreme wait. Once the doctor came in and heard my issues his comment was" there is no one here today that can do a Doppler, but I will schedule you for one tomorrow" Really?? So I go Monday to get my test and in conversation the tech states she was on call all week-end and was tired. I went through my story and she said they never called her to come in to do my test. So my visit to the ER to get a test scheduled was over a 6 hour hospital visit, a bill in excess of $550 and the test the next day that was $500. Would have been nice if the tech who checked me in said that they wouldnt be able to do that test on a Sunday, would have saved me a whole lot of money and time. They just dont communicate!!

LMH REALLY does promote good health because most of the people in Licking County try very hard to keep in decent enough shape to not end up in this ER ! My BIGGEST fear is that something will happen to me where I am rendered speechless and cannot scream " whatever you do, dont take me to LMH !!" Then some well meaning soul will see that I am transported to LMH ER where my chances for demise just went up 75%. I will overlook their complete incompetence from the Doc clear down to the aides and that includes nurses (and I am a nurse myself so I can say this) ...the absolute worse problem they have is their incredibly rancid attitudes. I have never met a group of people who are all consistently rude, ill tempered, and just downright smug in my life. Does LMH beat these people at the end of each shift or what? Whatever it is, it is quite obvious that from reception clear through discharge these are some seriously unhappy employees. Since they cant attack the Board of Directors they have no qualms about taking whatever the problem is out on the patients. My advice to anyone who has more than a scratch, drive the extra 30 minutes into C-bus.

If you need an ER or hospital, drive by this one and head to any Ohio Health or Mt. Camel facility. I recently visited this hospitals emergency room after being transported there by squad following a an auto accident. Upon arrival at the hospital I was forced to WALK to the triage desk, stand at the registration counter and then wait in the waiting room in a C-collar. I have a significant cervical spine history and I am very cautious regarding my neck especially since I had all the fusion hardware removed on 7-1-2015 due to a staph infection. I requested some pain medication, since I had been very vocal about their treatment protocols and quality of care, I was given Ativan as a pain medication, this was complete BS as Ativan is a benzodiazapan very similar to Xanax and in my opinion given to me to "shut me up"! My wife received similar care, she was worse than me as she also hit her head and has a concussion. The treatment at this hospital is horrible and if you are not careful, they might just kill or maim you in the process.

I went there after pain in my left lung and they had to syringe fluid. They wanted to admit me. A new doctor came on call and he said I was above their hospital know how and he didnt want me on his time. I was then transferred to riverside, which by the way is a wonderful hospital. Needless to say they gave me as they mentioned was the oldest bed in the place which the mattress was gone. Was completely rude. Tore up all my veins from my arms down to my fingers. Riverside got my vein on first try and was mortified when the saw what they did to me. They only good thing there was the food for a hospital. I should be thankful they made me leave. I was admitted in riverside for over a week with lung issues. Whats worse they are denying my insurance claim stating there was no reason for me to have come in the hospital even they they sent me out in a squad. Still fighting this one. THIS IS NOT A HOSPITAL... I CALL IT LICKING COUNTY COMMUNITY CARE. Urgent care would be better
