I went there last night (12/17/2014) because I had a cough, my lungs felt heavy, and my back hurted. I had a fever a few days ago too but got better. First let me say, the receptionist (a white Hispanic Caribbean woman) was eating at her desk. I asked her for directions to the ER. As she was stuffing her face (too much makeup by the way), she interrupted me and pointed to a window on the right where a woman was standing. Apparently, she didnt speak ENGLISH!!!! As I walked to the nice woman at the window, I looked back at the receptionist like she lost her mind. Why would they hire someone that doesnt speak English to be a receptionist? What sense does that make? Not only did she not speak English, but SHE WAS EATING HER DINNER! When have you ever walked in to a hospital and saw the receptionist eating his or her dinner? Seriously? Thats so unprofessional! Isnt there a break room? When I entered the lobby to the ER, they had an empty desk with sign-in clip boards. THERE WAS ONLY ONE PEN! Are you kidding me? When the intake guy called me in to ask me the Ebola questions and get my vitals, I noticed the room was dirty. He preceded to ask me why I wasnt wearing a mask. I told him I didnt see any signs out there. That really irritated him because he started to get short with me and snatched everything out of my hands. He took my vitals aggressively. When I got to the triage, the nurse was pretty nice. She is the only person that I would give a positive review. The PA that checked me was some pompous guy that made me feel very uncomfortable. It was very obvious that he wanted to get me out of there ASAP. He didnt care about what I had to say because as I spoke he kept interrupting me. He is only there to get his check. He ordered to get my x-rays done. The radiologist arrived to pick me up in a wheelchair, and I noticed her bad attitude right away. All I can tell you is that she is a hood rat that shouldnt be working there. She had a nasty attitude for no reason! I am generally a nice person. I dont understand why everybody at this hospital were nasty this night but apparently this has been an ongoing issue. She asked me questions as to why I was there. I dont like the way she spoke to me. She used a lot of slang. She behaved like those ghetto girls that only have their jobs because they know somebody. You know, the type that probably passed her classes in school only because she did good on her extra credit projects [ thats what help her grades! ;) ]. She probably used a cheat sheet to study for her license and doesnt truly understand her job (she studied to pass her exam only) Yes, she was one of them! She didnt even ask me to rest my feet on the wheelchair. I couldve hurt my feet on the floor.I can sense her bad attitude because she made me feel like I interrupted her night (probably sleeping in the laundry room as most hood rats like her do). After my results came back, the PA asked me if I was faking it because everything looked normal. Really? I thought that was unprofessional, and I dont deserve this type of treatment; especially for someone that is paying! He doesnt have the qualities to be a doctor. Why would I be faking it? I am only 29 years old, but I felt like I was an 89 year old man in a senior home surrounded by staff that dont give a rats ass if you live or die. I called to complain. I doubt anything will change. For all of you good people reading this, heed my message: DONT GO TO THIS GHETTO HOSPITAL!!! I am sure that 99.9% of you will have the same or worst experience! I am going to see my doctor soon and if they diagnose me with something severe, I am going to sue this PA and this hospital!!!

My mother was sent home from Town & Country rehab after hip replacement, pretty much to die. During her 4 week stay she contracted H pylori and stopped eating 2 weeks after arriving. When she complained of nausea and stomach pain the nurses kept telling us that it was because she wasnt eating. They requested no doctors exam or consultation and didnt tell us of a urinary tract infection she had that they were treating with antibiotics she was pretty much out of her head most of the time she was there. they persisted on with the physical therapy and altho she was losing weight and getting weaker, the minute she could walk 100 feet wearing a belt being held by an attendant with another one behind her with a chair they discharged her saying she was in the acceptable weight loss ratio. She continued to lose about a pound a day for the next couple of weeks. When she was so weak she couldnt stand we took her to a new doctors group who ran numerous tests and determined that she had the H pylori bacteria and that her kidneys had pretty much shut down. He admitted her to another hospital and inserted a feeding tube. When contacted after going back to the hospital the nurse at Town & Country said she could have picked up the bacteria anywhere, which doesnt even matter since they never listened to her complaints. Most of the staff stood around chatting with the exception of very few and in spite of the fact that most of the beds on the floor were empty it generally took 20 minutes to get anyone to help her to the bathroom. She was miserable and the food inedible with or without a stomach bacteria. Avoid this place at all costs.

Went in to ER 2 days ago because my airway closed up..very scary. I know I was anxious, wouldnt you be? I had no idea what was going on. They asked lots of questions, but seemed to not really hear what I was saying. After being led to the back the big guy at the computer stood there and asked questions I couldnt hear and made comments I couldnt hear because I cant hear on my left side just continued on without pause after being told repeatedly that I couldnt hear him. The nurse or whatever she was, didnt introduce herself but proceeded to take blood and something else she didnt really explain what acted stupid when I asked her what was it because it smelled like ether. She said she didnt know what that was. Huh? really? you work in a hospital!. They sent someone in to take a chest x-ray and he was the only decent person there that night. They also did an EKG. I waited for a while and my legs started to fall asleep. I couldnt figure out the bed( which had a stained ill-fitted sheet on it and really was so uncomfortable), so got up and sat in the chair. The doctor came in, looked down my throat for a second and left. The big guy came back later and said it was probably GERD and put something in the IV in my arm. He said it would burn and my problems should get better. They didnt! and they never asked. The doctor came in and said he was doing paperwork and I could go. When the big guy came in to take out the IV he couldnt get the tape off and yanked at it with the needle still in my arm. How unprofessional you all are. This is not a hospital. Stay away! I cant wait to get the bills :(
